I'm at the airport now 8:25p and the airport is shut down. There's flights cancelled and planes are being diverted to Phoenix Arizona and some other airplanes are just flying around in circles and waiting for this to clear the airport is being blown by 60 MPH gust.

Lake Mead and other reservoirs in that area need water so bad I wouldn't be complaining.

Sorry but our rain here doesn’t help Lake Mead…the water comes from the Colorado mt.snow melt!

I believe if it comes down thru the Virgan River it ends up in Mead and if it rains hard over Mead,we'll duh.

Great to see Kevin Janison doing the weather again!! We all thought he retired, but with Dani Beckstrom moving on to WABC in the Big Apple, KTNV needed a new meteorologist. I don't know if this is a try out, or if Kevin decided to stay on a more permanent basis. Nevertheless, he is a top grade weatherman and an asset to Las Vegas, and to KTNV!
