It’s actually a clever way to tie in MODOK’s original origins into the game. 616 MODOK was an experiment created by AIM to kill Inhumans and The Avengers. Eventually he became too powerful and turned on his creators.
It’s a nice nod to the fact that he didn’t become a weapon by his own hand, but rather being a guinea pig for AIM.
Got to say caps death looks very preventable. Like why didn't he just throw his shield into reactor and run for it..

He ordered the reactor room sealed to try and prevent the energy from the reactor escaping
so he had no where to run.

The only thing that makes this game worth playing is the campaign. The acting and the story is really really good here. It'd be a shame to miss it.

The funny thing is that this exact same scenario happened at the end of the first God of War (a series known for QTEs) in the boss against Hades, but during that fight you actually directly control giant Kratos and fight Hades like it's a normal boss battle, only difference is the map from earlier in the game is tiny.

I just finished the campaign and finished Taiking A.I.M. and I personally think M.O.D.O.K was great, I'm so happy they made him more terrifying and less silly looking and just looked like a head with only legs and arms 😂
When well known (but very two dimensional) characters in a franchise get a lot more dept from a relatable back story, that’s one of my favourite things ever. I was not a big fan of this game at all, but I absolutely LOVE the care they gave M.O.D.O.K. 😍

Never will understand MODOK and his plan: he wishes to eradicate Inhumans but is an Inhuman himself (I know he's normally not but he was exposed to Terrigen so that makes an Inhuman in this gaming continuity). He didn't want superpowers but he freely uses technology manipulation whenever he can.
I mean hitler hated non-Germans and non-aryans, even though he was neither, people can be confusing at times
My guess is that his plan was to distort everyone else and then himself
To be far near the end of the game he says “even if it has to end with me” I think that implies that he doesn’t plan on living on after his task is complete at least that’s what it seems to me
He didn’t choose to be an inhuman, that was Monica experimenting on him
he hates superhumans because he sees their power backfiring on humanity.
Thus he decided to use his power as MODOK to rid the world of inhumans and superpowered humans
He never intended to live beyond wiping out all inhumans/supers on the planet including himself.
His plan was to get rid of inhumans and even says he'll get rid of supers even if it ends with him.
Dude is willing to kill himself for the cause.

I don't believe that it was Crystal Dynamics' fault, more so the Square Enix executives who wanted to turn this into a live service game instead letting it be filled with love and passion and fun like the Batman Arkham quadrilogy and Insomniac's Spider-Man games, cause Crystal Dynamics can make some extremely fun games.

Modok is a robotic clone or cyborg Clone hybrid which stands for Mental Organism Design Only for Killing or computing in the past when it uses to be called Modoc. George was part of Modok but he was his designer and creator. how Modok killed after the malfunction. Modok may have been able to design a device that can gather memory or information from the brain as if it is computer Data or as if the information is extracted from a Harddrive. He may have gathered information from George Tarleton's but he doesn't share his D.N.A. I don't mind if the game designer or writer wants to change his origin, but the one I mention is his original story.

The problem in ant man isn’t the design, it’s the personality of the character and how he’s treated. I would have loved to see him be unhinged and villainous, maybe even the primary villain, only to have Kang appear near the end
Umm, it is. His face looks like a poorly done deepfake. It's unnaturally wide. If they made his face more grotesque, like in the comics, and here, he'd look far more threatening while still being ridiculous.

The hulk couldn’t break the kree sentrys eye, Thor could barely scratch it, but Kamala can kick its ass? Modok also yoking they abomination up and the abomination not easily breaking out an leveling the entire building. Graphics is amazing but seems like they don’t know much about the characters there writing about. At least they got captain America down pat.
the other stuff is dumb but on the modok part in the comic's modok has bodied abomination before and i assume (because sure) modok's power enhanced it's natural grip so while in a physical fight modok would lose modok has erased abomination with a single mind beam before.
From what I've seen, Modok's performance is probably a saving grace of the game.

This is what would happen if Senator Kelly became The Leader of Hulk fame. Honestly feel like The Leader should have been the villain instead of MODOK because this hardly feels like MODOK. That's pretty much the only problem I have with this character, though. Otherwise, he is an effective villain. He and Monica are both despicable; while George is murderous towards people with a disease, Monica only sees them as an asset. And that is horrifying either way.
Jury's out but considering i didn't like Cross in Ant Man, this MODOK is more fearsome.
