Mazzy, if you’re in London in August, Abbey Road Studios usually have an open house/studio 2 tour, which is amazing. Might be worth giving them a call to see if they’re doing one this year.
Thanks Mazzy, another interesting review video. Those Elemental releases are not showing as RSD titles, but regular releases out on May 10th. Been trying to find that B.B King on vinyl for years, great to see that reissue.
Hi Mazzy, Mary Gauthier is great. I have seen her live in november 2022. After her performance I bought the album Dark enough to see the stars, which i highly recommend.
Some good stuff - I’m being a bit more discerning this year - about 6 on my list - looking forward to the Mazzy U.K. tour dates - head north from London and hit the wild and wet Midlands..if you dare! 😅
I love the rendition of "(Ain't That) Good News" with Florence Ballard performing the lead vocals on the _We Remember Sam Cooke_ album. I'll have to pick up that Elemental version.
My favorite works by Lou Reed are Loaded by the Velvet Underground and his “mainstream “ album from the 80’s called New Sensations. I can’t find that one on CD!
The David Sylvian rsd is probably my most desired. Unfortunately I’m out of the UK this weekend so will probably miss it. If any kind soul did happen by one I would be happy to PayPal ££ and p&p. 😊
I’m going to London Friday. Plan to go to rough trade and sister ray on RSD to buy my list. I can buy you a copy and ship it to you when I return to San Jose the following Friday.
Hey, Mazzy. How about a get together of your Brit fans/devotees/worshipers when you're in the UK this August? I'd happily stand you a pint of Light and Bitter.
Who is Norm🤷🏻♂️. Some labels send me advanced promo copies to review or showcase because I have a somewhat sizable audience. I mostly show the ones I like. ✌🏼
Sorry nope. Yes Psych Shack is their regular album, but there was a two CD only comp about twenty years ago called Psychedelic Soul that collects a lot of their Psych based soul tracks. It needs a vinyl version. It’s so good.
Yes, you're right Mazzy. I'd buy that LP too. I do have the Psch Soul CD because I couldn't find a reasonably priced, clean copy of Psychedelic Shack on LP. Elemental is now selling it but haven't purchased it yet.
@@mazzysmusic I guess we'll just have to see how many people are sitting around the ol' campfire singing songs about Margaret Thatcher in the 22nd century.
What a great review of RSD. Music. I agree with you about protest songs and folk music. On that note, will we see any Phil Ochs reissues do you think ??? Loved the psychedelic soul music.
I am buying that Lou Reed tribute album for 1 reason Keith Richards fantastic version of Waiting for the Man His voice is perfect for the song and what better ex junkie to sing it!!!!
Regarding that David Sylvian release, I've found that Popmarket carried the UK RSD releases anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks after RSD at normal retail prices. I picked up Beth Orton and Marianne Faithfull releases this way.
Mazzy love your T-Shirt, living in Seattle for a split second remember listening to that station and enjoying it.❤
I’d definitely buy that Temps compilation. Love that era.

Your record reviews are like sweet dreams. Sometimes, I save them for 🌙 nighttime.
Oh man, I LOVE that Psychedelic Soul compilation!
Thanks for sharing
Was dithering about the Lou Reed tribute but now I'm kean to get.
Hello Mazzy, Thank you for your great videos! I am surprised you are not aware of Mary Gauthier and never heard a The Afghan Whigs album.
Hi Mazzy, Mary Gauthier is great. I have seen her live in november 2022. After her performance I bought the album Dark enough to see the stars, which i highly recommend.
I’ll need to check that out ✌🏼

You always seem to shine a light on really interesting stuff that appeals to me. I don't think I've ever seen the Supreme's record either
This Boy Done Good is fantastic.

Thanks man! now I wanna get the B.B. King album and The Supremes album!

I have no idea if anyone else will grab it but if you do I’ll pay plus shipping ✌🏼
just listened to Keith, what a great job he did

I’ll have to do it next year in Arizona
Hope you get Lowell George
I can't wait listening to the Lou Reed tribute album.
We used to call the post rave Orb type music Chill.
Exactly 🚀
I highly recommend you listen to Mary Gauthier - Between Daylight And Dark. Thanks for the video!
I will ✌🏼
As someone already said, the BB King is not a RSD release.
Hey Mazzy I robot and Pyramid are my fave Alan Parson Project albums
How you getting these mid week norm?

Its psychedelic shack not soul 1970 Mazzy. They did do an album called In A Psychedelic Mood though in 68.

Yeah, nothing is more fun than outdated protest songs. Can't think of a better way to spend my time.
A good protest song has no expiration. The names may change but the story remains

Fun

Thanks. I have a few connections on it.
I'll seek out that Reed. I think they can be hit/miss, too. Always were. Someone is always putting leftovers on there and ruining the album.
