Strong agreement from me, as well. I never understood why some people talk about it so badly. I also don't agree with the common statement than Eldritch Horror has replaced Arkham Horror. I think that is just a matter of people who don't like long games liking that Eldritch is shorter to play. Don't get me wrong... I like Eldritch too, but I prefer Arkham because of the feeling of doom and dread it brings... I like how the monsters move around and can be hugely problematic... that doesn't happen in Eldritch. Anyway, yeah... I agree, Arkham is a blast... and nobody can convince me otherwise. ;-)
Agreed. I really don't understand why people have to be on one side or the other when it comes to the AH v EH debate. I own both, and have everything for both. One's very good, one's exceptional. EH is a snack, but AH is a full-blown banquet.
Speaking of Butterfield's RAF solitaire wargame.. have you tried either of his D-Day ones, which have somewhat similar card-driven mechanics, but with more spacial strategy? I've eyed them for awhile, because I enjoyed RAF and suspect these feature a bit more decision making.
If you like RAF you should give Enemy Coast Ahead: The Dambuster Raid a try. Brilliant solitaire experience with rich narrative. Gameplay is smooth a silk. Highly recommended
I see the third Dawn of the Zeds didn't make your top ten. You seemed to like it in your playthrough, did it not hold up to repeated plays in the end? If you still like it would it be in your top 20?

A piece of advice here: before you present your top 10x tell the criteria you base your ordering on. Because withour it, for outsiders it seems just a random set, and if the author obviously or seemingly did not take any effort, then I would not even look into it.

D Day at Omaha Beach might be one of the hardest solo wargame to beat and it's so much fun .
I haven't - but Omaha Beach is a "Grail" game for me ...
