My favorite silhouette in a long time. Got 6 pairs heavily in rotation, 4 of which are ALDs. Retail is only $130 on the ALD pairs and around $100-$110 on the GRs. Incredible value, and they break in incredibly well. They definitely fit a bit big, I agree. I size down a half size. Can't wait for the 650s as well, pre-ordered those from ALD.
As far as the sneaker market diversifying its significant, but as an individual sneaker, north worth it. There are similar sneakers you can get for cheaper. I have premium leather Tennis Reebok Classics with the aged look for $50 clearance. If you look, they're there If you want the look, there are other options. If you want the hype, then these are it.

I have slightly wide feet and got a pair of the grey/white 550 x ALD 1/2 size down. They fit pretty good, better than a pair of TTS J1s. I wore them to work a few times and had no issues. With the J1s, I'd start getting a pinching pain in the bunion area by the end of my shift. I can still feel the heel slip a little but can be remedied by tying the laces a bit tighter.
I also wear a US9.5, and had to return the 9.5 for a US9 in the 550. The 9.5 is way too long, and the 9 is very very snug. I had to remove the insole and replace it with a thinner insole, which fits heaps better after that. It's a shame as the 550 insole is very cushiony with great arch support.
@@claw247 These don't fit like any other NB's I own, but I would say they fit closer to a 99x made is USA model than a standard 574 or 997, which for me is a half size down from my normal Nike Air Max 1 size. I usually go a half size down on almost all made in america NB models (990s, 992s, 993s, etc) just not the 997s , and usually go with my TTS with Made in England models (1500s, 991s).
I love the look of these and I own several pairs but they are not that comfortable especially on the first few wears. I went true to size but the sneaker is too tight in the toe box and too loose in the back slipping on my heels.
Im mad saw these in a footaction a few months back in every retro colorway. Even took a pic and said damn i might come back and get them. Now its too late lol
@@edgarcardenas6823 these are really comfortable, but its mainly the insoles that do the job (the insoles are a really cool combo of ortholite and poly, so you get a really good balance of both main types). This is one of the most versatile shoes in my entire collection, and is prob in my top 3 for shoe of the year.
I have a pair in hand and they’re alright. Not worth the hype in my opinion and not a pair i would pay resell for. And the quality of the box is trash tbh
