I think has my fav haul you’ve done I dreamed of those boats as a kid. This aquazone base is a delight! Thank you for taking us along with the journey :). Octan for the win!
I definitely think you could come up with a modular "pipe" system that goes between the baseplates which you could hide the wires in. Perhaps something based on the big jet turbine pieces LEGO uses on City airplanes (assuming 9V wires fit through those)?
I'm toying with different ideas. I can make cables go through just about anything since I make them myself. I've definitely had projects where I wanted the wire to go through Technic holes and it's no problem if you snap the ends on after the fact
I like it so far. I’m really enjoying these updates, and you’re obviously working really hard on it. Thanks for sharing it with us. If I may make a suggestion: feed the hoses and cables through the older Life On Mars (transparent-brown) pneumatic, corrugated tubes, laying the tubes along the valleys of the baseplates. If you don’t like the sand purple color to be in the layout, instead of using LOM brackets, you could use the transclear brackets from Mars Mission. The tubes between the two themes are only different in color, I believe.
Thanks! I haven't been able to work on it much lately but still have a ton I'd love to do with it

Keep it up!! I wonder if tapping an audio connector into an RCX is worth it for external amp/speaker? Great reminder on the Win7 option for older Mindstorms stuff. I will look into that with a small "industrial" PC I have.
I think station looks great, of course you can always improve but like you said if you get stuck in details nothing will be done. I really like the addition of the fuel tank and seeing the different parts coming together.
Just my 2 cents. I would put the servo motor under the floor to control the monorail switcher piece. It looks like it sticks up right out in the open. Maybe if you put a ceiling over that upper area it would be concealed more. Just a thought. Phil
I won't deny I am part of the problem 😅. In the first video in this series I knew it was probably my last chance to get them in bulk. It was expensive but still much less than buying them one by one from a dozen sellers
The tank really won't be far from the station once they are put back in the layout. I tried the tank on that front platform but it just didn't look right. I'll keep playing with it over time, nothing is set in stone
I just bought a part of the legendery Lego 7777 steam loco and made the tender without motor ( i am planning to get into Lego 12 volt 😅and buy a black motor and paint it red and 3 d print the big wheels but its a cool train 😁 and Here in the netherlands i can buy a grey track 12 volt oval with motor travo etc) Sadly still 60 euros of maybe 75 dollars 😅
It would require a LOT of changes but anything is possible with creative solutions. For me the Lego remote is more fun and is a bit more "pure" Lego wise

Octan and Aquazone together in harmony, a dream come true 😅

That's a pretty cool idea, I always forget about those 😅. Also I can use the 5mm flexible tubing since I make my own cables 🤔
This Aquazone build is amazing. Giving me motivation to put my old aquazone sets together

Yeah I was really surprised that everything worked so well in Windows 7. Even the DACTA Control Lab software which is 16 bit 😅
Lego chrome pieces are a welcome addition to any MOC! I have a couple of those Octan truck setss so I can create tanker train cars.
It's looking better and better all the time.

I suppose it could be done. I don't mind them too much, really I might just add more decoration to them
You actually bought the Chrom pieces 😂 11:15 (I was the one from Discord)
This shouldn't surprise anyone 😅 Many of my purchases / projects started as conversations in Discord
You could put a generator on the platform below the tank that the tank connects to fuel it and power lines going to the train shed by it.
Yeah that's kind of what I'm thinking. I also want to make a main power generator if I have room somewhere 😅. I'm very quickly running out of space!
2.5 IDE SSD damn, thanks, I didn't know about them.
Yep! They are super handy for old laptops. We used them at work for old arcade machines that used IDE hard drives
Looking great!
'These are gonna get harder to ffind over time' (cuz I bought every single AZ baseplate) :-)

The front legs look too busy.... keep the busyness for the scene under the platform.
The octan tank should go with the main station/maintenance shed.

I've never seen anyone paint a 12v motor red 🤔, I know the red motors are crazy expensive 😬. I really liked Reker1000000's MOC similar to the 7777
Can you use a Logitech controller to control it?
It would require a LOT of changes but anything is possible with creative solutions. For me the Lego remote is more fun and is a bit more "pure" Lego wise
What if the oceans of lego city are not water but liquid natural gas?
A man has fallen into the river in Lego city! Start the new rescue heli... Oh he's dead...
