You can see Bowie on the stage and the rehearse Heroes twice, however the camera zooms in on this and you can only see Roger Taylor. Bowie does appear near the end sax in hand. Bowie is in the purple suit. - บันเทิง
I was at the tribute concert. It's been fascinating to watch it gain almost an mythical-like status in the last 30+ years.
when you come across gems like this on TH-cam - absolutely awesome - Legends
In the history of the world, there is only one other person that can walk on water…..the great David Bowie…..we all miss you, pal !
Right behind Brian Eno of course!

@@partyguinness The great William Shakespeare would eloquently tell you “ intercourse thee “ …..
Roger Taylor is so cool.
That rehearsal/soundcheck really paid off as the live version of Heroes is Bowie and Ronson's (not forgetting the rest of Queen of course) best live performance of the song ever. I've watched that video over and over again on TH-cam and it still sends shivers down my spine every time.
David's Voice ❤
Behind the scenes, sound checks are what the fans never get to see. Many thanks!!!
And how unfortunate for them it is. Some of the best performances I ever heard when I was doing this kind of work 40+ years ago were the sound checks. It was at times like these the musicians could really cut loose.
I have seen some sound checks myself and must say you get to see how tempermental an artist can be and rightly so.@@quentenjones3626
Incredible that this has surfaced so many years later. Thank you x
Mick Ronson's contributions as a classically trained musician along with his uniquely original guitar technique, instrument of choice and monsterously aggressive guitar riffs, string arrangements, compositions etc.-not to mention production engineering capabilities are what defined Bowie's legacy in the anuls of Rock & Roll-and his stage prowess and showmanship often eclipsed Bowie's during performances-point being that Mick Ronson at the very least, deserves equal credit for the David Bowie icon and legendary status that exists now and forever- for those in complete unawares..I cant imagine an existance without the music these 2 giants amongst men contributed to my wasted youth..I am truly blessed to have experienced it all in the moment..R.I.P. Mick Ronson and David Bowie
Saw mick Ronson with mott the Hoople
Totally agree with you.
Mick was the best 🌹
Ty !!! David's voice is so powerful!!🎶💎🎤🎷🎸🥁💜
Amazing to watch. Thank you deeply to be able to see real legends do what they do best..... and to all the unknown people behind the scenes that make this type of amazing thing happen 😊
I was one of the production co-ordinators, I was on that stage when the sound checked happened, got a great picture of David, sax and fag in mouth, real camera, had a pager back in them days haha. Such a gent! Never seen this, thank you for sharing it. Shame you can't see David. Stunning few days and incredibly emotional journey.
Do you have any idea if this show will be officially released on c.d.?!
even in a rehearsal bowie the trooper gives his all would of been nice to been with ya rusty shame i was elsewhere 🤩
@@alexkx8599the DVD is available I believe, edited. I think the entire day is available on certain auction site.
What do you mean : shame u can't see David ?! Who's the skinny dude in the purple suit ?
I could listen to this forever
So I am sitting here with lap top on knee, clapping in time, and my dog is on my right barking her head off and wagging her tail in some kind of unison and it is 2024... David sounds amazing as usual, that unexpectedly deep voice, especially when you can't see him. Love and miss you Bowie every day.
This is great....especially seeing and hearing the amazing Mick Ronson paying lead guitar. Thanks for posting.
I wonder why Robert Fripp wasn't there? He came up with that original guitar sound and played on the 'Heroes' track.
Iteration artist ! Bowe the best.
Holy shit, this is incredible stuff. Thanks a lot for uploading this treasure.
Amazing, lucky enough to see David Bowie in the Winter Gardens Weston-super-Mare 1970 ❤
Thanks for the video of the eternal Legend of the unique David Bowie🫴❤️
Great...but why am I staring at Queen's drummer instead of Bowie ?...how lame .
@@stephenbrown7545 why can't you just be happy that more footage of this unique event has surfaced with amazing live audio from Bowie? Maybe you should've applied to film it all yourself back in '92
I would have done a better job that is for sure.
@@stephenbrown7545 it wasn't a concert registration. Someone happened to have a camera running during the rehearsals of a Queen event and focused the camera on Roger Taylor. Quit bitching
What an amazing gifted artists who's music will last centuries
Wow so nice to see huge pre show sound check by total professionals, that was a privilege to see awesome.
Kinda shows exactly why they were so good ❤️
Hello Chris, how are you doing today
@@MarieBrunette-gk2os good thanks great !
Wonderful piece of history! :D
Wow. Everything is so much better than the concert version - vocals, mix and playing.
This is outstanding.
Appreciate you putting these up. One day I would hope to know who you are. I was only young when the only record shop owner in town said to me a fantastic record has come in, you've got to hear it. He loved playing it, to fill the shop with the sound. I bought it that day. There had never been anything like it. Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.
Owned it since it came out, played the grooves off of it, fantastic lp.
Roger Taylor is tecking his own drums!
Bowie walked on water, in the early years, because, Ronson WAS the water. The talent, the tide, the wind......and Bowie used it all. Rono, so underrated underrated.
rock shows sounded so good back then... I don't know how the in ear/silent stage trend ever came to be.
I love this song.😊
Just Brilliant. Thank You
David 💝

🐬
Fantastic piece of musical history by legends on both sides of the stage thanks❤
Thanks for this fantastic post……David did an extended sound check for the crowd waiting for gates to open outside the Sydney Showground early 80’s( The Angels opened the show that evening) ; told us we deserved it for waiting in the sun for so long. Gave us the full range of his amazing voice. Losing him was like we lost a colour🥲
Just great musician! Rest in Peace Freddie and David!
I love the rehersals soundcheck...Thanks👏
David Bowie ❤️🙏
Saw him in Madrid on his
Sound &vision tour

Thanks for this! I’m always happy to see the videos you post and would love to see more!

Amazing drummer, you would swear you hear David Bowie singing and some guitar players but it's just him, the drummer, doing it all.
OMG - Bowie's voice - damn
Thanks for the interesting views during the Soundcheck.....
Jus' PURE british BLISS ❤ Wat @ WONDERFUL BOUNTY of TALENTED ARTISTS EXISTS in our Little Isle ! Absolutely 💯 % 😢😊
How I still miss him.
Fabulous gift, first time I hear this. Thank You very much.
Actually Bowie's vocal performance here was much better than the night of the tv show broadcast (where he even forgot the lyrics and had to repeat a line twice.)
He's good at that
And just two months before they became married . I believe I’ve been at least 1/2 as happy for some months in my life. And they had years. Amazing love between them , eh ?
Ha, I've played that Kit! (*and* that Guitar!... ). What an absol. sweetie Roger Taylor is!... 🥰🙏 x
Roger‘s drums sound beyond fantastic! My god!
Damn right!
Vzácné, krásné, stále živé a velmi, velmi děkuji ❣️

This is a gem was a great concert it just worked perfectly don't think any other tribute gig could top this Hero's was the only non Queen song played and Annie Lennox with Bowie 😮😮
What about All the Young Dudes with Bowie Ronson and Hunter

I was at the gig that night, Thanks for sharing!!
I thought the Tomas Dalby on keyboards version was 'hard to beat' ! This is still very good!
Wow!!! 💕 ✨️ Tak skal du have 💕 ✨️

Nice to see Roger sporting a pair of Rayban Clubmasters Got a pair of them very nice sunglasses
2 of the best ever
Can you make sure someone gets the physical copies of videos you speak of?!
Awesome
Gone far too soon. RIP, David!
Maybe they didn’t have permission to shoot Bowie on this, or just a test for the camera dedicated to the drums?
Excellent.....
I have the full concert plus many other bits on VHS
Thank you so much! Where the hell did this come from? Is there more footage? I was there that day and also at this soundcheck!!!!
There’s something magical about 80s…they don’t compromise,,for any commercial freak..they just ethically magically create..and flow tru 90s…the latter homers couldn’t catch their Olympic flames
I'm sure I saw DB there at some point 😂
wow Sir Brian was All OVER that one...shezzz
Extraordinario maravilloso excelente
No lords prayer at the end! Really was unrehearsed then.
Passagem de som maravilhosa👏👏👏👏👏👏
Bowie 😵💫
Quite the drumming
I dont care how many records they to day have on all the charts.. this is real music!
WOW-Where did ya Find THIS?
We are all heroes 🙌
Good rehearsal but would have been better if it showed Bowie singing instead of the 2 Queen members throughout
Oui, j'ai regardé et espéré en vain !

Bowie begged mick Ronson to come back and do another song we didn’t know he was so poorly at the time I was there and I’m from hull micks home land
What poorly nonsense ?
?
Thanks for sharing - Mick was one of Hull's finest. - he was a very crucial part of my fave Bowie songs, not least Life On Mars and Starman.
