Actually if you start the beaker family and check nervous' gender prefs before he has any romantic interactions he has a negative score for females! So the game intended him to be gay.
Yep! It's only his relationship with Pascal that is not "technically" part of the story. Although at this point, it's become so just through our sheer will! Lol

Another scripted event is that Buzz is coded to always accept an invitation from Olive - despite them having a poor relationship! The implication being that Olive either wants to finish what she started with Lydia, or that Buzz suspects Olive for her crimes... 👀
I looooooved the scripted events in The Sims 2, they really helped to set the scene and make you interested in the sims stories. We need them to make a return in The Sims 5.
Pleasant Sims when I get the Sim 3 and Sim 2 I want to do that but how to do it we download it from sims store. And want to see sims to move to different town in sim 2 when I create my sims and I pick pleasant view and I want to go to strange town then veronville.
I recently reopened Strangetown and went through these scripted events. However I did challenge myself to change Olive's destiny. I was able to rack up enough aspiration points for her to get the Elixir of Life so that she has more time to build relationships with Nervous and Ophelia (I moved Ophelia out and her and Johnny just came back from their honeymoon. They live in one of the apartments that I thought suited Strangetown. I placed Ajay Loner in that same apartment complex too) . Johnny's birthday party was hilarious in my opinion in my game. He was able to grow up in Platinum aspiration all because he won a fight with Tank...which almost ruined his party but I had him and Ophelia woohoo in his parent's bed and that pretty much saved it. I definitely agree on the idea that Johnny and Ophelia wouldn't be going to college. I always figured that they would just marry young and start a family young. And with Tank, I always figured he would just stay with his military job instead of college (and that's pretty realistic). So Ripp is the only one I've ever sent to college as a result (and I imagine he'd do that in order to escape his family anyway, and then just move into his own place or apartment after graduation). But I'm planning on keeping Johnny, Ophelia and Tank's age close with Ripp's so I'll have those Elixir of Life's ready to use.
I randomly started playing Sims 2. Didn't know about play order. Sent my Tank to College and had Ripp not go. Tank is married with kids now in the downtown I created. He went back into the Military after college. His wife (also a college grad) is in the medical field. I am kinda glad about not knowing play order, lol. General Grunt Married Johnny's half sister Chloe and had a kid. Since there's no saving play order now, just wanna see what happens going into the next generation.
When I was a kid I used play in strangetown with my cousin. I've never really got into the lore so when we used to see Pascal we would call him "preggers" as a joke, we didn't know male sims could give birth either. When I played into their family the first time our minds just blew lol
Olive specter usualy get the other animation for Dying (the high aspiration one), where The Reaper comes with the Hulla dancers, simbolizing that he came to fetch his love forever

Even though Pleasantview will always be my favorite neighborhood in the Sims 2, Strangetown is a close second due to its interesting stories. It's a great place to mess around with supernatural activity which was smart on EA's part.
I’ve recently discovered that there are certain scripts. I mean, I’ve been playing this game for 13 years, I know every family and their stories by heart and I didn’t know about that! Sims 2 never fails to amaze me😁
Strangetown has by far, been the most crazy and strange town I've dealt with. I've played it many times. 9/10 Pascal has a boy, which I name Tycho, one time it let Jenny get pregnant one more time and she had boy/girl twins. Then the crazy glitch where Ophelia had a memory of having an affair with her own son. Which, never happened so I don't know how that actually happened?
Reading the guide always makes me feel like a little kid again the nostalgia is REAL. I used to love looking at the graphics and imagining who the sims would be lol
In my game when I played Strange town, Pascal & Vidcun was impregnated by the same Alien. Pascal has a daughter name Amethyst, and Vidcun had twins, a boy & girl name Onyx & Vetra. It was shocking and funny at the same time. LOL
I highly recomend to everyone to look at the premade sims memories. Olive Specter's memories has to be the wildest in the game. I remember the first time I went through them and how mindblown I was

Strangetown! I am excited to see this series. Your original Strangetown series inspired me to play with this neighborhood but I was not ‘a good and proper girl’ and combined it with Pleasantview and Ophelia went to college...but she is now engaged to Johnny! As I watch this I am playing the Beaker household and Loki has been cheating on Circe with clone Bella...!

The prima guide was written before we knew anything about corruption so that is why it says so. I used to play these scripted events but then I created my superdupermegahood where they unfortunately are lost. :( Also, nice hair!

I always used to play the Curious brothers first! Mainly because the house intrigued me and then afterwards it was to play with the cute alien babehs! .. the Spectors are my favourite Strangetown family though

tank coming to the birthday party makes sense a lot of sense to me because sometimes when theres little to no kids your age where you live you take what you can get, even if it sucks

@@ShinyShillaI head canon Tank was born when Buzz wasn’t a General yet but a Sergeant. And realised in his early toddler years that he will never be on the first place for his father. He was under loved kid as Buzz was always busy with his military duties and left him with his mother. And despite Tank really wants to get father’s approval and fights for it, deep down inside he doesn’t like being in military. Buzz demanded a lot from him but Tank was born shy, kind and gentle boy, in sure he suffered from his name.
I'm so damn happy. I finally got the Super Collection for my Mac today. I didn't really know about the scripted events when I was eight or so, but I really wanna do them now. Especially Pleasantview and Strangetown.
Ok so I'm like 1 week behind but legit is there more to this play order??? As a kid i never actually thought about the events in ts2 that much. Like, at all really. Aww! Thanks so much! The play order definitely helps set up the story for rotational play, which is how I like to play! I sometimes stay in the Curious house until Vidcund's baby is born before moving on, and you can also invite General Buzz over to Olive's house before she dies. He will always say Yes and that can make for some interesting story since his wife is buried on her lot....
So interesting! Learning about Sims 2 more every day. I happened to play Olive & Ophelia first & I typically don't let my sims retire so I let her continue working for a while, just invited Ophelia's love interest over instead of going out, connected the dots that Nervous Subject was Olive's long lost son from the story, brought him over, rekindled relationships, & threw a party for Ophelia, naturally Olive died then too (on platinum aspiration), but her inheritance was given in full to Nervous Subject!
I think you can only really guarantee that the scripted event will go as planned in the first household you load, since other sims can visit them and their starting wants might be rerolled while they're there. My guess as to why Nervous didn't have the fear of roaches was because it got rerolled at some point when he was on the Curious lot.
Strangtown is my favorite neighborhood! The Curious brothers are my favorite household and work at getting all three brothers to have an alien baby. Ultimately my goal is to have an alien in every Strangtown family. I also go with Nervous and Pascal as a couple, and I like the challenge of getting Johnny and Tank together. And I almost always try and give Jenny and Polination Technician #9 a 3rd child before she gets too old. :)

When I play(ed) Pascal Curious in Megahood game since 2012, Strangetown is a sub-neighborhood of Pleasantview as a main neighborhood, he gave birth to a full humanrather than half-alien.
That playing order is really interesting, maybe i'll try to play on that way. These are my stories: -All of Curious brothers have alien babies. In one my game Lazlo had twins. Pascal always have a baby girl. - In my last game I've changed Olive's destiny. She married some downtownie and adopts a Child. Her husband had a poor relationship with Ophelia so after some time she moves out. But he adored Her children (she had 3 kids with 3 different sims). - Loki and Circe adopted a Child (since his secondary aspiration is family but she is too busy to take care of baby), but after that he is abducted by aliens and has a baby boy. She has an affair with Vidcund Curious (because she realizes she still has feelings for him). After affair she gives birth to a baby boy, and Loki thinks it's his son. Nervious finds a woman for him and moves out. - Smiths had another baby boy, and Johnny moves out with Ophelia. Before they marriage, he dies of fright (graveyard!). He never meets his baby. - Tank Grunt married Erin Singles, Ripp hooks up with Ophelia after Johnny's death but he had many women. Buck Will go to the college and he'll meet love of his life- Jill Smith.

lmao, i didn't have Johnny grow up when i started my premade run. it's also my first time playing the premades. BUT it does explain why when i /did/ eventually have a party Tank showed up uninvited and had to be thrown out. we were celebrating Johnny and Jillian getting into private school!

personally i've always liked pascal having a girl so i'd name her jenny after their beloved sister, but now that i remember the boy's "canon" name, i'm fine with that too! also i remember when i was a kid i named him tomato for some reason lol
I just jumped back into The Sims 2 a couple days ago and chose Strangetown as it was the hood I played the most as a kid, I started on the Curious household but didn't follow this order after that so we'll see what happens (especially considering I sent Buck, Johnny and Ophelia to college for some additional play). I'm still on the fence about adding in the Loner and Singles households though, does it make the town more interesting?
Well, the Singles household has ties to the neighborhood so I would add them at least. Chloe and Lola are half-sisters to Johnny, Jill, Jenny, and the Curious Brothers. Erin is Loki's sister. Kristen is the only one not related to anyone in ST. I definitely think the 'hood needs the extra Sims - at least for the way I play. :)
I don’t usually play the premise sims 2 neighborhoods I like making my own neighborhoods and stories but I think I just might need to jump into Strangetown. Also I lowkey got triggered when I heard the words ‘delete ‘ and ‘tombstone’ -shudders-. So many bad memories.
I usually end up playing it alphabetically (it was unintentional but it works out) so Nervous can have his breakdown, I have time to develop the Grunts (favorite household), and everyone can be at Johnny's Birthday Party.
@@PleasantSims Would've been cool if the three other hoods had gotten scripted events. Some cool features could have been promoted that way (i.e. Aspir family with the genie lamp. Cordial family with the witches)

He was under loved kid as Buzz was always busy with his military duties and left him with his mother. And despite Tank really wants to get father’s approval and fights for it, deep down inside he doesn’t like being in military. Buzz demanded a lot from him but Tank was born shy, kind and gentle boy, in sure he suffered from his name.
I'm so damn happy. I finally got the Super Collection for my Mac today. I didn't really know about the scripted events when I was eight or so, but I really wanna do them now. Especially Pleasantview and Strangetown.

Ok so I'm like 1 week behind but legit is there more to this play order??? As a kid i never actually thought about the events in ts2 that much. Like, at all really. Honestly I'm realizing I slept on a lot of interesting stuff in that game now that I'm older. Thank you for this, I'm like. Head over heels for your channel now.
Aww! Thanks so much! The play order definitely helps set up the story for rotational play, which is how I like to play! I sometimes stay in the Curious house until Vidcund's baby is born before moving on, and you can also invite General Buzz over to Olive's house before she dies. He will always say Yes and that can make for some interesting story since his wife is buried on her lot....
So interesting! Learning about Sims 2 more every day. I happened to play Olive & Ophelia first & I typically don't let my sims retire so I let her continue working for a while, just invited Ophelia's love interest over instead of going out, connected the dots that Nervous Subject was Olive's long lost son from the story, brought him over, rekindled relationships, & threw a party for Ophelia, naturally Olive died then too (on platinum aspiration), but her inheritance was given in full to Nervous Subject!

I think you can only really guarantee that the scripted event will go as planned in the first household you load, since other sims can visit them and their starting wants might be rerolled while they're there. My guess as to why Nervous didn't have the fear of roaches was because it got rerolled at some point when he was on the Curious lot.

Strangtown is my favorite neighborhood! The Curious brothers are my favorite household and work at getting all three brothers to have an alien baby. Ultimately my goal is to have an alien in every Strangtown family.
I also go with Nervous and Pascal as a couple, and I like the challenge of getting Johnny and Tank together. And I almost always try and give Jenny and Polination Technician #9 a 3rd child before she gets too old. :)
I recently reset Strangetown because I decided I wanted to do a rotation with the premade families and this is so perfect!

When I play(ed) Pascal Curious in Megahood game since 2012, Strangetown is a sub-neighborhood of Pleasantview as a main neighborhood, he gave birth to a full humanrather than half-alien.
That playing order is really interesting, maybe i'll try to play on that way. These are my stories:
-All of Curious brothers have alien babies. In one my game Lazlo had twins. Pascal always have a baby girl.
- In my last game I've changed Olive's destiny. She married some downtownie and adopts a Child. Her husband had a poor relationship with Ophelia so after some time she moves out. But he adored Her children (she had 3 kids with 3 different sims).
- Loki and Circe adopted a Child (since his secondary aspiration is family but she is too busy to take care of baby), but after that he is abducted by aliens and has a baby boy. She has an affair with Vidcund Curious (because she realizes she still has feelings for him). After affair she gives birth to a baby boy, and Loki thinks it's his son.
Nervious finds a woman for him and moves out.
- Smiths had another baby boy, and Johnny moves out with Ophelia. Before they marriage, he dies of fright (graveyard!). He never meets his baby.
- Tank Grunt married Erin Singles, Ripp hooks up with Ophelia after Johnny's death but he had many women. Buck Will go to the college and he'll meet love of his life- Jill Smith.
Johnny always dies of fright in my game too 😭

No, you can play The Sims 3 families in any order. It doesn't have the scripted events like The Sims 2. :)

I have been playing the Sims all 24 years of my life never thought play I n your wAY its gonna be like a whole new game
I just jumped back into The Sims 2 a couple days ago and chose Strangetown as it was the hood I played the most as a kid, I started on the Curious household but didn't follow this order after that so we'll see what happens (especially considering I sent Buck, Johnny and Ophelia to college for some additional play). I'm still on the fence about adding in the Loner and Singles households though, does it make the town more interesting?
Well, the Singles household has ties to the neighborhood so I would add them at least. Chloe and Lola are half-sisters to Johnny, Jill, Jenny, and the Curious Brothers. Erin is Loki's sister. Kristen is the only one not related to anyone in ST. I definitely think the 'hood needs the extra Sims - at least for the way I play. :)

I don’t usually play the premise sims 2 neighborhoods I like making my own neighborhoods and stories but I think I just might need to jump into Strangetown.

I usually end up playing it alphabetically (it was unintentional but it works out) so Nervous can have his breakdown, I have time to develop the Grunts (favorite household), and everyone can be at Johnny's Birthday Party.
Does Veronaville or any of the other premade neighborhoods have scripted events? (Besides Pleasantview).
Yes, Veronaville also has the events. But that's it - just the three basegame 'hoods.
@@PleasantSims Would've been cool if the three other hoods had gotten scripted events. Some cool features could have been promoted that way (i.e. Aspir family with the genie lamp. Cordial family with the witches)
