Now that I think about it, it explains why Liz is placed the way she is in the opening. Remember that she's placed to Alicia as if they were besties and then, there's a frame where Liz is literally falling under water and into darkness. It's just pitiful. Question: *did it leave because of Liz's power, or because it simply wasnt its mission to attack anyone?* Remember, Alicia theorizes that Laval used the wolf as a probe, just to get a look at the Saint. *Does that mean that, if it were its mission, the wolf could've attacked Liz unaffected by her influence?* 😳 _How many potential threats does that open up if it turns out like that?_
Grandpa Will was an excellent Prine Minister and his plan to divide powers between 5 noble families would've been great at lessening political tension in the kingdom

Ngl poor Liz, she really is just trapped in a prison isn’t she, the yes men and the fact her magic is subconsciously affecting others, she has no way out besides Alicia. As for grandpa Will wow that was a backstory, and the fact the prince was in cahoots with him too. Yet now we have a new problem which is that laval place, they seem to be pulling strings in the background. It’ll be interesting to see what happens next and truly again I gotta say, I hope Alicia can help Liz, there’s still a chance for her. As for Will, I hope he gets to make up with his brother because that was just so sad.
Duke uses Wall Slam It's not effective! Alicia countered with a headbutt and was effective man I love Alicia she and Liz are now completely selling the show.
Yeah the Liz part was interesting but I was more hung up over grandpa will’s backstory. I was legitimately furious for his sake and wanted bad things to happen to the king. Even with the revelation of the kings mother being behind it, that hardly did anything to quell frustration with the king
I called it last week when I said that the boy that Will talked about who was a talented mage but lost his magic was him. I also called it that he was sent to that village because of that partly. As without magic he could not inherit the throne. So his younger half brother becomes the heir instead. But because the current king’s mother was against Will and did not wanna risk her son’s position. As he was the second born from the second wife which seemed like she belonged to lower nobility. The only thing he had going for him was his magic to stay in power. So she removed Will and took away his eyes in hope that he would never pose threat to her son. So now after saying that I loved this episode. With the new reveals we got from Will and even the school environment. Which was interesting to see how both Liz and Alicia did respond to this situation. I’m also starting to feel bad for Liz which is the last thing I would except a few weeks ago. With Liz being struck between a rock and a hard place with people doing bad things in your name and people taking shit behind your back and you’re just supposed to smile at all of that. Also liked how Duke did borrow Alicia for a while and tried to rizz her. With saying that she should only care for him and saying that he would lock her up after he did a wall slam. Which gave him a head butt as she enjoy being free and not locked up
Already suspected that Liz used that aura intentionally not accidentally because of her “emotions” as several said. What I can guess is for those who are unaffected by this aura is they might have a role in Alicia’s life more than Liz and they are not so shallow minded like the others who are affected.
Hateable characters are good when you can really understand them and say "I hate you wholeheartedly and without doubt because you deserve it" (the queen who framed Granpda Will) or "I hate what you do, but GD! I like that you are trying to change for the better" (Liz). And back to my rant about her powers: look at what happened to the three trash girls (properly hateable shallow creatures) how they begin to react when hit by Liz's subconscious "power". The blond guy and the green guy noticed this time that the three girls who once hated Liz began to worship her while still saying "f commoners". As if the brainwashing was not properly effective this time. Or didn't go all the way through. Is it because Liz was feeling confusion or apprehension towards Alicia? Because of the subconscious weight of her Saint persona she has to maintain? One thing is for sure, Liz is trying to grow, but she is still not aware of her own lack of awareness. And Alicia's words about her not understanding her powers, their limits and risks is quickly coming to bite her. I'm sure that it will be one hell of harsh lesson for her to learn, likely at the end of the season. But luckily, she has a proper villainess to point out her glaring flaws and (I hope) true friends that will support her as she learns to stand up again after her fall. That's why I like hateable characters. PD: Duke and Alicia. They make a good couple, but Duke needs to be a little less... forceful. Though I wager softer methods would not even register on Alicia's radar.
_Look, I ship them, but the Duke occasionally waves some _*_MASSIVE Red Flags,_*_ I'm not gonna lie._ ¬¬ I genuinelly think this guy needs to have a sit down with either Alicia herself, or a therapist! Season 2 is a 50/50 since the LN itself gotten pretty far but not quite done from what i can gathered, hoping for a Season 2 since a lot of fun stuff is waiting to happen there.
im starting to think that was the game itself trying to push alicia into the enemy role of liz and the dukes attack against her was her wakeup call thats somethings wrong, seems like the world is struggling trying to keep liz as the protagonist and alicia the villian and even liz is starting to realize theres something wrong with everything going her way thats beyond her control. the last couple of episodes shes been directly apologizing for the others actions knowing that they are acting that way becuase of her and shes been a lot less holyer than thow attitude and more trying to understand alicia better
Worse part is? SHE HERSELF DIDN'T REALIZE THAT! 😫 Imagine wishing to befriend a certain person, only to discover you almost tried to get that person killed yourself? I'm telling you, when Liz finds out her "Saint aura" or whatever causes all these things not just to other people but to herself, she's gonna have the mother of all meltdowns! _(just hope shoddy doesn't think of unaliving herself)_
There seems to be a misunderstanding since I am not a native English speaker. I am not trying to say that I hate Liz but more so the fact that her getting hate isn't going to stop anytime soon.
What started making Liz be tolerable was her acknowledging her shortcomings as pointed out by Alicia - mainly jumping to conclusions before hearing all sides of the story, especially because it led Liz into being so easily manipulated by those around her with nefarious intentions (as shown over and over up to this point) - and promising to change. What's made her actually likeable is living up to that promise. A couple of episodes ago Liz buys into everything that trio says, jumps on her pedestal, and starts scolding Alicia. Now she just looks at Alicia and asks "what really happened?" It's like Liz has taken Alicia's "be better" reprimand and run with it. Liz's growth has been remarkable the last few episodes, and while she's still a flawed character, she's learned from her past mistakes and is trying, which is all you can really ask from someone.
I still hate the way Liz talks and walks... I would still seal her magic and sent her to Wills village before Alicia helped that place bcs Even tho she is slowly improving, she is still super chaos, but I will drop the hate at some point... The point would be her take control over her aura, untill then there is no way... And dont get me wrong she is well writen and the show wouldnt be same without her, but its like 3rd leg that she doesnt know about and everyone else is tripping over it and some people really could be killed bcs of that. While its really not her fault, it is still her responsibility.
I agree that the writing for this story is fairly deep, much more than I expected. Originally I thought this was just a simple anti-villain comedy, but it's more than just that. Alicia's "villainy" is still very funny though. 😁
What was that "I want to lock you up" shit?! || Is it just me or did that come out of fucking nowhere? And how is Laval related to this? I'm so confused!
@@AHBrandonReviews _PARTIALLY_ understandable, *but my God, that is a Crimson Flag if I've ever seen one.* =__= Duke needs to change his approach asap, cause that shit can turn toxic real fast for the both of them! Also, we gotta talk about Laval. *You think a war might be on the horizon, if Season 2 ever comes out?*
Putting it simple, these wolfs only exist in Laval. In game Lore they Just appeared out of nowhere but because this world is real now there has to be a reason as to why they came to the school.
Duke wants to protect Alicia; he confessed that to her in the previous episode. So, he was just letting off steam and saying it In front of Alicia since he promised her that he will be upfront about his thoughts. Well, anyways it helps Alicia to realize where Duke stands. Now she has no doubt that he really does love her.
@Momoyue I'd say in manga it has more details that kind of point to him being foolish rather than just everyone betraying him. I mean at the very least he could talk to his lil bro before doing something stupid like attempting to reform the kingdom his brother rules. Without consulting the monarch. In anime nothing is actually his fault he was betrayed is all.
Not aware you was a hater 'till this video popped up, *dang, I've been missing out these past weeks.* :| But I agree with your assessment, Liz is gonna have an outburst at some point. At this point, as far as I'm concerned for her, I just want to see when and how Liz will be broken free from that unintended influence of hers, and most importantly, how will she react once she finds out she's been basically brainwashing everyone around her her entire life. *That revelation is gonna be a gut-punch.* And I'm just here expecting to see how Alicia manages to pull that off~! 😁 _Of course, before that happens, Alicia herself needs to learn about this unnatural influence herself._ (she's had her suspicions, but no confirmation, so she's not planning anything on that end just yet) Frankly, I never hated Liz, but I _WAS_ very concerned that whatever inner ability her nature as a Saint gives her, it revolves around picking up her negative emotions and "spilling them out", so they won't linger on Liz herself. *The obvious problem being that this literally affects everybody else too close to her.* By the way, another _PROBABLY VERY IMPORTANT_ detail touched only briefly in this Episode. *The kingdom of Laval was probing on the Saint.* Remember that story of the Dark Wolf or whatever that appeared at the Academy and almost attacked Liz, before she somehow managed to shoo it off? *Yeah, what are the chances that this is not the last we will hear of Laval going after her?* Also, that whole story's conclusion was explained pretty vaguely! "Liz expelled away a wolf without using violence, despite being terrified to the point of trembling!" Uh-huh, quick question: did Liz "talk the wolf into leaving"... *or did it just retreat by itself?* 🤨 If that wolf was a familiar of sorts... _maybe the reason it didn't attack Liz was simply because that was not its mission?_ Meaning if it were, it *could* have attacked her? (food for thought, what do you think?)
Its funny that’s it the villainess shows that are going more in depth with the video game turned real world troupe. You’d think I’d be isekais, since log horizon started it, but no. Villainess level 99 had a MC that was being forced by the plot to do things, and this is showing what a MC that can influence the world functionally looks like.
Is the prince actually planning/trying to assassinate Liz? It seems like he was involved in the wolf attack, or at least that he knew about it. Why else tell Alicia to stop digging?
Grandpa Will' backstory was heartbreaking 😭 I hope he will able to make up and apologise to his brother Luke 🙏🏻 Liz' feelings unconsciously influencing peoples around her could cause some very bad things to occurs 😨 I still don't like her but her character is well written and necessary! Duke already knowing about Will took me by surprise 😮 Alicia counter his kabedon with a headbutt 🤣 Those two will perhaps confess to each other more quickly than expected 😂
But that is what's so tragic. Grandpa Will didn't even mess with King Luke! Bro didn't f*ck around, he just found out! All because Luke's mother was paranoic about her son's position being challenged by Will! A threat that was NONEXISTANT!
You're not wrong about Liz, but I'd probably even go a step further. Even without being a self insert blank slate MC growing up with a passive aura that makes everybody around you compliant to your wishes would turn many people into a monster. If she can truly grow past that into being a better person that would be pretty good character development.
I agree with everything you said... But at this point I find every single individual Sin Archbishop in Re:Zero more tolerable than Liz and her zombie followers 😂
To me, Liz is actually a genuine character and not a 2 faced evil bitch disguising as a good person. But despite her complex personality and struggles, it doesn't change the fact that she's a Mary Sue and was given Mary Sue-perpowers. If all Heroines are Mary Sues, I would never stop hating them regardless of how complex they are.
i kind of hope liz does snap on her followers telling them to stop being such underhanded douchebags though i wonder what would happen from that seeing as those 3 girls this episode are already contradicting themselves saying lowly commoners but holding liz above all. seems like liz is starting to realize there something going on with herself thats beyond even her control
Sadly, I don't think Liz realizes it much, only that some of her followers can do bad things for her. Last we saw of her, she was too focused on the sad thought that she and Alicia might never become friends, so I doubt she paid attention to that trio's contradicting words the same way little blondie and green haired dude did.
You can see her reactions are genuine and it's simply the game world forcing her emotional state onto others. She isn't happy nor does she want conflict
@@AHBrandonReviews yeah I could have been overthinking it. She is not aware of it but feel like slowly she is breaking out of her coding and it will be interesting if that happens
@ Well said. It can also be said that surroundings and circumstances affect your emotions. Then because of her powers she affects others and round and round we go in closed loop.
I'm curious about the fact that some people don't get affected, and some are able to break free from Liz's unintentional mind control. I wonder what the conditions are for it to take effect, how you break free from it and what can make you immune to it.

I am surprised that Duke knows about Granpa Will and it seems Duke has something cooking in the shadows.
Beginning of video: Great. Liz's aura got to Brandon through the anime. End of video: Okay... I get it.
Not aware you was a hater 'till this video popped up, *dang, I've been missing out these past weeks.* :|
But I agree with your assessment, Liz is gonna have an outburst at some point. At this point, as far as I'm concerned for her, I just want to see when and how Liz will be broken free from that unintended influence of hers, and most importantly, how will she react once she finds out she's been basically brainwashing everyone around her her entire life. *That revelation is gonna be a gut-punch.*
And I'm just here expecting to see how Alicia manages to pull that off~! 😁 _Of course, before that happens, Alicia herself needs to learn about this unnatural influence herself._ (she's had her suspicions, but no confirmation, so she's not planning anything on that end just yet)
Frankly, I never hated Liz, but I _WAS_ very concerned that whatever inner ability her nature as a Saint gives her, it revolves around picking up her negative emotions and "spilling them out", so they won't linger on Liz herself. *The obvious problem being that this literally affects everybody else too close to her.*
By the way, another _PROBABLY VERY IMPORTANT_ detail touched only briefly in this Episode.
*The kingdom of Laval was probing on the Saint.*
Remember that story of the Dark Wolf or whatever that appeared at the Academy and almost attacked Liz, before she somehow managed to shoo it off? *Yeah, what are the chances that this is not the last we will hear of Laval going after her?*
Also, that whole story's conclusion was explained pretty vaguely! "Liz expelled away a wolf without using violence, despite being terrified to the point of trembling!" Uh-huh, quick question: did Liz "talk the wolf into leaving"... *or did it just retreat by itself?*
🤨
If that wolf was a familiar of sorts... _maybe the reason it didn't attack Liz was simply because that was not its mission?_
Meaning if it were, it *could* have attacked her? (food for thought, what do you think?)
Its funny that’s it the villainess shows that are going more in depth with the video game turned real world troupe.
You’d think I’d be isekais, since log horizon started it, but no.
Villainess level 99 had a MC that was being forced by the plot to do things, and this is showing what a MC that can influence the world functionally looks like.
For Liz the only person she can trust is the girl who always insults and go against her. as well as seems to hate her.
They took the eyes dam. Thats cold.
Is the prince actually planning/trying to assassinate Liz? It seems like he was involved in the wolf attack, or at least that he knew about it. Why else tell Alicia to stop digging?
Grandpa Will' backstory was heartbreaking 😭
I hope he will able to make up and apologise to his brother Luke 🙏🏻
Liz' feelings unconsciously influencing peoples around her could cause some very bad things to occurs 😨
I still don't like her but her character is well written and necessary!
Duke already knowing about Will took me by surprise 😮
Alicia counter his kabedon with a headbutt 🤣
Those two will perhaps confess to each other more quickly than expected 😂
your feelings on liz are valid. Embrace those feelings.
Don’t mess with a mother hawks babies. They’ll rip your eyes out.
So can we confirm that Liz is the real villainess at this point?
But that is what's so tragic. Grandpa Will didn't even mess with King Luke!
Bro didn't f*ck around, he just found out! All because Luke's mother was paranoic about her son's position being challenged by Will! A threat that was NONEXISTANT!
You're not wrong about Liz, but I'd probably even go a step further. Even without being a self insert blank slate MC growing up with a passive aura that makes everybody around you compliant to your wishes would turn many people into a monster. If she can truly grow past that into being a better person that would be pretty good character development.
Hes mind controlled its offical
I agree with everything you said... But at this point I find every single individual Sin Archbishop in Re:Zero more tolerable than Liz and her zombie followers 😂
I love you reviews ! But you might be changing my thoughts on Liz and I do be not liking her
To me, Liz is actually a genuine character and not a 2 faced evil bitch disguising as a good person. But despite her complex personality and struggles, it doesn't change the fact that she's a Mary Sue and was given Mary Sue-perpowers.
If all Heroines are Mary Sues, I would never stop hating them regardless of how complex they are.
In the novel l hate Liz much more and then I feel so sorry for that. The anime is too fast
i kind of hope liz does snap on her followers telling them to stop being such underhanded douchebags though i wonder what would happen from that seeing as those 3 girls this episode are already contradicting themselves saying lowly commoners but holding liz above all. seems like liz is starting to realize there something going on with herself thats beyond even her control
I think Brandon started to get brain washed by Liz. turn hatter into follower. XD
Oh no....
Liz is such high level and can't control that power of affecting others? o.o I don't buy it she has to be aware of it
You can see her reactions are genuine and it's simply the game world forcing her emotional state onto others. She isn't happy nor does she want conflict
@@AHBrandonReviews yeah I could have been overthinking it. She is not aware of it but feel like slowly she is breaking out of her coding and it will be interesting if that happens
I think it's like if you or I got angry and everyone else did because the world fed on our emotions sort of deal
I'm a hater of liz only because the show and manga make it very easy to hate her so she's doing her job right
Please Sir,don't be a follower of Liz!!! Just be neutral ,please😢!
