Looks really cool, although a big thing I like from AO is that it's map is so well made that at a glance it doesn't even seem like roblox, whereas in yggdrasil it does seem very roblox-y. Still not having people flying through the air all over the place in combat seems like it would make for a refreshing change, and I've always wanted a roblox game that has an adventurers guild like mechanic.

prolly the biggest cap I've heard from someone this year. You look at any place in AO and you know its roblox stop lying to yourself bro. The game is made as if it was made on roblox in 2015 which if you didnt know looks exactly how anyone thinks roblox would look. Thats the biggest reach you could have made bro 😭

The Adventurer's Guild system in this game is strikingly similar to that one of Genshin Impacts, except for that fact in Genshin you can't choose commissions it is randomly assigned.
not rly cus commisions on genshin impact are just daily quests just like every mmorpg game
@@neferpitousama9472 He doesn't give much context and details on the commission system, I would say maybe its more of a daily thing but maybe it refreshes sometimes. I'd expect there to be some kind of cooldown as to slow down the progression and make the story feel more appealing since you'd probably feel bored after a few hundred commissions.
Strikingly similar to the one in Overlord, Since it's an Overlord game.. Yggdrasil was the game Momonga played before he was transfered over to the other world.
Fairy tail games back in the day used to use this system, it can be good if used right or just a bore to run back and forth to pick up missions
the light at night seems pretty weird it need some work and the UI too but overall the game looks sick

It's just deepwoken's combat system, but that's not necessarily a bad thing
I hate when people compare the average RPG combat system to a specific game. It doesn't have any defining features, it's a simple RPG with a simple combat system@@TheReal_KitCat
And when I say simple I don't necessarily mean it's like everything else(even though it is), I moreso mean it does not expand on any standard mechanics. But Deepwoken did NOT invent parrying and it's parry concept is like, barebones basic.@@TheReal_KitCat

If it has a necromancy system i hope they actually make it fair( i love the concept of necromancer but rogue gave me ptsd bro)
ive had concepts for it like:
you can only spawn in 2 npcs and they attack simultanousely with you and work as shields, but to spawn a skeleton youd need immense ammount of mana( basically while they are active the damage you take is redirected towards the npcs while you can do 2x dmg with both of them spawned, but if you just throw them out you can easily get punished
of course you can customize the npcs to be either tanker/more damaging allowing you to go up to 3x dmg but be around 20% of your hp or vice versa
your analogy at the beginning was really good with dw and Arcane compared to this game was amazing. very good indeed

Animations / attack charge ups need to be fleshed out a bit cause it seems kinda janky for trying to parry / dodge, but it looks good.

It looks really fun but it also seems like you'll need a decent internet connection for all the perfect blocking and quick attacks. Not my case sadly 😞

Nah if this is based on Overlord imagine a necromancer ganking you its an instant 1v11 with your summoned undeads 💀
I actually have a Necromancy concept. Basically the way you even raise dead is via Souls. And you can only obtain Souls via player kills or NPCs that are at minimum your level. But in return, player undead are raised with whatever gear they had when they died and NPC undead will rise as skeletons which don't die unless burned. Basically you'll have to actually be good to use Necromancy but it'd be worth it.

@@civil736That's quite unbalanced. You can just ask a friend whos maxed out lvls, with higest rarity of gear to give you a free summon to breeze through the whole start. Also, the main thing about necromancy is hordes of stupid npcs, that mechanic will make the start stupidly op while absolutely unplayable at endgame
I see your point. I think the best way to correct the faults of the concept would be to simply remove Soul gain from players. Or srap the whole part where the gear is kept.@@icantfindagoodname4381
@@icantfindagoodname4381 could imagine it'd be easily fixed by having variant summons(Special summons you can only have a limited amount of) like skeleton mages, assassins, warriors, deathknights scaling to your level but only being unlocked through quests or boss content to match your progression.
Almost all of them look and feel the same to me. My biggest gripe is animations usually. Close to 0 telegraphing.
Kinda overhyped, but don't get me wrong they have room for improvement like Verdant Moon is better terms of UI and build designs if only it had this clean of a Deepwoken combat and what they added in this game. I'm still interested what they'll offer to us.

Honestly I don't know how you people haven't heard of pilgrammed! It's a great game lots of hard bosses and quest and it was a real challenge for me. Please play some pilgrammed it can change your perspective in so many ways

@@terrellwilliams6737 odyssey falls off for me because of the fact that it's just so annoying to play. especially trying to explore the dark sea content, but i despise pvp. and the lack of option to disable it, along with many other decisions vetex makes that literally deleted items i had, yeah, i'd really rather just play OG arcane. i just wish roblox didn't ruin it all with FE.

Pvp looks good but the lacking visuals is going to be the death of the game, the game is going to be weeped under the rug in a week if lucky enough a mouth.
The reason why arcane Odyssey and deepeoken is so popular it's because of the interesting world, the game mechanics, and the mystery of the world. Hopefully we get a the same thing but if not the game will eventually die in the first month.
exactly, it also lacks lots of movement and such. if we had visuals and overall more fleshed out fights we'd have crazy ass epic fights which would let it live longer

It's like pet sim now gambling for random stuff that does nothing and shoves stuff in your face
few things i want to ask, 1. is there dual wield 2. how large is the weapon variety 3. will the game be paid? (please dont do this it will kill the game) 4. will clan/guild wars be a thing 5. what kind of QoL things are in the game such as, your own room/home, jobs like black smith wood worker botanist etc, 6. character customization is it in the game, if so how deep is it? 7. armor coloring (like you could have the same armor as one guy but you made yours a different color by using a dye) 8. will there be stuff in place for people with bad PCs/Internet 9. if this will be inspired by anime/animes what will they be, will they be picked by the fandom or just what devs want to make 10. magic?
Additionally: how good is the lore
Deepwoken has all of that and it’s paid yet it still got 10-20k consistent , u can have a decent paid game.
