Indeed it is. so awesome I honestly think Elton often used to run the RD-1000 midi out into a MKS-20 to layer sounds. I'm pretty sure that's what he's doing here. I hear the RD-1000 output, but there's also a MIDI cable, and I think in both of these songs I hear a different sound layered under the main sound - "daniel" sounds like e.piano 2 with a small amount of piano 2 mixed in - and "sad songs" sounds like the opposite blend.
I have loved Elton's solo performances over all. Only the man and the piano:)
The first line in Daniel sounds just like the original!
It does actually
Sad Songs sounds better here than most 1988-1989 versions from the tours!
In Barcelola 1992 lol
There’s no intro to growl out lol
Matches 1972 timbre in the first line! 0:24.
The RD-1000 [Roland] is fantastic.

@@bojackhorseman5367 he uses the mks-20 to this day he started using it shortly after retiring the rd-1000
The acoustic piano sounds are terrible, be honest, by comparison to even the best sampled sounds then (e.g. the Kurzweil).
@@homeone4054 Nothing could beat a Kurzweil K250 for piano sounds but i guess Elton kept using the MS-20 because he must like the sound of it.
@@bojackhorseman5367 Elton really loves the MS-20. I had one for a while but it had sound problems so got rid of it.
Lindas canções Sir Elton John. ❤💙💛💚
em love this song: sad song
buenisimas canciones
Brilliant. Of course.
Personally I don't think Sad songs in this rock setting goes with the lyrics
