the power steering gear is going to be bad and probably the tie rod . you will notice. play in the steering that doesn't seem like much but it will shake pretty bad over 34-40 mph most likely on the road .
You'll love that rig, they're beasts. Let it warm up to 100 or so before moving it. Sportsmans are cake to work on too. The grab handles are actually tie down points and not handles, and 6 of them come with the quad. Synthetic rope is standard as well on the 850/1000 Trails.

Its a known weak point they changed on the S models.
I haven’t noticed any play or any shaking? Have put 10 hours on it since then!
The EPS gear will be absolutely fine.
