#1 Proven Trumpet Course To Quickly Improve High Notes, Power, and Endurance! trumpetsizzle.com Did you know that I created what has now become the NUMBER 1 Embouchure Improvement Course Of All Time? It's true! Why not fact check it? Kurt Thompson's 16 Week Upper Register Course began in 2009 and has now (2021) been taught to well over 1000 students. Almost half of those students took the course live each week with Kurt and the other half did it on their own with the video tutorials! FACT CHECK: When trying to determine what is the BEST anything today, look for reviews, but BE CAREFUL: Written reviews can be faked, right? Still, many times we only have written reviews to go on at places like Amazon. REAL VIDEO REVIEWS BY REAL PEOPLE that got the product or became the student is the TRUE WAY to 100% fact check something. Currently there are tons of video reviews by students from 15 years of age up to 88 years of age that have had tremendous success with Kurt Thompson's Course! CHECK HERE: th-cam.com/play/PL0PQUYopKD-L2Vj0awGJK9NNY96hVFaTY.html The other method would be cash sales. NOBODY comes close to matching the record setting sales of the 16 Week Upper Register Course! NADA! If you find someone who tries to make that claim, check out their student video reviews with the student doing some playing...THEY DON'T EXIST! CAREFUL: Be leery of trumpet teachers, courses, programs that have a lot of celebrity trumpet players giving an endorsement! Almost ALWAYS that endorsement is paid or because they are friends with the teacher. Think about it: If Wayne Bergeron gave a thumbs up on some teacher's course, did he actually go through the entire course and test it out? YOU KNOW HE DID NOT! His friend showed him the course. He browsed through it. Said: Hmmm ok, looks good! BE LEERY when you see that. Nothing wrong with friends helping each other out, but for YOU the student, you can easily be misled by putting too much weight on these famous trumpet friends. I am happy to have you try to find a course that competes with the 16 Week Upper Register Course. Don't bother trying to find one that supersedes it. That won't happen. However, if you can find one that has some decent competition, leave a comment. Decent competition does not mean written reviews, celebrity reviews, or even people just talking about it. It means legit music students PLAYING and DEMONSTRATING the success they had while taking the course! You find that? Let us know! INTERESTED? You should be! Did you know you can take a small sample of the course just to get an idea if it is for you? It is only a sample. Don't expect anything from the sample, but to give you an idea of how the course is. Thanks for sharing this video, Dave is a Great Trombonist. I know him from being in the AF Band at Patrick AFB, Fla 1963-64. Like following your channel. I'm a trumpet player too. I blame my Mother for that. She rented a Cornet for me when I was 9.
it's amazing how effortlessly he executes those high notes. a few friends of mine play trumpet and bone in military bands and they're probably the most proficient collection of players U'll ever find in one place.
Dave when ever I think so that was a high note. And I find my self a great trombone player. I listen to you and start all over again. And ask my self... where went in wrong...
Tim, Great number , the eyes of love & you guys sound great and the ole boy on the trombone is hitting high notes I have never heard a trombinist hit & he must have a special lip. Too bad you didnt stay with them. Send me any more like this you may find. Keep in touch, Joe G
I assume he is using a King 2b light weight, .491 bore. That is what I play on. The high notes are easier to play for sure. This horn is a joy to play on.
+mp40jager Not to discredit from the intense time put in practicing. Sure it may be a joy to play but doesn't replace time and effort put in. I'm sure he can make any horn sound great.
🎹🎺😀I have been searching youtube for ANY trombone player of recent times that can match Dave's playing or get even just a little close...NOBODY!!! (random high notes in a jazz improv solo absolutely does not count - It is the WRITTEN high note solo like this one that makes it THE MOST difficult style/genre to play in.🎹🎺😀
Smh seems like you know little to nothing about jazz trombonist, Dave is an excellent player and love his sound, but there's others that have that range or even smoother, like bill watrous, Marshall gilkes, and small trombonist in social media, it's crazy how many young musicians there are, and they are focusing more on being musical than screaming all the time.
@@fhcidtx Hey lady you better just stick to your game boy. You aren't good enough to even put one video up of you playing tells me you have no authority to be lecturing anyone about trombone. Dave played better than Bill Watrous...I heard them both live. NOBODY since has stood out in front of a large, live audience and played a known, popular solo way up high. doodling and jazz licks DO NOT COUNT! Why? Nobody knows if you screw up! EVERYBODY knows if you screw up when a popular solo is performed. CHECK YOURSELF LADY!
folks go here :www.trumpetsizzle.com improving range is a process not a collection of watching videos. I have almost 600 videos. You can watch them all, but....YOU WILL HAVE MISSED THE PROCESS involved in my course...it's a must! You skip it? NO HIGH NOTES, NO ENDURANCE!
www.trumpetsizzle.com/trumpetcourse.html Hey don't quit band just because you got braces or having other troubles. Don't give up or get depressed because I have a brand new course just for beginners and intermediate brass players. Especially for 5th and 6th graders, but equally as important for junior high, middle school and high school band musicians too. At least one thing is on your mind: YOU DON'T WANNA SUCK!!! Check out my new course at my site: www.trumpetsizzle.com/trumpetcourse.html
Moral Dilemma I am 16 and I most definitely do not have the control and proficiency he has but at my age I am able to hit the notes that he hits on my horn, I have to say the easiest way is to NOT try to hard. You need to use the bottom of the mouthpieces in extreme register, you turn your trombone mouthpiece into a make shift trumpet mouthpiece essentially, Dave says that all of what he does is air. He isn’t wrong, on trumpet you have no room to adjust, every note is simply the speed and pressure of the air you push out, it goes the same for trombone except you have to adjust slightly to get to the register. Most people move their bottom lip inwards as the go up but to get even high you actually need to reset your lips to an even position around D
@@TRUMPETSIZZLE yes. The curved bell brace is a dead giveaway. If I remember right, it's a variation on the Jiggs Whigam model. Dave does have a Bach 12G that he recorded with during his time with the AON. Nowadays, his main axe is the Dave Steinmeyer model Martin/LeBlanc, which is a slight tweak of the TR-4501 Urbie Green. Dave would sound great on a tomato can, though.
not interesting at all: They are the Best Military Band Musicians for the Air force of the United States of America. They can come out in their underwear should they choose!!
Really? You want to say that to someone that can play like you will NEVER be able to? You can shave your fucking head, BUT nobody will give a shit...cause you ain't passing the mustard. Better respond respectfully or be banned! im serious little dude!

Dave, what a player!!! As trombone / trumpet man, amazingly sweet.
I watched him perform twice and met him this week, and I can confirm he's still got it!
yup
perfect control beautiful tone who can find fault with this? one hell of a great trombonist respect mr steinmeyer
Yes
I am most impressed by the beautiful, controlled lip vibrato he executes on the high B at the end. That's not easy.
Yup...impressive

Saw him with AON at Midwest 1984, Superb playing and musicianship.

Dave is one of my professors at UNF
very kool!
Oh I'm curious what is his special approach to the trombone and his technical thoughts on high notes?

Супер!!!!
With respect to the Bach advertisement, I have a Bach 12 and a King 2B... On this number, Dave is playing a King. lol.
hehehe well Dave sure sounds quite good even on a King, huh?
Anybody have a transcription of this solo?
Airmen of note
QUE MAESTRO
exactly
So bealtiful
What's this song?
Them from ICE CASTLES Through the eyes of love
Beautiful, lyrical trombone playing....Just curious what his set up is.
Best trombonist ever! And not a bad vocalist either!! 😉
Agree
At 3:44 the vibration of his face starts messing with the camera frame rate a bit :)
hehehe

was this taped in the 90s or something?
Probably early to mid 80's.
That looks more along the lines of like a king 2b or 3b. Maybe custom or something, but definitely not a bach.
You think so, huh?
On 2x playback it sounds like Wii sports music
not a bach 12. Its a custom King.
oh?
