Today I sketeched with a pen without making a drawing in pencil first, just having fun with it. It's far from perfect but somehow after painting it with watercolours is looks cute. Haha I just wanted to thank you for being such an inspiration to me, you are making a difference. ❤️

I'm always amazed at how wonderfully you summarize a busy scene with so much going on; you capture and show the essence and atmosphere of the place beautifully 😍

Hello Becky, from Jim (Madrid - Spain).
Nice video. It us always very interesting to watch different places around the world (never been to Vancouver myself).
And as usual, real nice cafe live sketch. The market place you were at also seemed very interesting for another sketch with all the wooden beams, etc.
THANK you for sharing your talent. Cheers!

    Hi Becky 👋
You're too good 👍. I want to draw like you. I never get people or other objects right 😅. Either the objects are too big or too small 😅. You're a pro 👍👍👍. Thank you for sharing your beautiful drawings.

You do such Fl great work, perspective, color, ohh I wish I could sketch so loosely. Do you make your journals with specific paper?

Thank you. I just buy good quality watercolor sketchbooks. This one is a Clairefountaine watercolor sketchbook.

Paint must be fully dry before adding the next "layer". Otherwise, ur only doing one layer using wet & wet [charging paint] techniques. Love ur style & appreciate ur time.

I forgot to ask you in my previous comment your thoughts on the Books in water brushes versus the Pentel ones... Do the Holbein hold more water? (They seem longer in your videos than a Pentel). And how are the bristles? Same type of quality than Pentel? And... does Holbein has one with a real fine tip?
I am planning to buy 2 and over here in Spain it is easier to find Pentel, Holbein or Derwent, as per main good brands. Can you share any advice?
I bought a Caran D'Ache and I am not liking it that much, so I'm using it with watered down India Ink to get a nice grey for shading in my Ink drawings (I also sketch with coloured inks in addition to watercolor painting).
Sorry for the many questions and I hope I am not too much of a pain...
THANK you in advance for your help and I hope you have another great sunny winter day in Vancouver! Cheers...

Hi Jim, yes the Holbein holds more water than Pentel and Sakura. In my opinion, it is better than Pentel and Sakura.
Holbein has large and medium tip, and I'm not sure if it has small tip. But for me, the medium tip does small details very well. The large tip is juicy enough for quick and broad washes like sky and water areas. It's worth a buy for sure.

@@BeckyCao Thanks Becky for your feedback. I'll probably buy them on my next bulk purchase to my more reliable Art stores here in Spain (I usually buy in bulk to avoid paying shipping costs). Cheers from Madrid!
