I think my favorite moment with him is the fight with Pain.I know that he died at the end of it,but it was the most emotional death in the entire anime (at least to me),it was the first time we were introduced to the sage mode and the first time we got to see Jiraya as a sage,the first time we got to see the rinnegan in action and overall an awesome fight. One of the reasons he is so appealing and loved by the fans (me included) is because he could be both goofy and hilarious at times and badass and serious at other times.And he definitely went like a badass

Like Boruto meet him and become friends just like Naruto did and Boruto ask Jiraiya to meet his father and Boruto introducing Jiraiya as his new old friend in Naruto's office, and Naruto will definitely cry, and Jiraiya explains that he was in a vacation and starts smiling like old times.

Correction: Kisame stated that Itachi can fight with Jiraiya toe-to-toe, which is when Itachi advised against it, because there was a chance no one would get out of it alive.
