@@TechWorldDeb Do you know how to change the root partition bigger. I tried in gperted but there button is locked to change it. Thanks for all answers. Greets
@@irekmaster187 to grow the root partition you need some empty unallocated space left in your hard drive. Then using gparted you can grow the partition. If you don't have free space first resize (shrink) a partition that partially empty and separate some free space. Watch my "gparted live" video.
why not letting do the install the partition , more ease
when i make a partition with kde partition manager it ask me if i want it root or everybody accessible?

You need two partition
1. Ext4 type for root
2. Fat32 type for efi boot
mx tools are really useful... debian 12 bas is very stable... good one mx23

ive downloaded 4 times and i cannot get it to boot on the usb! .....went back to 21.3
Why 4 times ? One time is enough. Use balena etcher for to make perfect bootable USB.
the ram usage is so high. mint xfce only uses 498 MB of ram in idle
OS takes more RAM in Live boot than boot after installation . MX Linux takes less than 1.5 GB RAM after installation. MX Fluxbox is available if you want less RAM consumption (300 MB)
Brother why u r using 600mb only for boot esp drive
Because it is more than enough for an ESP Boot partition
use ventoy for iso insted rufus or balena etcher

Can MX Linux 23 run Snap?
What you want to use snap ? It has bad reputation. Addition to huge collection of .Deb packages You can install flatpak apps from MX package installer.
@@TechWorldDeb I do not care about snap's bad reputation. I have had good experience using snap. Some apps are working much better in snap format than any other. Sure I prefer distro packages first, than snap and flatpak, but one or two apps I use are in snap format.

$ sudo apt install snapd
Then install your app
$ sudo snap install appname
I run mx linux 23 wildflower & made a usb of this libretto & can confirm its shit. may even be a hack cuz it DONT boot.
Use balena etcher to make bootable usb...
