gobskin should certainly be mentioned here, as well as eating food for the extra hp and damage. gobskin under healer mimic and basic instinct is basically a 33% hp sheild, which is more than strong enough to stomache any shb spell dungeon boss attack on its own other than the hero gauntlet berserker party stack.
Add in Bad Breath, Addle, Magic Hammer or any other damage reduction spell/ability on top of Gobskin and even Spectral Berserker's stack becomes survivable without Diamondback. But Gobskin really carries.
Was about to post this, but yeah gobskin has definitely helped me alot with surviving and managing! For those who are looking for this spell, it's obtained from a level 60 A Rank called Slipkinx Steeljoints (open world) for (duty) it can be obtained from Alexandrian Hider and Alexandrian Slider, in Alexander Breath of the Creator, normal as well. So latter is likely the best option!
Others have mentioned it but gobskin really makes a lot of the busters easier to manage. Angel's snack is also very useful because each tick is almost as powerful as a pom cure every 3 seconds for 15 seconds. It's invaluable on fights where you have to take out adds in a limited time (like the cosmos second boss) and would otherwise be preoccupied with healing, and is almost mandatory for soloing treasure maps when they summon minions at 70% to not get overwhelmed. I'd also note that while you can eventually run out of platforms on Therion, the beam attack is actually survivable on a normal tank character and you can probably just diamond back through it if you need to.
Can certaily recommend bringing moonflute and trident to practice at least the opener on the bosses, even if it means wiping once or twice. Thanks for the guide! Very helpful to kick things off at any level. o/
Great video! They also added a 600 potency self-heal in Shadowbringers that you can learn from lvl 70 mobs in Amh Araeng so you can use it with Aetheric Mimicry (Tank) instead of Pom Cure for extra endurance.
This is what I did for soloing all the dungeon spells. I definitely wont claim that it's better, since you don't really have an "oh shit" button outside of swiftcast, but if you're using Dragon Force, Devour, and Diamondback well then you never need the oh shit button since you're taking less damage from autos.
Whistle nightbloom, breath of magic and the new Neverending fire really are my favorites to blast through the blu challenges nowadays with good old turtle mode. Will try some of the dungeons solo i guess :)
I see big watery thing and a beeg laser. I think Leviathan and Bahamut... I just unlocked BLU because a certain someone said "If you can do it, and so can I!" I'm still in the leveling process, but seeing that big water thing and the beeg laser make me excited to make it to 80!
worth mentioning, the FIRST dungeon you should do at 80 is the Grand Cosmos... get another DoT, that lasts the entire fight. Also, you can solo pretty much everything... not just 4-man stuff. Theres a few tricky fights to solo sync that require 50% echo farming... but I haven't found a spell I can't do solo
If your trying to get something from the dungeon then going with a lvl 90 is usually going to be faster. The big thing with doing solo dungeons synced with blue mage is that you can get spells from those dungeons guaranteed.
a list of what bosses need a boot to the head... I mean, flying sardine... , what ones need eerie soundwave, and what ones need exuviation would be nice.
So it depends on the fight. I did actually test this an I was able to do ruby phase 1(only need phase 1 for the spell) without much difficulty, but something like titania I don't know if you can do solo
How hard is shadowbringer trials? I was able to sync solo tsukuyomi and hell's kier. I really look forward to dancing plague and immaculate crown If they can be soloed
I didn't solo them, but if I had to make an educated guess. Plague is likely the hardest to do solo because of the add phase while ruby is likely the easiest because you only have to do phase one to get the spell. The others would be somewhere in the middle.
i just got my bluemage to level 65 today and oh boy... you're right about ram's voice and the ultra skil... those are insane for solo especially you cant queue up with people haha
@@TheZenaku69 the potency from the new spells might still help regardless, gogo is not the easiest but i’m sure you can do it if you keep at it and try to see where to improve at it

Very useful guide! Gives me the confidence to try the Shadowbringers dungeons solo! Thanks!

The second boss in Grand Cosmos can be missile'd or death'd
Really appreciate these kinds of videos. I love that BLU can solo content, and this makes me want to go out and try it :)

Yeah, but because of the longer cast time you have to be much more preemptive with your heals. With pom cure you just go oh crap and hit the button.
@@TheNastyNamazu haha sounds like me today in Variant dungeon on my dps. Thanks for the video!
@@TheNastyNamazuyea that heal is bad

What’s echo farming?
Is it worth to solo them for farming or does it take longer than a lvl 90 job?

My big question is can you apply these same principles to the ShB Raids and Trials that hold spells?
So it depends on the fight. I did actually test this an I was able to do ruby phase 1(only need phase 1 for the spell) without much difficulty, but something like titania I don't know if you can do solo
Can you make a guide like this on how to get the Gentleman’s Umbrella? Please and thank you🙏
Just got it last night so maybe
thought it wasn't possible till i saw this
Heal with rehydration if using tank mimicry.

Does each spell drop to 100% ?
If you do any instance level synced as blue mage than any spell found within will have a 100% drop rate
@@TheNastyNamazu
OK thats good to hear but if I go unsync in SHB Dungeons - theres no guarantee that it will drop at the first try right?
@@h.g.buddne7327 Yes, that's the generally idea. Without syncing it's only a chance. Though dungeons spells tend to have a decent drop rate anyways.

No mortal flame?
It’s for soloing shb dungeons….so naturally you wouldn’t have mortal flame on the first dungeon, LMAO
You would have to do the dungeon first to get it, but yeah if you want to do cosmos after matoya's or just do it first then its a good addition
@@TheNastyNamazu its super useful for the chicken fight in armauot. Itll continue ticking even when the boss is gone
Unfortunatly the "Solo" stuff brings zero logs :/
Can't beat Gogo, so blue mage is dead for me. stuck with a lvl 50 weapon
get all the spells and the new gear he should be a lot easier for you.
@gamermasterL it syncs it down to his lvl though
