Lunch Hour Sketch and Chill at a Cafe in Vancouver 🎨 Becky Cao art journal

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing with you my lunch time at Hunnybee Luncheonette in Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. This place is so cozy and cheerful on this cold and gray day in winter. I enjoyed my brunch with tea, and sketched the interior in front of me.
🎨 Materials I used:
- Staedtler 0.7mm fine liner pen
- Etchr watercolors (24 half pans)
- Speedball Handbook watercolor journal
- Holbein Water Brush (large tip)
- Deserres water brush (Small tip)

Fabulous result! The foreground details lead your eye directly into the hectic counter and background view. I can imagine the smell of coffee, sounds of silverware on plates, and conversations throughout the cafe. Thank you for your narration and colorwork tips.

Hi becky! Fellow Lower Mainlander here. Love to see your wonderful renderings of our local sites and businesses. Crazy weather for Vancouver this year…not exactly conducive to outdoor sketching. This illustration was excellent! I could smell the coffee and food and felt hungry for as you completed your detailed painting for us 😉 all while your food got cold! Thank you! The results were definitely worth it from our perspective.
