This is the most extensive collection of Bonsai that probably exist(or that most people have ever seen), many years of hard work and endless thought went into each one- Thank you for the tour.
Thank you for taking a field trip to David and thank you David for the lectures on Sundays. Many hours many Sundays so much knowledge you conveyed. Can't wait to get your book.
Another fun tour David, thx for the inspiration. As a former collector of primitive’s I feel the old spark lighting back up & w/b on the lookout for a collected piece. Dave’s collection is fabulous!
@@BonsaiSociety Hi Dave. Just stumbled across your channel. I noticed he said he didn't know some of the species. If he was to grab a any ol plant identification app on his phone he can just take a pic with it and immediately get the species. Food for thought.
@@MrBoDiggety Dave is very familiar with all the species but sometimes there are some varieties that are much harder to identify. For instance there are thousands of cultivars of Azaleas. It's practically impossible to know exactly which one it is even with an app or a website unless the previous owner disclosed it
So beautiful collection. You know David , I was amazed most of Dave's trees are from nusery stock. If you treat any tree proper way after some time can looks like real bonsai. Thanks for sharing.👍
That was a wonderful visit to a fantastic collection! I'd love to meet both of you - the knowledge you have between you must be immense. And you're both nice friendly blokes! Thanks from Australia.
Magnificent specimens! I congratulate you on your exquisite collection, and how well they look.. I ask: the pines all have the same type of substrate... or some are more draining and alkaline than others. ?
While I'm saying the same about the PNW, I've seen former PNW citizens who now living in tropical environments say they are so thankful they can now find tropical trees in the ditches. Same trees we pay big money for here, they have growing in wilds everywhere.
That tree with all the right angles is an inspirational work of art!!!
This was a real treat to see Dave's artistry in his personal collection. Thank you for the tour.
That redwood bridge is by far the coolest!
@@remingtonjarvie5183 phenomenal specimen indeed
Thanks David for the tour of David's trees!!!
That tree with only right angles! I mean wow, so cool looking

Thanks for watching them!

Oh! God Your tree is so beautiful,,
How do you get thicker trunk stock to bend or is it done with the trees are young?
Beautiful 😊

It's a Stewartia I have one in my collection too but they seem to prefer the PNW climate
Thank you for response..I have one in my pnw yard, not a bonsai or in a pot tho and still young and trunk isn't that beautiful. Gorgeous specimen!

Such a great photographer, I luv the sun, cand peoples backs, why bother capturing the specimens.
We're looking at $500K USD worth of bonsai right there.
I can't believe his name is Groot.
I am DeGroot !
Wow, just a modest collection? Oh to live in the USA and dig these trees out of drainage ditches.
While I'm saying the same about the PNW, I've seen former PNW citizens who now living in tropical environments say they are so thankful they can now find tropical trees in the ditches. Same trees we pay big money for here, they have growing in wilds everywhere.
Came back to update you that I found a beautiful cedar with a THICK trunk between a highway overpass and a Walmart! so basically a ditch
