How can a small business owner pay all of the permit fees and pay for months of rent when they can't even move into their business. I've had an experience where the health department wouldn't approve my plans until I put a $3,000 air-curtain on double doors that were inside of a building(didn't lead outside). when the health inspector came for final inspection she told she didn't care if I had an air-curtain there or not because it wasn't necessary. $3,000 out the door because of the incompetence running the city. For any future business owners.. DO NOT COME TO CALIFORNIA. With the regulations, fees, rent, woke practices, inflation there are no profit margins.
