I'll never understand how cars that cost more than some houses dont have the sharpest screens with the fastest processors. You can buy a top of the line pc for the price of a Bentley ashtray ffs

@@yee6365 just because something is complex doesn't necessitate its more prone to problems, infact it can solve more problems, i don't know much about how computers work in cars but I'm guessing their somewhat similar to conventional ones , computers with fast processors actually have less problems and are more efficient at what they do, have you ever used a laptop that's laggy, majority of the time it's to do with a shitty processor
Cars like this are art and status symbols. Their value is measured on a different scale. But I too believe that in order to achieve their goal of being a status symbol they should have best example of everything including a HD navigation screen.

Minor correction: the optional Naim Audio sound system is closer to £6,000, not £9,000. But I wouldn't complain if Bentley asked £9k for it. Did I mention how brilliant it is?

If i had this kind of money to purchase an SUV i would easily pick the Range Rover Sv autobiography over this. The new 2018 model is so luxurious and filled with tech that it makes this Bentaga seem old and from a previous gen. Bentley is selling more of the name here and not giving you top notch quality and tech for your money here. The new range has everything powered at the rear including the doors. Even the Lexus Rx has electric power adjustable rear seats and this doesn't. The rear seat folding is manual at this price point? The new LS just blows this away in terms of tech and comfort, this just has more wood in it. You recently had an overview of the LS and the hands free system with your foot to open the boot worked each and every time. This has a brain of its own, it has a nice interior though but just not as special as an SUV in this price point should be. The new Continental GT is way better with tech and more luxurious..
It sounded good to me when I heard it in the 13 GT Speed.
It has the cheapest looking arm rest i've ever seen in a luxury SUV
I have absolutely fallen in love with the Bentayga! I didn't like it much in the beginning but now, the more I look at it the more I love it! Yes, it is on the expensive side but its worth every penny imo. That interior is the best I've seen in any SUV and I'm including the Range Rover in this comparison. Looks great too, at least to me.
Best review i've seen of this car... I love how 50% of it is static, giving a great insight into the car's features. I also think the concept car looked better though. Once again, top class work Matt!!!

Vanom I’ve actually watched a lot of his videos, but it happens that people aren’t all the same and they have diferente preferences, if you think Doug DeMuro is better that’s you personal preference. I personally prefer carwow reviews but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like Doug DeMuro reviews, they’re pretty good actually and with a lot of humor included

Still can't understand how can anyone buy a diesel bentley... you spend 12000$ on a sound sistem but you care about saving a pound over 60 miles...
carlos mayor thats true, also porsche with its diesel V8... I mean it might be diesel but a 450 hp 4.0 V8 wont do 5 liters in city, its consumption will still be high, plus when you can afford a car in 100,000$+ range you shoudnt care about fuel... But I guess some people like diesel..
It's not about cost, it's about range. Diesel Bentayga is a fantastic grand tourer.
I would certainly buy a diesel Bentley. As others have said it is about range and convenience. I would also add a long range fuel tank to the car if it was available. 750 to 850 miles between refills has a lot going for it.
I rarely fill up at a commercial fuel station with any of my small fleet. A 600 mile range will get me to most places and back if I fill up from the tank on my yard at my convenience before going. Filling up at a fuel station is so, well 'common'.

Great review Matt, however, when are you going to realize that you wave your foot under a rear Corner in order to open the boot, sensors are not located in the middle incase you want to fit a towbar!

It even looks like a Q7 but twice as expensive, would choose a Q7 over this any day and Im quite sure the Audis electric tailgate works

i think the engine is more high end and a few of the details, hence the price difference.

nakul singh I agree especially with the war on diesel at the moment in the UK. I think an autobiography Range Rover is more opulent in the rear though and far better looking.
The front over hang is just gross on the yuk yuk!

I’ve delivered a few of them. They’re an absolutely amazing piece of kit. I took one from Warwick up to Sunderland. I’m not 100% sure, but I got the impression that he was a footballer. Anyway, he was a good bloke and dropped me off at my next pick up and used the time to check the car out. He had previously owned a Continental and had just part ex’d for the Bentayga. I was not too happy with having to hand it over if I’m honest. He said he was impressed with the one he was given by Bentley, when his motor was in the garage. I think kids were an upcoming issue. You can drive for 2, or 300 miles and not even notice. I would have one in a heartbeat if I could afford it. It’s not just the cost of the car, but the service & maintenance costs are just simply insane.

Those dials in the middle are used in the new 2017 Audi models, the symbols look very similar and the temperature dial is exactly the same. So are the 12v socket covers.
Very good review Mat. Unfortunately the car itself is a big disappointment. From the infotainment system that is ancient to the way you lower the back seat ... I'm not even mentioning the looks.

For something so incredibly expensive, it really should be state of the art in every respect and it’s not.
whats wrong with handles on seats? electric seats are useless and heavy in a car only one person will ever drive and who will never change the driving position. and its the same in sportscars.

The looks are just very understated for me. It looks like a cheap Chinese "Bentlyong" or something like that. Technically still advanced and i bet that it's also very luxurious.
I agree with you on the W12 6.0 engone. Also had a chance to ride it in the summer. Ride quality is 10/10 and those naim speakers 11/10.

TT Mosty I believe the TrackHawk and the new Lambo SUV are faster, but at the time of filming the Bentley will be the fastest.

I have an S5 and struggled with the foot operated trunk. One foot movement in the middle is all I need. I was moving my foot all around like he was. It's actually pretty easy once you know how.

Sclass is without a doubt very from the interior but I think the Bentley interior looks better and more unique.

Any car that's a lexury car is the same level as another just depends witch takes it farther with quality
mate, you need to sit in both of these cars and you’ll soon realise that Mercedes can not touch Bentley when it comes to interiors, not even close! One looks and feels like it came out of a factory, one looks and feels like it was made by dozens of craftsmen, night and day....
It is true though, the interior just not good enough for a Bentley, I’d say Merc or Range Rover level if not worse
People who doesn’t get it go watch Doug’s review on the Rolls Royce Wraith or the Bentley Mulsanne, those are the real luxury ones
I'd certainly go for the option of the MFI Sideboard instead of a dashboard. I can't wait to get mine delivered and go cruising up Southend and Bond Street this summer.

The maybach suv is better because the rear seat can be maneuvered to a reclining comfortable position though the bently is costly partly due to brand

Videos do not give this car justice you have to see up close and in traffic and you will quickly fall in love with it

Not that impressive with the adaptiv cruise control and lane assist, considering you can get it in an Audi A3 from 2016

That's like saying you're not impressed with seat belts, considering you can get them in a Nissan Micra. The ACC is a great tool for on the motorway. All you need to do is find someone travelling at a speed that you like and then pop behind them with the ACC set at the correct distance. You can then just sit back and let the person in front do the hard work.

The outside design looks hideous and the glossy wood is just plain tacky. Maybe borrow some ideas from Volvo on how to make wood elements look beautiful..
