Have similar situation. Right at the base and just inside the heel. It’s been 2 months. Initial physio aggravated it, I’m in turkey. Language and quality professionals is a problem. I’m having to try to heal myself but I’ve now missed half the season here. It’s depressing and I’ve let it affect me emotionally to the point I’ve gained a few kgs 🤦🏻♂️
I sprained my ankle 5 weeks ago and have had some mild pain around my Achilles pain since the start along with the other symptoms . Is this normal ? Or should I get reassessed
@@physiorehab Cheers Tim! Also you mentioned at 5:40 that you'd show a progress update in 2-weeks to gauge if he's ready or not. Wondering where I could find that video? thx
Had the same question. No worries then. Thanks for the first video anyway. It’s the only video I’ve found online anywhere for 2 months since I got injured that is close to what I have. @@physiorehab
Thanks TIm very informative. What are your thoughts on some therapists these days saying that there are no such things as "Knots" or "adhesions" in soft tissue structures. Thanks
I have 2.8 rupture since May 34, 2021 I am able to walk with a slidely limping, squat, bend my knee to the wall with no pain. Is it true that the tendon is like a rubberband ? What are the consequences in a long term if I don’t do the surgery. I am 51 years old. Would I be ok if I don’t do surgery? Please tell me if I do need a surgery or not? Thank you so much.
hey tim I have a question, after being able to do elevated calf raises with weights on one leg, do you think I can return sports if I have no pain the day after those exercises
Hi Tim, I sprained my ankle about a month ago. rested it for 2 weeks, then resumed normal basketball activities to later experience achillies pain. Any tips?
Thanks for sharing your expertise with us! 👏👏👏👏👏
You’re very welcome!
Can’t find the link to a follow up of this? No dedicated Achilles playlist on your channel. Help please 🙏🏼

You might be either doing too much on it or not enough. Perhaps have the physio take another look
What did you say to help flush out the inflammation?
Hey Tim, great video! I have the same issue. When you say to rest for a week, what kind of exercise would you still allow? Cheers
Upper body, core etc. rest the lower body

Better to listen to surgeons who open people up and see it for themselves

If it’s healed up ok then you just need to work in long term strengthening

Hopping 30 times on the spot with no symptoms and equal to other side is a good gauge of return to sport
@@physiorehab do you mean hopping normally or on one leg? and also do i wait a day to see if I have any symptoms
Should I do this exercise if even walking is hard & painful for me?
Perhaps follow my rehab program for the best guidance for what to do: physiorehab.com/rehab-programs-achilles-injury-surgery-rehab
I think I have this same exact issue
