  • Every day is a learning experience. Sometimes its better to walk away but never give up. Set goals and go after them.

Nice going Dave. Good to see that a ‘mechanic’ has waved a mig at it without knowing nothing about a Beetle 😂 Super Beetle Solutions in the US do a cross panel bracket for the front bulkhead. They save so much time, are integral to the structure, correct gauge and have the captive nuts. An aftermarket bulkhead probably won’t have them so well worth it even if you fabricate around them. Have a great time away, Phil

Hello Buddy, I’m going to check out super beetle solutions in a bit. Thanks for the information. Always nice to hear from you. You have a great day also.

The only thing a Super Beatle is good for is getting cut down and rebuilt as a Baja Bug . Super Beatles are right up there on the ugly factor with the AMC Gremlin & the Ugo .

Hello Mark, I agree the older standard beetle is definitely the most desirable. Baja bugs are cool, I’d like to build one someday, but I also believe beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Great hearing from you Mark thanks for the comment.
Ha! I had a pacer when I was younger. It looked like an aquarium on wheels. Ha that was ugly! 👍🤓
One thing is for sure any VW bug is fun to drive.

@@busterstravels1534 Ty for responding . I had a 1954 betel in 1986 . yes they are cool and fun . My 1st car was a 1976 Gremlin / Orange with a V8 and my surf board was as long as the car upon the luggage rack . Lol / If I were to restore old cars I would go with Toyota's of the 70s & 80s more bang for the buck .

@markboulton4500 I was born in 54, I’d love to find a affordable one now. The Grenlins with the v8 were cool. Well Mark have a good night. Nice chatting. Almost forgot I did have a I believe it was a small Toyota Corolla four speed it was a ball to drive and great on gas. I think the motor was a K3.

It was more work then I planned on but in the end all was good. Some of the extra work was like me forgetting to disconnect the steering. I’m sure next time will be easier. 👍

The super beetles are different but the welded firewall and forgetting to disconnect the steering components made it a little more difficult. Thanks for watching. Have a great night.
