The action of an automatic firearm is capable of harvesting the excess energy released from a previous discharge to feed a new ammunition round into the chamber, and then igniting the propellant and discharging the projectile (either bullet, shot, or slug) by delivering a hammer or striker impact on the primer.

Crazy how now kids have to think about a shooting happening whenever going to school, im all for our rights and being able to have firearms but there need to be more done with gun regulation's and making sure guns don't end up on the people mentally unfit and especially KIDS
No. Secure the schools. Democrats refuse to do that because they love these shootings because they want to take our guns which are for tyrants. Never gonna happen
Its illegal for a 14 year old boy to own or buy a gun. He obtained illegally. He broke the law. Which means any law you pass he wouldn't have respected....
@@firefly9838 His parents had the guns unsupervised and accessible. That is not proper gun owner etiquette, and should be against the law.
@@firefly9838 I have seen you twice in the comments arguing against good intentioned Americans who don't want a country where they feel unsafe sending their children to school. Do you have a solution or do you just want to be selfish and play with your guns?
@GreySoul-k5z there's not a great solution. shootings should not tarnish our amendments. We should be able to own guns. Yes there is checks that should happen and does happen. But this shouldn't ruin the rights of owning weapons for the American people. We keep cars even tho they cause more death than guns. We have laws in place to try to prevent deaths and injuries but is there still deaths and injuries. Yes there is. There is always more effective laws that we could put in place. I am a huge gun supporter but there is also common sense things that I believe that are in place.
If someone called and threatened a shooting why in the hell wasnt the school locked down???
At 14 I wasn’t shooting guns in school that’s crazy 🤦♂️

Amount of unemployed Army Veterans and amount of schools could always hire an Army Veteran to guard the school. At least 2-3 per school for the public schools because private schools be more handled by a security guard. Public School however if anyone see a Military Veteran wouldn't mess with those they can take someone down.
That is not the solution!! Veterans have their issues, too,PTSD. You have crazy veterans, too. The solution is not more guns, but the laws have to change. When you look at the European countries, they have strict gun laws and very little gun violence. Until our politicians are personally affected by gun violence, nothing will change!!
"There's just no way to stop this from happening" - says the only country where this regularly happens.
Why aren't guns banned in america yet, what else does it have to take man
Self defense:
@@JC_616 Most white gun owners don't kill anyone. It's the black gang members that do it
There wouldn’t need to be self defense because the person breaking in wouldn’t have a gun 😐
because America is filled with white rednecks who are obsessed with shooting shit in "self defense"
@@Itsjustcrislol right
We wouldn’t have to worry about it if they would get rid of the automatic weapons that should only be owned by military personnel.
I'm not sure u know what an automatic weapon is
@@MRkriegs I do know, and the following is the definition. It is a type of gun that you don’t need when hunting!
is a self-loading firearm that continuously chambers and fires rounds when the trigger mechanism is actuated. The action of an automatic firearm is capable of harvesting the excess energy released from a previous discharge to feed a new ammunition round into the chamber, and then igniting the propellant and discharging the projectile (either bullet, shot, or slug) by delivering a hammer or striker impact on the primer.
😢Wow. What a thumbnail.
All districts across the country need to prevent bullying both online and in person, only people who have nothing else to lose will do something like this.

red flag laws would have helped.
The FBI knew about this kid a year ago.
How would red flag laws help? A 14 year old can’t own any weapon to be taken away. Red flag laws are meant to remove the legally owned weapon for the gun owners, correct? So if you can’t legally own a firearm then you don’t have any firearms to be taken away.
Legitimately how? I'm not even trying to argue or troll. I'm confused on your reasoning and curious how it makes sense to you.
Weird way to talk to a reporter
Headline? AI story.
I hope the kid had alerts muted.
this country needs to fix the damn mental health problem
But how can they do that
We are fine. The media is just in your face all the time now. These things happened 100 years ago but were extremely localized and the entire country was not immediately alerted and reminded every second. No you had newspapers and you found out months later in a footnote and then forgot about it for the rest of your life.
This country needs to take away the guns. Other countries also have mental health issues people, you don’t hear them taking the lives school children so regularly. The gun fetishists have ruined America.
Too bad Conservatives always shoot down legislation to provide mental health services. And of course, they won't do amything about guns, no matter how many kids die.
And the gun problem.
2:21 Reading this broke my heart, you can tell how scared that poor kid was by the spelling mistakes, their habds were probably shaking in fear 😢
This was a gun free zone.
Strange?
It's almost like the criminal and mentally ill don't listen.
I believe there's a lesson in this.
Sorry the sensors that censor don't understand dry humor just yet.
If only the left would allow free speech.
Thank goodness they're taking phones away from those kids though! And also making sure they can't wear black clothes!
That'll help.
Failed society
WE DO NOT NEED STEEL DOORS AS MUCH AS WE NEED GUN SAFETY LAWS this is literally sickening how people will install protection BEFORE taking away the main source. my cousin died in uvalde and this is irritating we are sitting here and letting this happen "free country " but at the cost of sending your 14 year old kid to school for the last time. my condolences to everyone and their families that were hurt/killed❤☹️
Would steel doors do it? Can’t a lot of these bunkers go through walls?
You blame the people, not the tools.
Don't bother replying, I won't be back.
This is why highschoolers should be able to use their phones at school in case of an abrupt emergency dont pass the no phone policy rule thats messed up
So sad

The fact that this didn’t even shock me is sad why do we have to go to school worry if we may get killed, this country is disappointing there is nothing to be proud of there is no reason we should be waving our flag it’s embarrassing

How about harden and protect schools , train and arm staff. Hire security. No laws will stop evil only good people armed and trained will stop evil.
Schools can barely afford textbooks, can barely pay teachers poverty wages, can’t even feed the kids, and yall want them to be armed and trained as law enforcement officers as well?! Think about that for a second. These are school, not penitentiaries.
So you want more guns in the school?
These schools often have that actually. I thought I saw info on this schools higher security but cant find it rn, mustve been a different shooting.
There's been many cases when cops were already on scene and still couldn't stop multiple deaths
If this has been such a hot-button issue for 20+ years in this country and we have video evidence of "good guys with guns" failing multiple times to stop a crazed guy with a gun, why can't we just TRY the other option?

Yes

I’m trying to figure out why parents aren’t prosecuted for the murders their children commit?
Afterall, parents are responsible for their children (if the child is not a legal adult yet) and the actions of that child, right?

It ain't about race. I'm guessing it was a white boy but that doesn't mean much to me. This country teaches us to hate each other. You are right. At the same time, neither does the average American citizen, hence how a 14 year old was able to be in possession of a firearm.

Lots of bomb threats in the 90s but that was usually a get out of school for the day card.
Why no discription of Gunman?
Gunman is 14
Why no description and arrest of the parents responsible?
A parent is responsible for a minor child’s actions, these parents should be charged alongside the 14 year old for the murders.
We need to stop blaiming everything and everyone but the people who gave the child access to their firearms.
