Notice how when the “fearful rider” was nervous, the horse was more nervous than when she was doing the other types of riders. Just goes to show that if you're calm, your horse is calm.
The beginner: riding a new horse The young rider: riding a horse you’re besties with The fearful rider: riding after you were thrown off experienced rider: riding with confidence
Years ago I had just gotten my horse and my cousin got on him and she immediately pulled back a lot on the reins cause she didn't want him to move he almost reared but then he almost sit down, I was like oh crap! Lol she didn't know what she did wrong needless to say she wanted off immediately! 😂
Very well trained horse. A properly trained horse will see their person/rider as the lead horse. Once this is achieved, the horse will be willing to learn whatever you have to teach. They will be loyal and dependable. People who get what they want through inflicting pain will never be able to truly achieve this. They will not want to learn anything you have to teach, and they have to constantly inflict pain to get what they want from the horse. There will be no loyalty or respect. They'll be very likely to take off and run away from their abuser or worse. You can learn a lot about a person by watching their horse. This young lady clearly knows a thing or two about horses. She's bonded with him. She gives him the attention he deserves. She puts the effort into training him properly. He's a very nice-looking horse, healthy. A well developed physique showing this horse gets a good amount or exercise. The very limited body language that can be seen shows he a happy and fulfilled horse.
I swear young riders are so unnecessarily brave, I used to ride with this girl who’s in 3rd grade and is absolutely fearless, she’s literally 8/9 years old(I ride in the lesson before her now)
The fearful young beginner to the experienced rider perfection 👌🏽 I’m taking riding lessons rn but I’ve never been scared of horses so ig I’m the young beginner for now 😅
This isn't hate just a reminder that proper mounting you put both feet in the stirrups before sitting down. It's just kinder to your horses back! Video was great!🫶🏻
As someone that had been riding english for about two years, watching these videos make me feel like i’ve barely gotten anywhere(not being rude to the video). I have a disease called Charcot-Marie-Tooth(CMT) which affects my nerves and muscles, you can look it up if you want to know more about it. So I have trouble getting off the horse sometimes and couldn’t ride for a long time. One time I rode too long I couldn’t get off the horse, I could barely walk or even stand. So my trainer knew but she never let me try to do more. Like I get it but it had been over a year before she even let me try to canter. I eventually realized that I wanted to try western because it was dream. So she only had one western saddle and she let me just do basic stuff because she didn’t know much. So I left that barn and trying to find a new place I can ride western soon
I'm teaching someone right now who is in her 60s, used to ride all the time, and now has multiple issues to where falling off could be very bad. My most beginner safe horse, strangely enough. Is my greenest. They actually make a perfect pair. The pony is a haflinger cross and is the STEADIEST little barrel I've ever met. She is 11.2hh of not going anywhere. The pony has been trained to the point of walking around without being lead, and the rider is on a lead rope for now. It's a match made in heaven. We are working on both their strengths so that the rider can maybe do a trot. I haven't trotted the pony (intentionally) before because I'm too heavy. I can't even ride her right now. But the new rider is 80lbs less than me. Pony is also obese. So it's super slow, and super rewarding to work with them both. We always keep pony and rider in mind, lots of treats, and always make sure everything is comfortable for both. Pony has been cleared by vet to carry 200lbs. Saddle has been confirmed to fit as well as any that I can get for not custom. Pony has happily carried my 200lbs before with zero sign of issues. So 140lbs is nothing for her. Except for the fact that the pony is fat and green (but she is like 6 years old) she could carry 140lbs ALL day.
I am ALL FOUR
….depending on the horse
….and how I feel that day on said horse!!!😂
Same!❤❤

Always the young rider you can see me giddy upping in the paddock up to the gate
Ok, but always take the stirrup on the other side before sitting down. Spares the horse's back.
