      A big problem is that WOMEN are feeling and not thinking. Most men think logically except for the this new generation of male feminists that are acting like women and using feelings and emotions and not logic. That why women start off each thought and sentence with, “I just feel” “I feel like”

      There's a difference between saying that violence is a toxic aspect of masculinity which is justifiable by reference to the fact that men are more inclined to violence than women, and saying that masculinity per se is toxic. I think the speaker would have made that point if Candace hadn't kept on interrupting and talking over her. That was a good illustration of Candace's assertion that talking over people isn't a male prerogative.

      as much as i like candace owen, she says we should not say “i feel” but “i think”, imploring us to think logically. I agree with that. But then she follows with what she describes as her personal experience, her version of what she believes a man should be like, talking about anecdotes from her personal life, which is highly subjective and does follow emotions not logic. She disregards what the girl opened with, basically saying we should not reward violence, which generally there is nothing wrong with that. I haven’t listened to even close to everything in this video but already based on this premise i know that this video portrays the “feminist” as bad and owen as “logical therefor good”. From what i’ve seen here, both of them are talking about their own experiences with men shaped by their own life, which in neither cases has anything to do with logic, thinking or facts but everything to do with subjective experience of their world.

      The term "radical feminism" by definition of the word radical, means that they are fundamentally changing what it means to be feminist. There's nothing fundamentally wrong with feminism. Feminism has accomplished what it originally set out to do. Men & women are economically, politically, & socially equal! Radical feminism is solely about seizing power. Radical feminist desire to oppress men.

      I see both sides of the argument. There is still a disconnect ever present in the culture of allegations of unwanted sexual assault made by the complaining victims and it’s legitimacy/truth due to the element of shame and placing the blame on the victim. This causes so many authentic survivors of sexual assault to retreat into a dark vortex of confusion and fear mongoring with in one’s own headspace and personal space. Whether the statute of limitations has expired or not in that particular state, the pain that a true victim suffered will never expire. The lady in the audience had a strong point about that and when she tried to further elaborate, they double-teamed her. They would not have pulled that stunt with me. It would have become a very contentious atmosphere.
      On the flip side, I do concur with Candace about innocent men of color , particularly in the Deep South being subjected to awful hate crimes and met with violence of epic proportions due to that same allegation without so much as conducting a thorough investigation and ensuring that Due Process was provided to the accused. Many times I do not agree with the posture Candace takes. She and the man on the panel need to learn to listen, not interrupt and cut people the frick off while they are trying to complete their thoughts and finish their sentences in the course of a conversation and somewhat heated debate. It is a source of irritation truth be told.

      Funny how you phrased that. Typically men are stronger and they take care of the maintenance type projects. Wives have the babies and take care of the house. This is very simplistic though. Every season of life bring adjustment. If you have a true partner you take care of each other. My husband was sick for 10 years. I had to take up his slack. I studied herbalism to help cure him and did all the maintenance and homeschooled my kids and the housework. He struggled on a cane and sometimes in a wheelchair to maintain a job for income. A lot of times he was on disability until the doctors finally did what they needed to do. Between babies and stress I am now working through major health issues and he not only comes home from his job usually working overtime and does work in the house, cooks meals and does dishes, mopping etc when I can't make my body move. It's a PARTNERSHIP. The reality is he could never have the babies for me and I could not physically do some of the things he does. Most women can't. However there is a lot in life that either one can do and it's up to each couple to find what works for them in the season of life they are in. This woman you replied to is grateful for the things her husband does out of love for her just as I'm sure he is grateful for what she does for him. Playing tit for tat is what ruins marriages. Everything should be done out of love. We've been married 30 yrs this year, I consider that a successful partnership.

      I how Candace defines that exactly as the problem at the very start by saying, "You started by saying, 'I feel like' and it's really important that we know what you 'think' like....because a big problem is that people are feeling and they're not really thinking anymore." It's clear that Candace has dealt with several of these posh virtue signalers who believe that feeling is the same thing as thinking. The more the panel begs her for facts, the more generalizations she throws out. Whenever the "feminist" was confronted with a factual example that disproves her "feelings" she would cry, "That's hyperbole." This is what now passes for modern liberal debate. I bet she would have gone straight to ad hominem attacks had it not been for two of her opponents being black women.

My mother commented that, if anything, my BIL allowed my sister to conduct her life on her own terms too much; he always supported her choices.
    My parents were 60 years married this year. Two months ago, I watched my dad comfort my mum as they walked away from the graveside of her last surviving sibling. Arm around her shoulder, holding an umbrella to protect her from a downpour.
    That sister never got over the death of her husband ten years ago; on her deathbed, she said to my mum, "I'm going to heaven to see David; I'll see you when you get there."

I recall them telling me that his wife acted like a server, bringing food and drinks to everyone but not participating in the social. I thought the whole thing was disgusting when they told me.
    Years later my husband had some of his buddies over to watch a game or something, I can't tell you how much pleasure it brought me to bring them drinks and food while he was entertaining them. I wasn't really interested in participating. I loved him and it was something caring that I could do, and it truly felt great to do so.

Her family is mostly a bunch of females...but I waited on all of them as if I was their male servant. They loved it. It was the first time I had ever been subservient to a bunch of women (and the last) but it meant the world to my girlfriend. She treated me like an absolute king for months after that just because of a simple act of kindness for her.

When he has his friends over to watch the game, I love making food for them and serving them. Especially as long as I don’t have to sit down and watch the game. I don’t have that kind of patience, LOL.
      I have a friend who’s husband gets up very early for work and she has made a point of getting up to pack his lunch and make breakfast. SHE made that choice for their relationship. He does not demand it. He works very hard to provide for the family and she recognizes that. She has been ridiculed for “serving” her husband by another female friend who incidentally is divorced. She keeps doing it though and I’m proud of her for not caving to ridicule and peer pressure.

    So as a woman there are points to both sides of the argument. Growing up in Africa many women are marginalised. There is a level of patriarchy that exists and in some cases has extended to a boardroom. While candace does have great points it doesnt take away the reality that there are very few women in leadership positions in corporate and unfortunately in many developing countries and especially middle east and africa. However with this said men and masculinity and the role of the father archetype is becoming more absent which does creates a different beast, dads show us how to take risks and as a woman it can also define our romantic relationships growing up. Masculinity has a place in society and we should be celebrating this in a way that does not mean opressing females.

      @Tom toddle cite your source that says married women die sooner than single ones without kids. What Candice is saying is that women choose and gravitate towards the family life, it’s a natural choice for most. Men are much more likely to be murdered or incarcerated than women, they are also much more likely to work a dangerous and stressful job. And you have no idea what most married men do with respect t to caring for there kids along side their wives. I don’t know one married couple where both are working and only the wife takes care of the house and kids, that nonsense, I do however know many guys who work endless overtime while the wife enjoys a quite house while the kids are in school! I guess that’s toxic masculinity, sounds great.
      Of course no mention of toxic feminism where women constantly complain about men and make fake sexual assault claims and have men thrown in jail for crimes they didn’t commit.

    • @nicvanorton6795
      @nicvanorton6795 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Tom toddle I’d love to see the scope of these studies, but either way it’s a personal choice that has nothing to do with masculinity and a lot to do with the self serving nature of people as a whole in the younger generation. Same reason they are having less children and don’t take care of their aging parents anymore, preferring to put them in a retirement facility.

    • @nicvanorton6795
      @nicvanorton6795 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Tom toddle I think you're greatly underestimating the death toll on men due to work related causes. Death on the job is only one category, then there are causes such as stress and disease (such as heart disease and alcoholism) from this jobs that effect said men well after retirement, if they make it that far. Lastly, there is a suicide rate for men, often from stresses of high risk occupations, which is significantly higher than for women as a whole. Speaking of which, women will not have to worry about a military draft even though they can vote and send a country to war.
      With respect to sex assault claims, its almost exclusive to women. Its been weaponized in society, it was seen on full display with the Kavanaugh hearing. Despite not one piece of evidence, and evidence to the contrary, it almost derailed his appointment to the SCOTUS. This "Me Too" movement is a WMD, even those who don't go to jail suffer irreparable harm from merely an accusation, and of course we must believe "women" as if they are the sex that doesn't lie. There are countless innocent men in jail because of this and others who are unemployed or ostracized from the accusations and there's no stats on that.
      Most college graduates are women and the EEOC is standing by to place them into positions whether they are qualified or not. They still enjoy affirmative action despite the fact that discrimination being illegal for decades and the fact that women in America are the majority and not the minority.
      They usually make out much better in a divorce and often walk away with far more then they came into the marriage with, including absurd child support rates that are a percentage of the total amount of the man's income, that isn't adjusted according to the man's salary. So for 2 kids it could be 26% of 50k or, say 250k. It sure as hell doesn't take 65k a year to cloth and feed two kids!
      The fact of the matter is that women have it pretty damn good in America, much better than men and if they happened to make less at a certain job its very likely its because of their personal decisions.
      I personally think having/raising kids is the most important job, but modern day feminism (a lot like the nit wit in this video) has made it seem unimportant and beneath women. And with respect to your statistic information, when single women are being polled, do you think they're going to tell anyone they are miserable. People like that (not all) often feel hollow as the years go by, no companion or kids. they're career ends and they were sold a bill of goods that didn't quite work out. The modern feminist movement is no longer about equality, because there is no more fight on that front, it's about g=hating men and complaining about "toxic masculinity".

    In literally all forms of modern media, men are no longer 'allowed' to contradict women. "When men interrupt it's because you're a woman, but when you interrupt it's because you have a differing opinion." Ms Owens, I love you.

    As soon as someone says ‘emotional labour’ you know they’re about power through rhetoric, not equality.

      Dated a feminist back when I thought it was righteous to trust the brainwashing. She told me to read this huge packet on emotional labor that basically amounted to "thinking is work so shut up and do everything I want"
      She later got fat and tried turning into a man after I broke up with her lol

    The first time I was introduced to Candice was this video years ago and I was young then and everywhere online girls were talking about “toxic masculinity” and I never related to it because I don’t know any man like that in my life when I took a second look to try and understand lol

    I didn't think this young lady is the type of feminist Candace is debating over. She's trying to explain herself but keeps getting talked over by Candace and the dude.

      She is that type of feminist. Simply because she doesn’t use any information any facts or any proof to say the things she’s saying against men. And ps the only reason she can even call herself a feminist is because men in the beginning had to fight for that with u. Otherwise no one would care
