Lakes MTB - Fairfield 'Steep Chunder'

I have an older GoPro and decided to give it a run out to see if it still worked so was using 2 cameras for a period on this ride so gives a slightly different perspective here and there. Unfortunately the helmet cam batteries didn't last too long and went flat part way down the descents which wasn't ideal but the footage I got was pretty useable..
The ride itself was one I have done a few times or at least variations of but not since 2021 so welcomed the different trails in better weather. It seems lots of places in UK were wet and muddy with the lakes being unusually dry in comparison so happy days
The ride itself was quite technical with an uber techy descent off Fairfield which in places is beyond my capability.

That's a big day out, especially when you add Loughrigg at the end. I can't imagine going up Red Screes as pleasurable especially with an ebike. An alternative to this route would be to head south from Fairfield summit to Rydal, then descend to Grasmere via Alcock Tarn.

I don't think getting an ebike up somewhere you would typically hike-a-bike being any fun but my mate does a pretty good job of it. There is one thing for sure, he ain't a quitter. Thanks for the suggestion on routes, previously been that way but not on this loop, always willing to hear about different descents, cheers

Pretty gnarly, hold on for grim death off Fairfield 🤣. Pig of a job to get an Ebike onto Red Screes (according to Mark). Would suggest going up Sweden Bridge/Scandale Pass. I'll keep an eye out on Strava 👍🏼

@@paulbrewer4025 I'm guessing because I've slept since then but would say he used say 60% but he throttled it back to 10-20% assist. This loop is no as rideable as 4 passes and given a choice on an ebike wouldn't go up the side of red screes to get to the summit, would do the path off kirkstone which will be more rideable on an ebike, you would do much if any of it on the analogue
