this guy has no idea what he is talking about you dont go by price omg , they cheaper you go the worse its going to be out of all this here , he got one thing right but didnt even know it roland 202 is the best starter , but as far as starter controllers you get a lite software means a half software means your limited at what you can do and the software will have a nag screen pop up on screen and yes you will need s laop top or pc ,
for the full version you need to pay the full price , meaning a higher controller and with that your not only buying a higher controller but you all so get the full software for free it comes with it !!!!!
the Traktor. use to be on top but now is a fading controller stay away from them , as far as Serato they are number one controller and roland too good brands , other things you need to know what your doing the software is just a tool to help you but you need to know beat and beat matching too that is the number one thing , sync does not help you its a cheat tool that only works to long
you use your hands to break match ! and timing the beats ............gee this guy did not do his math well at all there is so much he didnt cover , if you have dj on real turntables for 28 years and moved to digital its eazy , anyway a real dj can beat any digtal dj eazy he may as well not even go on stage
he will lose , know your bpms know your songs forwards and backwards where the breaks are
your not going to get there over night it may take a year or even 5 years and you move up controllers
buying a dj mixer with more fxs will not make you a better dj once you master that controller you buy your mext one , i see many djs go and buy a controller and put down a grand and dont know who to use the gear you dont want that , everyone will walk away and leave the party , Beginner DJs need to have a clean set up for music ......the radio version and a dirty version , the clean version you play at mom and pops aka mom and dads party and family and the dirty is the one you play at your age party and let lose , and never ever dowmload music from youtube its a copy of a copy a rip from a rip it is flat sound , getting into music thats another story , and that would take another 3 hours
so your going to do alot of work to be a dj .....you spend 6 to 8 hours evvery day and night and weekends you will get better over time and record you dj mixs and hear your mixs and get better play it back see where you need help ...lots of luck and yes now they have controllers that you dont need a laptop top or pc but the screens that are on that mixer can go out at any time , and not only that you have to pay to use any music at partys its a law , you just cant play at a wedding anything there is a fee you have to pay you need to look into that , thats where it gets tricky
party at home you can play and mix till your blue in the face no worrys at all its when you go out side then things change , and you have to worry about fights you have to deal with that too
and worry about girls or women fighting over a song that is being played one can ask you to play a song and then another and when they dont hear that song a fight can start with them ......and request are another thing or someone getting near you as your dj and say whats that and drop there drink on your gear or get sick on it too........or fall on you and your gear or the table they can sit on it and it gives and you lose everthing !!!! you got the deal with the crying girl that use to be my song
and you got kids running all over in back of you and under your table another thing to worry about
