In my time we had to fill the grease gun by hand from a large container. Then came the tubes. What joy. Keep up the good work and you are right, grease is cheap.
Great idea. I've got a locked up (won't take grease) pin on my tractor backhoe - upper swing pin. I've changed the fitting, still locked up. Heated it up, didn't help. Maybe if I swing it while greasing it might take grease? I'll try it.
@Raymundo Thanks. I tried to hammer oil into it with a grease buster but just broke off the fitting. Would be nice to pull the pin, have to figure out how to rig up the boom...
I have always ran steel tracks, they get better traction, added weight for stability and I have gotten over 5000 hours out of a set. They were completely shot but they made it. Hope that was helpful. Thanks for watching and have a great day.

🙂
When I used my grandfather's grease gun way back in the 70's it was hand filled from a ? 12 gallon barrel of grease. He was a rancher/farmer.
Nice to know I'm not the only one who runs out of grease every time I grease something.
😄
You work in the most scenic office i have ever seen. Your in Gods country.
I do love what I do.
Thanks for the info, I have a kx057 and its pretty similar to yours.
🙂
I was one of the requests!!! Thank you!!
You are welcome 😊
I really appreciate the information! Any Bank Jobs coming up?
Not right now, I could sure use one 😉
Jeramy, I would like to know where I can get those pin guards you use on your quick attach pins if you wouldn't mind. Thanks.

That's actually a good idea, spreads the grease evenly.

@@johnoswald6192 there is a cheap tool to try that is called a grease rejuvenator that you can try, I normally just pull and clean it.
@John Oswald I have a tool for that that forces solvent into it and clears the clog. Remind me the next time you need me and I will bring it along.

not cleaning the zerks before greasing? 1:58 - grease coming back out of a zerk is often due to dirt and debris.
You are correct. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful day.
How do you clean it u take it apart?
Did u pick out the tracks over rubber if so why

How often do you grease it. Someone says everyday others say every two days. ?
I grease daily unless I only work it a couple hours, otherwise every day. Have a great day 😀
How do you know when the fitting has enough grease
When you see grease pushing around the joint. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful evening 😀
Jeramy what part of our Country are you in?
Southern Oregon
Hour north of San Francisco here. Poison Oak and oak trees here too
What grease do you use?
Kubota moly grease.
The manual says Mobilux Ep2. That's what I use on my KX040-4. Kubota does not even recommend their own grease.
@giii7599 I have started using the Kubota brand again, it's much cheaper than the valvoline.
