Electric is cool and all but this whole going over 100mph is getting over rated asf. Nitro is always where it's at. It just more enjoyable and more knowledge goes into it. Plus I love the smell and sound and everything about nitro. Idc what anyone says nitro is always gonna be better and way more fun but that's just my own opinion. NITRO ADDICT !!!!
And if you buy a used Nitro vehicle sometimes it's in better shape better quality of a new electric because most of the problem is Nitro is built stronger but once you get your Nitro out you finally get it tuned in because everyday is different then you're bored of it or you've got to go do other things with electric you play 5 minutes with it and you feel empty inside so you just start destroying things jumping it higher making it go faster because it leaves you feeling empty

ahaha, yes!! So far nobody has come up with a credible response to my "airplanes are faster" claim. It's a claim that cannot be killed, just like a nitro, ahah. Its like the electric claim people left their logic at the door and I closed it right on their faces! ahah.

Ive had my Tmaxx Classic transmission since 2002 and never has any problems.
It's cool how invested you are into that Tmaxx, heard you say it was one of your first rc's. I'm putting lots into my Emaxx as well, new shocks, aluminum chassis, etc, cause it is my first rc and I plan on keeping it forever.

Those of us that where in the hobby when the tmaxx came out still love them. They were king then and still for most of us king now. Regardless of whats out now. I've got a 6s notorious and still love my tmaxx's more. Speed ain't everything! 😊
If you look on edge of the frive shaft end there little marks where you line thos marks up and it should slide in loke butta if those arent lined up they may go together but will bind up when the weight of the truvk is on them
Ok so this Tmaxx with reverse is my first Nitro with reverse and having to have a 3rd bloody servo 3rd channel and i was wondering why the spur was spinning and the wheels not moving it has to have high rpm's in order to start turning in foward cuz i was kinda lost i still need to put the radio in it and was thinking i hope this f ing thing is not messed up and thats why buddy traded it for my tec4 3.3 😊
Bro inside the trans has them dog ears that sling out during high rpm to engage and sometimes you have to spray some WD40 or something on them dog bones and the spring inside that makes them sling back.
My nitro 3.3 tmaxx has been converted to brushless 4s.....home made aluminum motor mount, spektrum 3200 kv, 150 hobby wing esc, HPI HD 77 mm dogbone center drive shafts, Traxxas diff cups....remove 1 st gear, Dremel out grooves in metal throw out thing for the 2nd gear..line up grooves for 4 screws to thread in to 2nd gear holes.... makes forward n reverse....wheelies all day long...keep in mind the gears are plastic....brushless will strip if ya bash hard....cheers
20 pinion and 72 spur....any faster and ya have to down size tires with less grip like the hobao truggy tires

It’s the screw that holds the main drive gear to the shaft. They snap all the time. It has nothing to do with the forward / reverse set. It’s part # 4995 and it comes with both gears and the new set screw that shears off pretty often unfortunately. It’s under $10 at A-Main. I hope this helps someone.

You need to try Rockstar drinks engine light energy try that for size do you like energy all day
Take the clutch out hit it with some degreaser and some diff grease.
You need a drive shaft
Spin it with compressed air

You literally opened the trans and closed it back up. Where was the teachings? The tips? What to look for? Explanations of parts, their operations, symptoms of parts when they go bad, tests, replacements/ possible upgrades. New format for videos? Idk. Just my two cents brotha! But love the channel’s footage!
hey dude how you doing! This was a live video and check inside the trans. I have since order a new forward only conversion for this truck and it needs to be installed. During this live video there really was nothing else I could do, it's easier to just install a forward only and remove the entire reverse system entirely. YEs, the format of this video is different from the non-live streams on this channel. Thanks for watching. BTW I have tons of other informative vids on nitro repairs.

Are you reverse is not working on your T-Maxx or no reverse try that for size learn better try to find your T-Mac to mission box I had the same team Max and you I got to get my transmission box fixed so I can get my team back running
I know this is a little over 12 hours old but please tell me you got this fixed it was embarrassing to watch in a way because it was so simple I couldn't make it all the way through it because of the anticipation of you finding out the problem and that you only had half of it tore apart I know it looks difficult to figure out but once you figure it out it's almost like a no-brainer it's simplistic to the Core but if you don't know it it looks like Chinese math
