    On a day like today April 4, 1922, was born 91 years ago Elmer Bernstein in New York ..... Maybe for some who do not know their Great Work ... I will say that they are one of the greatest film composers of all time ... He won an Oscar for Millie, a modern girl (1967) of the 10 times it was candidate ..... Really terrible the academy only be awarded an Oscar ... and he deserved more than 10 to those who had run ... This Suite belonging to "To Kill a Mockingbird" ... is a masterpiece of virtuosity, originality and greatness. .. If we add a work of literature that most touching ever written .... We have one of the best movies ever ....

      Oh, there are many good composers working today. We just miss the times. And it's a matter of taste, of course. I like Christopher Gordon.

      This "transports" me in a way that can almost make me dizzy. At at the same time, for me, it feel a bit like a kick in the stomach. Bittersweet? Is that it? Grew up in NC in the 60s.

    Why would anyone care whether copyright infringement were "intended"? I should think that what matters is whether you do infringe, not whether you "intend" to.

    I've been listening to a french waltz called La Nonchalante there are some stiking similarites to a portion of Elmers suite.Any connection?

      @MontseAntares28101961 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Mark Lozano Not that "Nonchalante" you mean the Fernando Sor ??? .... or to Emmanuel Pariselle ?? The last is after the composition of Elmer !!!

    • @marklozano8388
      @marklozano8388 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Montse Antares .........The Pariselle piece,and I know it was written after Elmers suite just wondering if there was a mention anywhere of an influence. Also, thanks for answering,glad I was'nt the only one hearing the similarity.
