    Jose is the type of queen the key for having that amount of bees? What type of queen you have in your boxes? Those boxes are full of bees 🐝

    • @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper
      @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The key is well mated queens. You can have the same breed but if it's not mated with enough young drones. One of the reasons why we ensure our queens are handled by veteran queen catchers that have years in solely queen catching. Our team of 3 catchers has over 34 years experience in queen production. We know what to look for and NEVER hesitate to pinch a queen if she's not good enough for our own hives. We have Italians and our Hybrids in this video. There was a few Carniolans that will blow up in population soon. They usually are a week or two behind our other stocks

    Can you make more clips about the almond pollination process?
    Contracts, duration, what is required, rules , minimum grade , who does the grading? How does one get a pollination contract? Broker vs no broker.. how does one get into pollination biz … does and donts..
    this would be very helpful to those of us trying to to dabble into the pollination game

    • @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper
      @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I just recorded a couple of videos of moving in and one feeding the bees where I dive into different things about pollination. Also may do one where I talk about almond pollination.

      I've never seen that prebiotic before. Could you tell us a bit more...the brand, dosage, why and what your data is that makes you believe it is useful

    • @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper
      @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The dietary fiber prebiotics acacia gum, inulin, and fructooligosaccharides. In my opinion it's something that helps the bees have a healthier digestive system as we pump them with sugar feed. We also want to make sure they stay cleansed because of the amount of almond pollen that is being used for bee bread. No data just my common knowledge of the bees digestive system.

    Keep up the great work Jose. I really enjoy these videos it shows me a side of beekeeping I haven't seen much of yet. You should take a look at the new Global patties that use Apis Biologix in them, that's the Rocket Fuel Ian uses. Thank you much, Blessed Days Jose.

  • @mattmoore7796
    @mattmoore7796 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It looks like you are using frames feeders in the upper and lower boxes. Is that right? What advantage does that provide versus just 1?

    • @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper
      @TheCaliforniaBeekeeper  ปีที่แล้ว

      that’s a great question Matt. The reason why we have double feeders, it prepares us for the spring, for an immediate split also allows us to crank the feed, while, in full bloom to get the queen, extremely stimulated with the amount of nectar, and feed coming into the colony. we will be going in a couple days to under super meaning. We will add a shallow high body at the bottom for when we split that colony will remain with the queen and top super will be removed and loaded onto a truck when we are allowed to take Bees upon being released from the almond grower
