Gaus camera freezing really tripped me out. I went from doubting his cam was a picture to accepting it to being totally stunned.
Gau's frozen camera was perfect - I feel like it froze at the perfect time of when that match started slipping away from him and continues in that line

I think it was a memory lapse (pun intended) and they just finished the thought instead of backtracking if the realized what they said was not possible.

2:00 isn't it better to fetch for a sacred fountain? Gau shouldnt be concerned about his life total, and fetching for a mountain signals to Nassif that he has drawed a land+ that land produces white, bc if he only has one land he for sure would have fetched for a sacred. Hiding the fact you have drawed a land could make Nassif to take a greedier line thinking that Gau can only operate with one land for the moment
I agree, one as a BURN player in most cases should not worry about total life. But at the time I think it was a combination of a bit of inexperience.

Gau punted that first game so hard. He could have won so easily. Keep the land in hand to discard it to Liliana, deal 6. Untap deal 6, gg. Trying to win an interaction race with a control deck is a hopeless strategy. All you need to do is get rid of your hand and liliana is useless.

No, he's just an expert at only moving his hands while keeping the rest of his body still. Probably has a huge experience from working as a living statue.
