As a puller myself, some of them could have done waaay better but it was still awesome to watch them even get the chance to do this so I'm not judging

My favorite has to be the early 80 dodge. I grew up in wv and was lucky to watch truck pulls often.

Set the hitch height at 24" where it's supposed to be. It's pretty easy to pull a sled down the track with no Pan weight.

Doesn't seem to be any hitch height rules. Most of the pan weight is going to the rear wheels instead of the pan. Set it at 24" and let's see.

Generally how heavy are these sleds? Ive got next to no knowledge on this
I don't know about exact weights but they can add or remove weight as needed and adjust how quickly over distance the weight moves forward to increase resistance on the drag pan.
On average between 50 and 70,000lbs
This was a horribble conbination of a soft track that the sled scrapes as it goes and tires that move alot of material. That created a mound of dirt if front of the sled
The first dodge would do way better if he had a lower connection point
I was thinking big counter weights in front to keep front end down. Nothing fancy. Maybe a 50 gal drum with concrete in it

@@Mudstamp i have 2005 F350 6.0 Turbo Deisel with Fram cold air intake and shocks and struts original barely used truck when bought, these new american trucks ass always down when. Pulling.
The 6.0 huh, you have it studded and deleted? You should be able to pull one of these mega trucks around on the gooseneck.
@@Mudstamp No Tune just performance exhaust system front back and pulls very good as it say 5 tonn truck i have also a 2012 F250 bought brand new from ford upgraded suspension from Ford gooseneck or not either way it has a fucking boner. Like the load to heavy like wtf.
