He shouldn't be retain through the uncapped player. This is disrespect for him. If he wants to play IPL then he should be retain as third player which is lowest salary of retention.

U didn't mention that if a Team Retains 5 players they have to give 18cr to 1st and 4th retained player and 14cr to 2nd and 5th,this will make the auction more interesting,if this rule was not introduced then this auction doesn't feel like mega auction because teams like KKR,MI,SRH will retain all the core group of their Team.

I have been hearing that each franchise can pay over the specified slab to a player without getting a deduction in the purse. For eg. if MI retain Bumrah (18 Cr), Sky (14 Cr), & Rohit (11 Cr), they can offer Rohit more than 11 Cr (for eg. 18 Cr) , but only 11 will be deducted from their purse. Any idea if that is true?
