    I just did it. I need to take them down and iron the top flat because it's kind of creased from being in the same tight position for so long. I used rolls cut in half because I don't get a lot of light in this area and I didn't want it to be completely together at the top and cut off sunshine when I use the tiebacks

      Isn’t it such an easy and effective thing to do 😀 I’ve used half rolls too on some of our other curtains as they aren’t very wide. Looks just as good 👌🏻

    I've seen this hack so I started saving my TP & Paper towel rolls. WOW! I did my bedroom & two windows in the Livingroom, they look so much better! I've got to start saving some more cause I have another bedroom window & my patio door. I might just buy a few pool noodles & try that.

    • @BelindaChapman

      It’s such a simple but effective hack. When I look at other peoples curtains I’m like 🤔🤔🤔🤔

    • @rosiezell3487
      @rosiezell3487 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I was so happy with the curtain hack that I went to the dollar tree early this morning to buy some pool noodles. I cut each one down the center & then in two inch pieces. I only needed 28 pieces for the 2 windows so 2 pool noodles was enough ( $2.50) . The pool noodles do a great job as far as looks, but it’s hard to open & close the curtains. I guess if I take each piece and carve out some of the foam it would glide across the rod …. well, maybe for one of those days when I’m extremely bored I’ll take that task on 🤷‍♀️.

    • @BelindaChapman
      @BelindaChapman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Let me know if you get round to doing that as I’ve considered using pool noodles.

    • @rosiezell3487
      @rosiezell3487 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BelindaChapman The pool noodles look great but they fit my rod TOO well. I bought the noodles at Dollar Tree. If you can find a pool noodle that is a larger opening in the center, that would be best. Depending on the size of your rods of course. My rods are probably 1 inch.

    This looks great! My curtains are slightly not wide enough for my windows do you think this would make them even less fitting or does it not affect the width?

    • @BelindaChapman
      @BelindaChapman  ปีที่แล้ว

      It doesn’t affect the width as you can draw them as normal. You can also cut down the size of the tubes. I’ve done that on our downstairs curtains as they are a more flimsy material so look better with smaller pleats. Let me know how you get on if you do it? 🥰

    I love this idea... However what kind of toilet rolls are those? The cardboard tube looks huge lol. I saw this hack before and the reason why I'm watching couple of these videos again is because my cardboard rolls look like the curtain hoops are going to slide right over them cuz they look small... They are much smaller than the cardboard tubes that you have.

    I tried this and over about a couple weeks I found these toilet rolls on the floor. They fall off as you move the curtains back and forth. You could put a piece of tape on the opening of each roll once you put them on the rod I guess.

    • @BelindaChapman
      @BelindaChapman  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s what I ended up doing. A bit of tape to keep them together. Are you a new subscriber to my channel Leslie? 😊

    • @cindykennedy7003
      @cindykennedy7003 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't cut them, just take rod down, put first curtain hook on, thread a toilet paper core onto the pole, place next hood, thread another intact roll on, etc. Then hang the rod with curtains and paper cores already in place, on it. Wouldn't that work better? I was thinking they'd pop off pretty easily every time you opened/closed the curtains with the slit in the back. To me, being really short, climbing up to look over the rod and curtain to put the rolls on then go back n tape them as suggested seems harder than it has to be. Idk, to me, leaving them intact and just sliding one full tube, alternating with one fold of curtain, until all are on rod before hanging it up, seems easier. Sorry if I'm being redundant. Was still trying to work out the process in my head, whilst typing.
