I bought one of these in 1966 with money collected from my paper route. Cost, I think, $68.00 plus change. I loaded this bike with front and rear side baskets. Very handy and durable. Sure wish I had another today just for old times sake. Thanks for the video.

I keep coming back to this video. Actually the chrome on that bike has held up pretty well over the years.

I can remember at the age of 11 working as a newspaper delivery boy a lot of my friends Road Bicycles like that delivering newspapers but when I delivered newspapers I had one bicycle that was one up from a Schwinn heavy duty and it was a cycle truck and it really had a big basket where you can put at least a hundred fifty to two hundred newspapers in the front and I remember my bike also had those big rear baskets just like what you were showing in the video and I added another 50 newspapers and boy I sure made a lot of deliveries up until the age of 16 the worst deliveries were the Sunday Editions but sure made a lot of money I still wish I had that old Schwinn cycle truck that was a money maker but I'm glad to see a Schwinn heavy duty not been molested by such heavy use and the saddle on that bike looks like a B6 Phantom saddle that looks a little earlier from the late forties through the mid 50s.

I bought one of these in 1994 for $279. It says made in Hungary. Back then you could get an 18 speed Specialized Mt. bike for $299 but preferred the single speed for reliability. It has sat outside for 30 years and no pits in the chrome handlebars.
IUnfortunately, it looks like your forks are bent in from maybe hitting curbs. I have a stronger fork on my bike.
In 30 years, I am now on my 4th set of pedals and 3rd seat. Rear wheel has the best coaster brake I have ever had.

Good eye on the bent fork, Stan! I wish I had info on axel to axel dimensions.

The #s I found on the bike. D447097. I looked up in the catalog said the bike was made for 17 1964. I was just curious if anybody knew what what it would be worth
