Wow! Big compliment to have you watch my video. Yes carnivore is the way! Good luck with your pasture! I promise that there is a rich seed bank of vibrant perennial native grasses and other forage waiting for the soil fertility!
Ken, break the soil. A lot of those old hearty "weed seeds" need a flash of light before they will germinate. They sit there waiting under the surface until the soil has been broken and sunlight shines in before they come to life.
My Depression and Anxiety have gone since going Carnivore. I'm so much happier. As someone who used regular try ways of "ending it", I am soooo happy it's all changed.
Thanks. Didn't know that about B12. Am only 6mos carnivore, trying to heal breast cancer, (at 87, a tumor of 59 years standing erupted). Now I go for B12 shots and am on the Tippens protocol, with zero help from my supposedly integrative oncologist who refuses to add IVM to the fenben I already started 4mos ago, before meeting him. Despite studies showing the synergy of the two against cancer. Live or die, I am on my own. You are lucky to be SO aware and still young. May you thrive!!!💖
Go go go! We create our reality. I study Neville Goddard & Joe Dispenza and healed almost everything in my body!!! Now....100% meat has me feeling like a college guy! Im 57!!! Intention is key! 🙏🏽❤️
You are your best friend, your best psychologist, your best doctor ! I say it respectully, avoid to say "I'm trying" because it induce the notion of doubt. The Universe in on your back. Like Neville says, visualise yourself already cured and in full health. My best wishes to you, stay in the present moment and do all the things that makes you happy !
@@4XtraOrdinaryMen I am a LONG time Goddard fan. Have all his slim volumes. Saw his actual videos that used to be online. Have read Dispensa, watched him, but Neville has always resonated the strongest with me. My oncologist is as busy seeing me in palliative care and then hospice, so I am the only one holding the image against his vision. Forty some years ago in India an old man told me I would die at 87. Pretty much never thought about that until I was informed that once the tumor had fungated, it's six months to a year to live. It has now been fungated for a year and a half, so if course (with the pain and morning and night cleansings) I am looking forward to April 21st, when I will be 88.💖
Jeff from the channel “blessings on my journey” Is fighting cancer right now and doing fasting whenever he gets his chemotherapy and then eating meat in between the fasting so you might check out his channel. Then DC learning to live channel is about a gentleman who has a blood cancer in remission and who does the carnivore way of eating! Hope this helps.❤
Great video man! I'm on day 151 today on carnivore - fckin game changer from Keto. I started at 196lbs (6ft 42yo M) I'm now 168lbs and shredded like a julienne salad. No more gas - like none what's so ever which is super weird tbh. To live life flatulent free is shocking and amazing at the same time. No more bloating, no more large BM's - only small ones 1per/day vs the 2-3 when I use to consume fruits and veg. No more under eye bags or joint pain. Running faster/longer and lifting more at the gym. I wake up without any lag and rip thru the day without mental fatigue. I only gave carnivore a try because someone online in the comment section dared me to a 30 day challenge after I called BS on all these benefits ppl were claiming - they were sooo right and I owe that commenter everything because I now understand.
I’m just over 2 weeks on a strict Carnivore diet,… After my Steak tonight, I stumbled on one of my hidden Organic dark chocolate bars and caved 🙁 I only had 2 squares, and OMG, the belly bloat is real,… I’m also still in belly ache mode well over an hour later,… So not worth it 😫
@@markhd2023 - I didn't at first, but reintroduced black coffee a couple months ago but only on random days when in the mood. I haven't noticed any difference really other than it hitting me harder than before. Coffee seems to be 50/50 with ppl on carnivore. Bone broth has replaced the everyday morning coffee for me.
40 years meat based diet so far for me. The worst I ever felt in my life was when I went plant based for 7 months in 1993. Always anxious and became accident prone. I started the carnivore diet in 1983 because I wanted to get a heart attack.
I get sick about three times a year, it's usually a headache with sneezing for a couple of days, that's it. As for libido I have none because I am asexual. I sleep well at least 7 hours every night, in bed at midnight and up at 8AM. Poop once a day and it's complete within 5 minutes or less. No gas except when sick. Dreams are every night and quite vivid. At age 55 I have no grey hair and no chronic aches or pains. I generate no garbage because there is no food waste. Agreed I never eat out because nothing tastes as good as it does at home.
@@ArthurDessy Once you cut off all the carbs and processed stuff, it is very affordable. You can buy a small freezer and buy a 1/4 or 1/2 from local farm. Try the meat from farm first. Eat lots of fat too.

I’m a fair skinned ginger so, I used to get sunburn all the time. I don’t get sunburn anymore. If I do, it’s gone the next day. I also had an earwax problem. I have almost no earwax now. Used to have to clean my ears out once or twice a day. Not anymore 🤙
I changed my diet cold turkey 12-01-2019. Overnight. Haven't been sick once and agree with everything you say. I'm now 70. Carnivore is the way of eating for me.
Thx PJ, I need motivational chats like this regularly. As a lone Carnivore, YT posts are my pep talks. Off to Poland holiday in a few months. Deliberately booked Airbnb to we can buy food from supermarket. Daughter wants me to have some pierogi but, seriously, I don’t want to stray from this way of life. Thx again, 👏
Carnivore quadrupled my testosterone after years of "healthy plant based" eating. I'm the only person I know who hasn't had COVID or even a cold in four years. And I quit ten Rx. I'm 74, so the pills had accumulated due to dietary deficiency and inflammation. No longer my problems.
Thanks for an informative and helpful video PJ. I'd add: No shopping list or recipes needed, plus in and out of the supermarket in five minutes. No food waste due to spoilage. Protecting the rainforest by saving on toilet paper.
I had a traumatic childhood resulting in chronic anxiety as an adult. Only six weeks on carnivore and I have ZERO anxiety. I don’t understand. I have to rethink my whole story now. How has meat eliminated the impact of my childhood?!
This isn't the same thing, but I've had an almost life-long phobia of bees and wasps. Not fear, but an actual phobia. I live in Texas and I couldn't spend time outside most of the year because there's always bees and wasps around. I'm 52, went carnivore 2 1/2 years ago, and about 6 months ago I'm walking back from the mailbox when I spot a wasp and just think, "Huh, there's a wasp" and keep walking. Then I stopped, in shock. Did I just ... walk calmly past a wasp? Past me would have shrieked and about killed herself getting back to the house. Pure panic. But not present me. How could carnivore cure a phobia? I don't even know, but it absolutely did. I do also have issues from childhood trauma, and those have either improved or disappeared on carnivore too. But for some reason I'm even more shocked by my phobia disappearing. I also have a pretty bad fear of heights, but I'm not going to test that out until I get my knee fixed and until I've gotten quite a bit more strong and agile. But I know I used to have a problem even watching videos of people high up on ledges and stuff, and now I can watch them without having anxiety.
That is just incredible! Anxiety is the root of all fear so I guess it makes sense that if our anxiety disappears, so would our irrational fears. I did not want to admit it but I am petrified of the dark, well, I used to be anyway. Now I can't remember what all the fuss was about. I have no issues with the dark at all anymore. For the first time in my 47 years I sleep with no night light. Inflammation seems to be responsible for so many issues. I wish I knew about all this in my twenties, what a different life I would have had! @@HappilyCarnivore
Been high meat keto now for about 9 months and havent had a cold since I started. Used to spend nearly all winter with a cough and a runny nose. I'm not very strict, regularly cheat, enjoy a beer and will occasionally have a piece of cake or piece o chocolate. Dont get sunburnt any more, and my libido has increased. Oh and I lost 15kg
Doing it a month now. Suffering from severe anxiety and slight depressions. I sit in my emotions and hold on to things. Health wise I didn’t notice too much, but I will say that my brain is performing better since a couple of days. Better memory and I am processing things, what I would consider, „healthier“. I’ve had lots of talks and lots of awareness, though as soon as I felt some kind of negative emotion I was stuck. Now, in just one 1 week I was able to switch the flip.. 🤷♂️ there’s also other things I’ve noticed but this is the biggest one so far for me.
This is the first time I have seen any videos from this channel. Great video! And the comments are incredibly encouraging as well! So I subscribed. Not just for the video but also for the community in the comments. This has been very very helpful to me. I basically decided just last week to go animal based with a little bit of select non animal foods. I’m 53, Have had endocrine issues, fatigue, sucky menopause symptoms and other stuff -ready to be done with it so I can get back to healthy and perhaps even better than ever. 🙌🏼
Welcome, we're so glad to have you! I love the community that's been built up in the comments. It's so encouraging to hear everyone's story. I hope these videos and the community give you the encouragement you need to try this out and see if it can help you. That's what it's all about! Good luck on your journey, keep us all posted!
Animal based for 3 years now. Ate a scone as an experiment. Could not fall asleep, had anxiety and restlessness for three nights. When I was plant based I thought I was a night owl… Have not had a cold for three years, oh yeah, I’m animal based for three years…caught the big C and lost sense of taste/smell for 7 days, had snotty nose and temperature peaked at 99.1. It was a really mild case. I will never go back to grains, seed oils or fruits and vegetables except my new found desserts, sauerkraut and dill pickles served with sharp, aged cheddar or Gouda cheeses.
at the moment i have no money for meat so i am eating only fruit and i get what your saying about sleeping problems since not having no meat have been eating fruit for the last 5 days i am having problem with sleeping
Omg this is so true. Every single point you make I can verify from my own personal experience. I make sauces with artichokes, hearts of palm, or avocados with cream cheese and Mayonnaise. I also eat sauerkraut all the time with fish or as a topping over the sauce that I put on the meat. Eggs with onions and soaked mushrooms and butter too. I rarely eat more than 30 grams of carbs.
can relate on the not-getting-sick thing. I'm not on carnivore quite (i have avocado and cheese for breakfast) but my girlfriend gets sick all the time and i never seem to get ill
That's why it's great to say that you are "animal-based" just including a few low inflammatory plant products that make animal-based more sustainable for the long term
Less trash to carry out to the curb. It takes me a week or more to half fill a tall kitchen garbage bag. Except for when I make bone broth, almost no food waste.
Yep, I don’t get sick. It’s true sometimes I might feel slightly that I will be getting something but come morning it’s gone like you said. I love meat.
This is interesting! My BO got SO bad the 2-3 month on this I was thinking something was going wrong, I must be doing something wrong. Going into month 5 now and it's gone and I've learned about oxalate/ toxin dumping.
Hey PJ, Tried carnivore for a week about 2 years ago. Unfortunately, got salmonella and that derailed my effort. You've given me the motivation to give it another chance once Lent is over. Great video!
Recipe videos often go viral. I love the format of your videos, they’re a pleasure to watch. Could you make a reverse seer video or a steak cooking series? Thanks
I also found environmental benefits to this diet as well. Personally I only drink coffee and water on a carnivore diet so my recycle bin hardly ever gets used. No pop cans or other beverage bottles going in. My garbage use also dropped considerably. Only thing going in there was the foam tray and cling wrap my meat is wrapped in. In my generation there was a big emphasis on reduce, reuse, recycle. They are not all equal. Reduce is the most important one environmentally and is often the least utilized. A carnivore diet is very much a "reduce" way of living and in my experience much less wasteful.
Thank you a lot for this video and I agree with it 1 million percent. The animal based diet has really changed my life and that is where I am staying for the rest of my life.
I'm so grateful to all of you for convincing me to start carnivore. I'm ngl I'd seen a few of these videos a few years ago when I was a very sick dead on vegetarian and laughed. I didn't know how sick i was. I love how life one day just laughs back at you and shoves you in the right direction.
Same!!! I’m 270 days carnivore and I g it avent been sick even when my daughter and husband both got sick and re sick for over 3 weeks. I felt phenomenal! 😊plus, I’ve felt like I was getting sick a couple of times and it never set in. I always feel fine in the morning ❤ this woe is the best!
Me too! Started for gut dysbiosis and healed my arthritis, chronic plantar fasciitis, severe anxiety, swelling, migraines, high blood pressure, gerd…and now my glasses don’t work- I suspect my vision has improved!
You are one of my favorite TH-camrs and I did recommend your channel when I hit the 30 days mark. I just love your on the point advices and way of presenting them. Without these community helping me on TH-cam I would be so alone because my country is vegan and they hate hate hate carnivores.
Great video , quick helpful info and very funny towards the end, I laughed out loud a couple of times - day 3 for me . I’ve GOT to do it this time- 1st issue was not doing the electrolytes in the AM and may need 2 a day cuz of my AM coffee habit- hoping it makes a difference
I've been doing Carnivore for about two weeks and can already attest to being much better at cooking it. I was always a decent cook but having it every day has made it so effortless. I love it.
I wanna start with Carnivore diet, but I am a bit lost about food list, what oil/lard to use and also spices, if any? and I never cooked a beef steak before only ground beef, any tips.. 😊thanks
#12: If you are a savvy shopper... Carnivore is cheaper. My weekly shopping total is around $60. I was spending more than that on work lunches throughout the week.
@@lancesparks802 I live in a "meat state" so-to-speak. And again, you have to learn how to shop. Eggs are more expensive now, but still affordable. and I buy beef a quarter at a time. I've done the math... A LOT. Currently I can live off $60 a week. Lots of sirloin with butter; pork steak with lard.
Vitamin B1 repels mosquitos. If anyone still gets bites, try dabbling apple cider vinegar on them. It might take a number of minutes, I forget how many, perhaps 20-30. Earth clinic is a good place to learn about home remedies.

So I successfully completed a fully week of carnivore and working on my second week. I’ve been having diarrhea. Asked carnivore subreddit if that was normal. I got crickets. So that was relieving that some people experience it initially. I historically have had IBS-C and it’s relieving to be going for a change.
Yep, I also perfected the steak method but years before I turned carnivore, thankfully. There are a couple of places around town that do an OK job but like you said very expensive.
Not to be gross, but when I switched from Standard American, carb heavy diet to Meat based, KETO/Carnivore, it was like Pinocchio down there. In my late 50's. I couldn't believe it! And it's stayed that way for well over three years.
Great video. We are on day 35 of carnivore. Female 5’6” 60 yo, started at 138 hanging at 130. Struggling to get to 126 and lose love handles and belly fat. Eating example, 1 egg not liking eggs much anymore., 1 piece turkey bacon (for protein only, it tastes awful) 2 pieces of pork bacon and a 6 oz ribeye. No carbs. I am so tired after I eat, I end up napping for 3 hours. Eating again within a 4to 5 hour window. More steak, burger or two and romaine lettuce only. I am not sleeping but only 6.5 hrs at night up at 3:30 am. The headaches are gone but the lethargy is stupid sick…hate it. Can’t drink anything with stevia , having to drink salt water. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
My advice is try eating more one day. It sounds like you're trying to cut, but see if 24-48 hours of intuitive eating and honestly, eating meat (especially ruminant meat) like it's your job. Just one idea, there's a lot of ways to workshop this.
Drink black coffee in the morning with a pat of butter in it. A nice rich dark roast is a great way to start the day! (Yes-coffee is plant-based, but we deserve our treats.) Try using an air fryer to cook grass-fed ground beef burgers with some sea salt and a pat of grass-fed butter on top of each burger. Moist and delicious! I put sour cream on top of my burgers for extra fat and flavor. Drink ice water with a few slices of lemon throughout the day. And start exercising with short 20-minute walks each day. The exercise may also help you sleep better at night. Give it a week-see if the lethargy passes.
I stopped getting sick!!! My littlest is in daycare and brings stuff home all the time. I used to get a dose of whatever he brought home. Since starting carnivore I completely stopped getting sick. Not a joke.
On the subject of constipation, check out this English guy called Kent carnivore. He developed ulcerative colitis and uses a bag, he can see fruit and veg coming out the same way he ate them and the beef is liquified. He has gotten his life back because of red meat.
You asked me to share about whether I got sick: So my little just caught a cold that came on VERY rapidly. One day he had a mild cough (thought it was teething as that had been happening for a couple weeks already). He was up all night coughing, felt warm (no fever), and was screaming the entire next morning. Took him to urgent care on advice of our pediatrician and he had a viral ear infection from it. We'd seen grandma/grandpa/uncle the day before, and they started showing symptoms 2 days later. Husband was knocked out and in bed for 5 hours the day after toddler went to UC. I NEVER caught it. Which is good, cause it meant I could better care for them, but my immune system must just be a boss on carnivore. I'm not even the most strict (still do spices and I try a new fruit/veg every few days to see how I react) 🙌 Yay for carnivore!
I love all the research and science you put into your videos. I see a ton of videos where people just follow the information they're given or anecdotes etc. Without actually fact checking any of it. I think it is so important to know what the research supports. I don't follow a fully animal based diet. I am currently 7.5 months pregnant so I go with the food that I crave or that makes me feel good and that's currently a ton of fruit and veggies and some sort of meat most days. I may try this diet some day though! It is very interesting.
The reality is that there's a lot of studies to prove anything. There's that saying, "figures lie, and liars figure." I think with animal-based, or really any diet, it's all about trying it, giving it enough time and discipline, and then seeing how you feel. I don't think everyone needs to eat this way, but for people that need help, this diet/lifestyle could be a game changer.
@homesteadingwithPJ totally! I tried the plant based thing and I felt amazing. I was able to overcome infertility issues but I couldn't keep it up while pregnant. This time I ate mostly meat. Overcame infertility again and then couldn't keep it up while pregnant again xD the body is weird.
@@ShepherdsCreekI totally get it. I've had 5 babies, ages 1-11, and meat was not my thing at all. However, I'm not pregnant right now, so we recently put our entire family keto and ended up carnivore. My kids eat some keto, but mostly carnivore. It was an, adjustment, but they don't mind. I recommend Maria Emmerich's Sugar Free Kids book for families! Good luck with your pregnancy and congratulations!
@hollybishop484 thank you! I'll definitely look into that one. It's so interesting what works for different people. I think it really goes to show that there isn't any one right path for everyone. You can't really make a lot of blanket statements when it comes to nutrition. Just have to figure out what works for yourself a lot of the time. I'm taking an Anatomy and Physiology course in college right now and they even said that the research is pretty inconsistent in a lot of ways when it comes to nutrition.
When I started carnivore as far as I knew the research didn't support it. But I had been suffering for many years and had literally tried everything else, so I was going to try it whether the research supported it or not. It turned out to be the answer for me.
Yes! Everything you said. It's not expensive because I eat so much less. I'm close to one meal per day. Beef and other meats are very filling and keep you full all day. Going to the bathroom less because there is not so much junk that needs to come out. Not feeling tired because I don't have all of those carbs and sugars in my body. It feels like my body is actually running efficiently for the first time. I don't have the ups and downs of bloating and tiredness. I just feel energetic all day long. Sleeping is pretty decent but, I think I will try your suggestion for the electrolytes. I'm just drinking water and eating meat at this point. I've noticed that my body has less fat and more muscle..... Without me changing too much. Also, yes, I do buy less toilet paper now!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
i had been carnivore for just over a week last time my family all got sick, but i didnt, i got slightly congested but it didnt even bother me, while my step mom was bed ridden and my father and brother could hardly do anything i felt better then i had in years despite technically being sick
This is amazing! I'm glad more people are sharing their experiences around sickness. I think there's really something there, and it's been such a relief to not have to deal with sickness when it used to be such a routine part of life. Congrats on a big win! Nothing is as powerful as personal results!
Cod liver oil really helped me with upper respiratory problems, carnivore pushed it over the cliff and I have had very few allergic reactions. Im still Allergic to dust.
I started carnivore (easing into it) about 3 weeks ago. Find that I’m not hungry and very little cravings. I don’t know why I had some vegetables today… 🤦♀️ straight to the bathroom 😂😂
Yes, Me too...thinks just get on my nerves like it use to. Also, am more aware of people whom I need/needed to move away from as their drama and rants where unacceptable any more even in the work place...
My wife and kids have been sick 3 times in the last 5 months, normally I would have been too. But after carnivore I haven't been sick in months. I think it's got something to do with the increased healthy cholesterol and more vitamin C making it through the GLUT4 transporter since it's no longer competing against so much glucose.
besides for reversing minor things like t2d, hbp, obesity, arthritis, anxiety 🤣🤣I can't burn in the sun anymore and I used 2 burn VERY easily, better gum health with me barely even brushing, no more cravings of any kind, rarely get sick, and recover so much faster if I do, so much more energy, sex drive, building muscle without working out @ 54 plenty of more stuff as well! Thanks for the video!
I would say fasting longer will stop you getting sick even if you have a normal diet. Since i started inteemittant fasting which i did 16 8 alot i rarly got sick. If you eat high processed food you simply need more time to recover, extra time to balance your sugars and insulin. As alot of people doiing carnivore usually turn to 1 or 2 meals a day they are most likley doing extra fasting too, but as you wont be spiking your blood sugars carnivore combined with fasting will be better.
Just came across your channel and loving it! I’m on my 4th day on my carnivore-ish diet. I heard from another channel where body odor also goes down. Is this true?
went full strict carnivore for ~14 months back in 2019, it did fix all my pain and digestive issues, but actually greatly diminished my mental health and energy levels, i seem to need some carbs because when i reintroduced them i immediately felt better both mentally and physically, im now at around 80% animal based seems to be where i feel best, carnivore can be a great reset, but to say humans don't have any evolutionary adaptations toward plant foods/carbs........... its hard to believe
I agree that carbs and plants play a part in our diet. I mean, why wouldn't they? I think the US food system is failing its citizens, and we're feeling the effects of it, therefore carnivore services as an elimination diet. But yeah, if you can tolerate some carbs and plants, that's great!
It's time that we wrap our heads around the idea that we all have different dietary needs. I absolutely do NOT tolerate carbs. My mental illness symptoms (diagnosed bipolar II in 2002, lots of depression and anxiety among other things) completely go away when I'm carnivore and start to come back when I reintroduce even low carb vegetables.
@@homesteadingwithPJ It's not an elimination diet for me. It's my permanent way of eating. It's the only way I feel healthy, both physically and mentally. I've been carnivore 2 1/2 years and every time I try and reintroduce plants I get a return of all of my symptoms. If I needed a reset you would think it would have happened in 2 1/2 years and it has not. Carnivore seems to be what my body needs.
I totally agree, went full carnivore, brain power just wasn't top tier, and was just constant mid-level energy. threw in some carbs and back to peak, slept better too. I'm gradually upping meat intake but every couple of days or so, I add some carbs in here or there, fruit or rice mainly. I have upped my gym frequency too and always try to eat some protein before any carbs to limit blood sugar spikes so I can get back to base without concern and get the befits of carbs without much of the rollercoaster vibes.
I watch a lot of YT videos and I have only ever subscribed to two. Until yours. I was considering trying carnivore and the couple of videos I watched of yours convinced me. Tomorrow, June1st is my start date and I am committing to 100days🎉
@@homesteadingwithPJ ahhh… so far, feel better but no weight loss. Aside from the initial water weight loss from cutting carbs (5#) Long way to go but I am committed to the 100 days. Your list of tips really has been helpful getting through the transition period! Thanks for that. 😊
Another check-in: 72 days completed. Weight loss is happening, at a very slow pace. 10 lbs / 4.5kg so far. Hot flashes are less frequent and shorter duration. Poop is weird. Mood is better, sleep is not perfect but better. Other things improved as well. Still having some dairy and decaf coffee, but otherwise meet and eggs. Onward to day 💯
Hi❤ this was the coolest and most honest video I've heard in a long time and I believe that everything you say is true who cares what your friends think if they're making fun of you they're not your friends to be honest I was never really a big fan of meat because it was never cooked properly and I just couldn't chew it and I didn't really like it but now that I'm discovering new cuts of meat and how to cook them low and slow and to just lightly seasoned them I am enjoying it very much thank you for your input I'm glad you're sex life is better your wife is absolutely beautiful pork pork pork pork😅
I have a salt blend I make, which is mostly redmonds real salt, and some cracked black pepper and garlic powder. I cook it at 165 on my smoker until it hits 125 internal temp, then I sear it for 1-2 minutes on each nice. Perfect medium rare.
I'm a truck driver and I have been struggling with diet and weight. In a pinch may it seem reasonable to get a fast food Burger but toss the bun? I mean I guess I could cook a burger at home but I hate to take a cold beef patty out of a lunch box to eat it I prefer to eat beef that's been recently cooked.
I always thank truckers because they keep society humming along, so thank you! Do you have a truck that will accommodate using a small air fryer? If so, putting some pre-made beef patties in there with a pat of butter and sea salt will make a moist, delicious meal. Otherwise, hit the fast food burger joints and just ask for two or three cooked patties with mustard on the side. It’s usually cheaper to just buy the patties rather than the entire burger. Drive safely! 🥓🥩👍
In a pinch, beef patties from a fast food joint isn't the end of the world. Supplement that with some hard boiled eggs, or some grass-fed butter, and that's a good lunch/dinner on the road!
I have friends with Crohn's and they cannot eat fiber or vegetables. No judgement from others. Not saying lie but I have sibo and had to eliminate many vegetables. Now on Carnivore I realise the freedom from gas, bloating & pain. Everyone has to decide what is best for their body.
Great channel....l started Yesterday...Oct. 22nd 2024 after listening to a Dr. Anthony Chaffe video on how to start. He said eat meat, salt and water. It seems impossible...but pain is worse. I am taking alot of Tylenol for 5 herniated discs. Anyone who prays...prayers are much appreciated. 🙏 God Bless. ✝️👑
I have a client who's started this diet. She's 65ish. I'm curious about it, because she's having major gut issues. Painful for her. It's been about 2 months for her. These issues started only recently since she changed her diet. I'm not against it. I just don't like meat enough to only eat meat. 😂❤ Bison is one of my absolute favs though. I love it. So delicious. I do need to eat a good amount of protein, but I can't restrict my diet. I also never get sick lol I actually have never got covid. Or got a cold in like...6 years I do not eat over processed white carbs or high sugar content foods. Great info thank you for the insightful content❤😊 Maybe I will have to up my protein a bit more❤
Yes, it sounds like you have a diet that works for you, that's great! I'm curious about your client. Do you mean her gut issues started after she stepped into the carnivore diet? There can be an adjustment period, but maybe there's some troubleshooting that needs to happen there? I'm a firm believer in doing what works for you, I do hope she's doing alright!
My husband normally gets at least 2 terrible sinus infections a year- welllll never a sniffle in more than 5mths carnivore… and bonus for me, he doesn’t snore anymore!!
Allow me to ask a couple of question about the Carnivore diet : I am now over 100 days into a Strick Carnivore diet (I only eat meat and eggs. Nothing else 400-500 g of cocked meat plus 7-8 eggs a day. Divided in 2 meals) I am now 34 years old, 181cms tall, 180lbs(+-81,5kg) at +-20%BF. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week.(lift weigths to help sustain or increase muscle mass and assist fat loss) I started the Carnivore diet to improve my body composition. I was a HEALHTY guy with NO chronic illnesses or health problems. I lost about 15 lbs in the first 6 weeks (Mostly water) but since then I haven't been able to change my body composition. I have now gone more than 6 weeks without registering any body changes (weight loss, decrease in BF% or measurements) I still need to lose at least another 15lbs of fat to reach my goal of being below 15%BF. However, I don't see how the Carnivora Diet will facilitate this process. I have not experienced most of the benefits common to Carnivores (Improved sleep, more energy/disposition, etc.) nor can I change my body composition. So I would like to ask more experienced Carnivores: 1- How long should I extend my experience with the Carnviroa diet to be able to lose the excess bodyfat I still have?(at least 15lbs of fat) 2- What is the minimum time you should maintain a Carnivora diet when it is not working for you? Thank you for your attention
I would try doing beef only for a month or two. I'm very lean to begin with, and eggs, bacon, dairy, pork, etc all make it easier to maintain my weight. Every time I try eating only beef I end up dropping weight too fast no matter how much I try to eat or add additional fat to my intake.
Calories still matter on a carnivore diet, so consider a 500 daily calorie deficit. I don't know if I have a good answer for your second question. I think 60-90 days is a good time period for most diets.
I personally fast a lot, I fast intermittently, so I'll eat one meal a day or one meal every other day. I also do one 7-day fast a month. I lose about 5kg every time I do that. The intermittent fasting doesn't help with the weight loss much, but due to a brain injury, I'm limited in my movements and energy burning potential. I'm coming to the end of my 7-day fast, but I am planning on extending it out to 14 or 21 days to get me to my goal weight of 90kg. So I can re-evaluate and see if I need to lose more. Am currently at 99kg. I was 146.5kg in September last year.
I would say to remove the eggs. When I add eggs, it stalls my weight loss, I am a woman in my 30s with PCOS though, but I have read enough comments on carnivore videos to see it as a trending issue and when I get off eggs my weight loss continues nicely.
What about something like kefir on a carnivore diet? My grains are getting up to a good size and although milk kefir does contain some carbs, is the general aim of carnivore to mostly be in ketosis? Personally, I stopped getting sick once I left the city and moved off grid, deep in to the bush.
So first off the important thing is to do what works for you, if you try kefir and it settles alright with your system and you don't notice any downsides, then it sounds like it's probably fine for you. I wouldn't worry about the carbs thing, I drink unpasteurized whole milk almost everyday and that has carbs. I made another video talking about ketosis within the carnivore diet. I think that ketosis bit starts about 5:30 minutes in. Here's the link so you can check it out. th-cam.com/video/XEw1qyek47I/w-d-xo.html I hope that helps!

I’m just over 2 weeks on a strict Carnivore diet,…
After my Steak tonight, I stumbled on one of my hidden Organic dark chocolate bars and caved 🙁 I only had 2 squares, and OMG, the belly bloat is real,… I’m also still in belly ache mode well over an hour later,… So not worth it 😫

Fascinating account. Thanks for sharing

I had a traumatic childhood resulting in chronic anxiety as an adult. Only six weeks on carnivore and I have ZERO anxiety. I don’t understand. I have to rethink my whole story now. How has meat eliminated the impact of my childhood?!
Wow, thanks for sharing. Glad to hear that meat has helped someone else!
Right!? I was heavily abused as a child and somehow carnivore has helped me finally move past it. How?

#12: If you are a savvy shopper... Carnivore is cheaper. My weekly shopping total is around $60. I was spending more than that on work lunches throughout the week.
$60 a week? Meat is so expensive and I spend well over that for the meat that I eat

Add more fat to your diet.
Take out the eggs completely then. My weight loss has stalled since I added eggs in. Remove turkey bacon. Have ground beef.
Drink black coffee in the morning with a pat of butter in it. A nice rich dark roast is a great way to start the day! (Yes-coffee is plant-based, but we deserve our treats.)
Try using an air fryer to cook grass-fed ground beef burgers with some sea salt and a pat of grass-fed butter on top of each burger.

You asked me to share about whether I got sick:
So my little just caught a cold that came on VERY rapidly.
There's that saying, "figures lie, and liars figure."
I think with animal-based, or really any diet, it's all about trying it, giving it enough time and discipline, and then seeing how you feel.

Look at that green candle at close!!!! Nice!!!🎉❤🎉
great video thank you
Please share your cooking techniques
Stay tuned to the channel. I'll get a video on this soon.
Same here! Over 1 year 🎉🎉 I'm never going back! Exact scenario with my sleep habits since becoming carnivore!
I’ve also mastered the reverse sear. Yes a good ribeye makes me so happy and satisfied. It’s weird but true! I eat ribeye every day
I started carnivore (easing into it) about 3 weeks ago. Find that I’m not hungry and very little cravings. I don’t know why I had some vegetables today… 🤦♀️ straight to the bathroom 😂😂
I love you channel ❤
Yes, Me too...thinks just get on my nerves like it use to.
Also, am more aware of people whom I need/needed to move away from as their drama and rants where unacceptable any more even in the work place...
This is awesome!
“No restaurants make better steak than me”. Hit the nail again😊
besides for reversing minor things like t2d, hbp, obesity, arthritis, anxiety 🤣🤣I can't burn in the sun anymore and I used 2 burn VERY easily, better gum health with me barely even brushing, no more cravings of any kind, rarely get sick, and recover so much faster if I do, so much more energy, sex drive, building muscle without working out @ 54 plenty of more stuff as well!
Agreed. When I was a hard core 20:4 intermittent faster, I rarely got sick.
Just came across your channel and loving it! I’m on my 4th day on my carnivore-ish diet.
I heard from another channel where body odor also goes down. Is this true?
What about lamb, goat meat and Pork? Are they ok too?
Of course! We eat lamb and pork all the time, and goat when we can get it!
went full strict carnivore for ~14 months back in 2019, it did fix all my pain and digestive issues, but actually greatly diminished my mental health and energy levels, i seem to need some carbs because when i reintroduced them i immediately felt better both mentally and physically, im now at around 80% animal based seems to be where i feel best, carnivore can be a great reset, but to say humans don't have any evolutionary adaptations toward plant foods/carbs........... its hard to believe
I agree that carbs and plants play a part in our diet. I mean, why wouldn't they? I think the US food system is failing its citizens, and we're feeling the effects of it, therefore carnivore services as an elimination diet. But yeah, if you can tolerate some carbs and plants, that's great!
Could be oxalate dumping which happens in cycles from what I understand.
You are so right - excellent video!
LMAO. While watching your video the advertisement that TH-cam popped up was for a Nestle Crunch bar
Classic Nestle, trying to win us all over to processed sugar garbage!
I watch a lot of YT videos and I have only ever subscribed to two. Until yours. I was considering trying carnivore and the couple of videos I watched of yours convinced me. Tomorrow, June1st is my start date and I am committing to 100days🎉
You can do it! Let us know how it goes!
@@homesteadingwithPJ ahhh… so far, feel better but no weight loss. Aside from the initial water weight loss from cutting carbs (5#)
Long way to go but I am committed to the 100 days.
Damn loosing friends is big, eating only meat and now quitting drinking. Who knew you could lose friends and family over that😅
Yes! Luv luv
13 days carnivore. Have not felt this good mentally, emotionally, and physically for years and years!
so cool! so is this a sustained long term lifestyle change?
How do you cook your steak? What are the ingredients you use for your steak?
I have a salt blend I make, which is mostly redmonds real salt, and some cracked black pepper and garlic powder.
I cook it at 165 on my smoker until it hits 125 internal temp, then I sear it for 1-2 minutes on each nice. Perfect medium rare.
Another great video!
Thanks!
Apparently Macdonalds sell the meat patties only if you want them.
@@peat11 I've ordered just the patties from McD's, Culver's, Burger King, and Wendy's.
Also carnivore make shopping for groceries way simpler.
So true!
Question are we talking actually eating butter or using it cooking?
BOTH! 😂
About to hit day 30!
Nice! For me, that's about when I decided I would stick to this diet indefinitely.
I have a client who's started this diet. She's 65ish.
I'm curious about it, because she's having major gut issues. Painful for her.
It's been about 2 months for her. These issues started only recently since she changed her diet.
I'm not against it. I just don't like meat enough to only eat meat. 😂❤
Bison is one of my absolute favs though. I love it. So delicious.
I do need to eat a good amount of protein, but I can't restrict my diet. I also never get sick lol
I actually have never got covid. Or got a cold in like...6 years
I do not eat over processed white carbs or high sugar content foods.
Great info thank you for the insightful content❤😊
Maybe I will have to up my protein a bit more❤
Yes, it sounds like you have a diet that works for you, that's great!
All true!
Allow me to ask a couple of question about the Carnivore diet :
I am now over 100 days into a Strick Carnivore diet (I only eat meat and eggs. Nothing else 400-500 g of cocked meat plus 7-8 eggs a day. Divided in 2 meals) I am now 34 years old, 181cms tall, 180lbs(+-81,5kg) at +-20%BF. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week.(lift weigths to help sustain or increase muscle mass and assist fat loss)
I started the Carnivore diet to improve my body composition. I was a HEALHTY guy with NO chronic illnesses or health problems.
I lost about 15 lbs in the first 6 weeks (Mostly water) but since then I haven't been able to change my body composition. I have now gone more than 6 weeks without registering any body changes (weight loss, decrease in BF% or measurements)
I still need to lose at least another 15lbs of fat to reach my goal of being below 15%BF. However, I don't see how the Carnivora Diet will facilitate this process. I have not experienced most of the benefits common to Carnivores (Improved sleep, more energy/disposition, etc.) nor can I change my body composition.
So I would like to ask more experienced Carnivores:
1- How long should I extend my experience with the Carnviroa diet to be able to lose the excess bodyfat I still have?(at least 15lbs of fat)
2- What is the minimum time you should maintain a Carnivora diet when it is not working for you?
Thank you for your attention
I would try doing beef only for a month or two. I'm very lean to begin with, and eggs, bacon, dairy, pork, etc all make it easier to maintain my weight. Every time I try eating only beef I end up dropping weight too fast no matter how much I try to eat or add additional fat to my intake.
Calories still matter on a carnivore diet, so consider a 500 daily calorie deficit.
I don't know if I have a good answer for your second question. I think 60-90 days is a good time period for most diets.
This may seem counterintuitive, but have you tried adding even more animal fat to your meals? Beef tallow is a good, cheap source.
Oh my gosh. I haven’t been sick in over a year. I feel something coming on, but I wake up just fine.probably 4 or 5 times in a year!
Can you share if your kids are carnivore and what that looks like?
A few people have asked for that. I'll get working on a video for it! Thanks for the suggestion.

I hope that helps!

Ok cheers 👍
Im currently on medication for adhd. Any signs that carnivore diet would help ?
