Grohl is an awesome human being, this wasn't Nandi jamming with the Foo Fighters, this was the Foo Fighters jamming with Nandi. An awesome performance. 100% talent. 110% enthusiasm. 200% happiness, just look at that grin on Nadi's face
I've seen a few different views of this performance but this one is the first one I've seen where Taylor Hawkins can be seen watching her. He's loving it!
I've seen several videos over the years of guest drummers, and the band's drummer is always right at their kit, just in case. Taylor was sitting BEHIND his son (who was loving every minute of it himself). Sure, they did at least one sound check, but that's TRUST. Nandi wasn't a guest that night; she was a Foo.
Thanks for the Shout-Out! I had the same reaction while filming those tiny little arms banging all over the drums! And that SCREAM!! Thanks for choosing my vid!
Immense talent, she plays guitar, bass, and piano too. Out of this world! "Fits perfectly with the band" sums it up perfectly. She didn't just play that she drove it home.
This kid is from the UK. Prodigy is not even enough to describe her skills. Just like a pro. Going into 5th grade too. Her Dad is British, her Mom is South African - ethnic Zulu heritage. 160 beats per minute machine she is!
Nandi...what a talented drummer. You can tell she is enjoying every moment...a musical prodigy. Prince in the making. We have a Princess here! Hope she continues the journey.
First time I saw her I was stunned ! To be that good at her age is a prodigy situation. She is AMAZING! Hats off to Dave and The Foo's. Awesome humans as usual.
So cool. Nandi has a bright future ahead of her. To be able to sit down with one of the biggest bands in the world, in front of a packed LA crowd and absolutely own the drums for her first liver performance? Talk about trial by fucking inferno! Honestly, that girl was placed in the highest possible pressure situation (for this scenario) and absolutely killed it at 11 years old. Bright future for her.
Not many mention she plays keyboards, guitar, base, sax... She has a TH-cam channel and she has videos of her layering instruments on a multi-channel tape loop machine to build up covers of a song. This is the future of music.
She really did do a great job. Honestly this is one of the best live performances of this song I’ve ever heard from them, in terms of staying true to the original album recording. She kept the groove and the tempo tight and locked in through the entire performance. Crushed it.
Man this is my favorite reaction video just from the vanish point you clearly see she was having fun and the Foo fighters band members were having fun also and like you said she was spot on coming out of that break back to the original beat beautiful job Nandi
Thank you for this reaction!! ❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤘🏼🥁 The best highlight of quarantine in ‘20, for me, was Nandi’s battle with Dave Grohl. THIS- her actually playing with the Foos, is the greatest moment of 2021. Her energy is infectious. You can’t help but smile and love her! ❤️😀
Just unbelievable, ...I believe what we are witnessing is a naturally gifted musician who has immense talent and such good feel for tempo and understands how music needs to be presented. So musically multifaceted at such a young age, she really stands out
Thank YOU for the reaction! I think we all felt the pure joy of this (as well as being knocked out by the sheer awesomeness of it). I look forward to seeing how this amazing little human develops (she's really good at bass and guitar and is learning keys and sax, dear god). She's an inspiration to all of us, but I hope especially other kids (male, female, white, black, brown, anything!), seeing the pure joy and energy - it's making the world a better place, and we sure need that.
Thank you so much for recognizing this wonderful Zulu/Brit musician. Argos Christmas advert is one to check out along with her Epic battles with Dave Grohl. She always brings a smile to my face and this time some tears of joy to see her fulfill her dreams. Dave said she would steal the show and she did that 100%. Thanks again. Love and Respect...
She's from the UK. She was 10 tho, I think. She's been playing since she was 5!!! Check out some of her videos from when she was 7!!! She screams when she plays, absolutely phenomenal!!
Anybody else catch the Taylor Hawkins jaw drop @5:22 when she filled in the pause with a drumstick show.....???? Congrats to KB on showing this as it's the only vid of I've found where you see this...
You see nate and pete moving closer to look.... They are obviously getting energised from her performance..... while Chris looks like "whats the big deal"... Jealous maybe...???

This is Dave recognizing the dreams when he was a little boy. Dreaming of moments like this and then being able to make them come true!
Dave grohl is an awesome guy, to recognize and engage that awesome girl and give her that experience... She's amazing. What a moment.
I never noticed that young drummer lady before and I am impressed.

That young girl lives in my town! An absolute talent.
Not many mention she plays keyboards, guitar, base, sax...

This is the future of music.
The drum kit was a gift to her
A gift well earned if you ask me.
Now she has 2 😂 Lenny Kravitz gave her one for Christmas.
She also has her black set, then the brown set Lenny K and Nate Smith gave her.

I was there. She kicked butt and stole the hearts of everyone in the whole arena! Nandi Rocks!😎❤️

I damn near cried when I saw this! Love the FF! She is so precious! Made 2021 suck less.
Nandi is a prodigy. Love her and the Foos. Great reaction.
Dave is the coolest I met him so down to earth

If watching this doesn't put a smile on your face and a few tears in your eyes, then you hate good music and fun...
Nandi is amazing! I'm so glad she got to realize this dream.

Very nice comment Mark.
She’s a true virtuoso!!!
LOVE Nandi and you gotta love Dave ❤️
This gives me chills every time I watch it🙏❤️💖
Nandi is amazing. I like that you have your screen smaller than what you are watching. More enjoyable to watch full screen
Somebody needs to sign that kid a paycheck. This is crazy. She'll be in a band soon

One day, the drums will earn her money. She's immensely talentful!

Nandi is "ZULU-BRITISH" Named after Queen Nandi mother of 18th century Warlord king SHAKA of the South African Zulu Nation.
The drum kit belongs to Daves daughter
