Chainsaw attachment for small diameter lengths

  • I came up with this after seeing a few other ideas to convert the chainsaw.
    It works really well, it's far safer that the usual method of one sawing and one holding or the saw horse method.
    Might looking into making a free standing design to sell at some stage.

    In your description it says that you might make a free standing model to sell one day. Have you made any to sell? I like the simplicity of your design.

    Great simple trigger mechanism, no cables pulleys etc, good thinking.

    I would like to build copy your design. Can you tell what material you are using for the bending level next to the bar? Spring steel or simple mild steel? Can you also tell me the dimensions of the level?

      It's a old bandsaw blade cut to length and grid off the teeth, most engineering workshops will have a old one to get rid of I'm sure.
