This was the very match that turned me, as an Australian teenager, into a life-long Derby County supporter. First time I have rewatched this match in 54 years.
I am an Italian derby fan since 1975, 48 years and counting. I love the Rams and miss the old baseball ground and baseball Hotel. Pride Park is nice but I will always love the baseball ground ❤❤❤
Great game eh mate, what a team we beat all them so called Big teams that season, and I was there to see most of em,what great memories eh mate, always watching em on TH-cam.
Amazing when you consider Derby was only a town at the time. First time I have seen the BBG without any advertising. Did not start going until about 1973 but certainly a great time to be a Rams fan. Wonder what Klopp would have thought of this result!
A Scottish friend told me I had to follow a soccer team. Being Australian I had no idea. So I watched this game not knowing who to barrack for. So I decided that whoever scored first that would be my team. Still love the Rams.
If Clough had gone to Manchester United I wonder how he would have dealt with George Best especially with the off the field scandals that were starting to blow up at the time ie Best regularly staying away from Old Trafford

Two days after my 4th birthday and first time I have seen this footage tbh. Great memories.
I was there at the BBG for that one ... Great days! What a team Derby had back then.
my first 2 matches were southampton 3-0 and then spurs 5-0 but i missed this one..derby were flying then, frannie lee did us though 1-0 to city

Those were the days
Looked decent back then Derby .
If Clough and Tylor had stayed at Derby, Liverpool's trophy cabinet would have half the trophies in it today.
Forests trophy cabinet would be a pedal bin 😂⚽️🐏UP THE RAMS
Loved watching Derby County and what a team with a young John McGovern. Made more memorable by Hugh Johns? commentating.

Definitely made the right choice. Surprised your mate did not twist your arm into supporting Celtic or Rangers though!
Always great to see the Scousers getting a good hammering. Derby took them apart.
Yes great to see. Then along came Forest another team who the scousers couldn't beat ha ha.
I was a schoolboy at Derby School at that time...saw a number of games at the Baseball Ground.
What quality!!!! In my mind, this is the 70’s in England
What a team!
I was there in the Pop side.
Relatively decent looking pitch for the BG in November.
Yes hardly a grain of sand in sight or having to paint the penalty spot in. Lol.
I was trying to work out who "Tom Smith" was. Then it dawned on me Hugh Johns was referring to the much more well named `Tommy` Smith.
When we was Fab.
Fucking brilliant

Who would have thought then, in the end of 1969 that Liverpool F.C. would go to Conker domestic and european football over 20 years!.

I think you mean "conquer".
@@johnmackenzie5375 Thanks I'm Dyslexic
Back when Britain was still great.
Definitely no need for overpaid foreigners back in those days and could all understand each other unless you were from north of the border. Lol.
Was it? Just before the 70s.
Still didn't win anything internationally and u could understand Geordies?
Worst Liverpool performance I've ever seen.
