Thank you! U helped me figure it out. My 1st Orchid, gifted on mothers day from my nephew, and the stem was turning brownish, like drying out. I knew something wasn't right. The leaves look great, nice and healthy, but the stem looked like it was drying out. So I'm glad i found ur video, and I can't wait to see them bloom again.
This is such a clear and helpful video. I have been waiting for my orchid to flower again for almost a year. Now I shall cut the flower stems as you have shown. Your voice is so peaceful - I could listen to you forever... 😂
I noticed you had the flower spike supports in the pot before the update but gone in the update video. It looks like you had enough flexibility in the stalks to hold them up with supports. I have done that successfully before, but one time I ended up breaking it. :-( Probably from trying too soon. (Growth too short at the time.) I have 3 more spikes growing out of a blooming orchid on 2 different stalks on one I bought recently. I'm waiting to see how they'll grow at this point. Your flowers are gorgeous on both plants!
I loved your video on cutting the spike on the orchid. I am brand new to growing orchids and I am very nervous that I’ll kill it. It’s so beautiful but my flowers are starting to fall off. I think it’s going in to hibernation. Should I cut the plant now or wait a while? I’d love for it to bloom again. Thank you for your information. It’s very much appreciated. I’ve subscribed to your channel now. 🙏🏼🌸

Glad it was helpful! Yes, after your orchid has finished blooming, you can trim the flower spike.

Very helpful!
My flower spike is still greeen so I hate to cut them. My friend left hers & she got a baby on it
My name is Linda not Mylee
You don't have to cut it if you don't want to. Congratulations on your friends keiki/baby. It is an exact replica of the mother plant.
