My 12 year old son is fishing a middle school tournament at Lanier in Feb 2025. I am the captain for him & his buddy. Never been on Lanier. We are putting in at Laurel Park. Any tips on techniques / locations for a 12 year old to catch’em?
Very cool! February is a fun time on lanier. It will be winter time patterns maybe early pre spawn. Laurel is way up the river but I would head down bellow browns bridge if you want a chance to win. I have a number of winter time videos up on my channel. I would check those out for lures and techniques!
@@demboyzfishin1389 depends on what side of the lake you are on but I would say vans tavern or Charleston park. They are both central lake so you could go up or down for practice.
@@campetro10no his partner couldn't fish so he let me I don't know If you remember but the I was the kid who won the rod at the Friday night b Meeting
@@Bomb.products we got 12th we struggled. super tough day and we didn't adjust right in the afternoon. but that is fishing. congrats to him! that was a tough tournament the weights were very close.
Wow well done. Dialed in!
Love the big spots, I chase them in a different venue, being a small creek in NW AL. A lot of info here, much appreciated....
Do a recap with baits rods reels and how you were fishing them. Awesome videos keep them coming super nice bag of spots
thank you! I think you will enjoy the video dropping Wednesday👍
The reason you broke that fish off is because of the banana on the boat 😂.
😂
😂 i think it might be good luck!
I was about to say the same thing

What kind of boat are you fishing out of here?
This was out of my tournament partner's boat and it is a Skeeter ZXR 21.
i fished this with my grand pa we had about 8 pounds
Very cool! It’s a fun tournment trail. Bummer on the fish lanier can be a brutal lake at times. Have you fished any of the other FOM events?

I can't believe that you are having and eating banana in the boat during the tournament.
testing the luck!
You broke off that big one cause you were eating a fucking banana
He's eating that banana on your boat that's why you're starting having problems
😂
Broke off right as you had a banana…
😂 coincidence? i don't know!
