Please help! After installation I restarted the laptop but then its not installed and I have to restart installation. Do you know what is happening?
You might now created a boot partition.
Need both a swap partition AND a swap file?
Not sure. I think no. Swap partition is just fancy advanced place to put your swap file. I think it can even be harmful to most SSD - because it will be basically a place with extra data written and erased again and again. But I did it anyway because this is what the official manual say if I want to have hibernation support...
OK :)
Whats the benefit of having more than 10 gigs on root space?
Awesome but mx looks old
just rice it
3:15 I left the MBR option checked, is it possible now to install grub into ESP without having to reinstall mx linux?
I had to change the bios settings (vostro laptop) to legacy mode, it can't boot in uefi mode
sudo update-grub
also mint22 livecd has "boot fix", other modern ones might have it as well. otherwise grub-customizer gui.
Somebody knows, if the beta2 is upgradable to ultimate version 23 without reinstalling?
Yes
