The “Grammar Lessons for Absolute Beginners” has got to be the best supplementary study material to GENKI. Actually, I might have learned more from Misa than from the GENKI book. Thank you Misa for taking the time to make these videos for us. Much much much appreciated.

Exactly! Im studying under a teacher who is AMAZING as well btw. but he's going at the pace of the genki book, and I'm studying with Misa's videos while at work since I cant study genki, and I keep really surprising him by getting way ahead of the book lol xD

if we put the numbers together and calculate the diffusive force of the sun we get that a horse in florida is giving birth at this very moment, taking that with the fact that I what I just said makes no sense

Knowing TE form really unravels a lot of the mysteries with Japanese and fills in a bunch of gaps.
And now knowing I can comfortably omit a bunch of particles in casual speech is a relief as well.

In italian we would say "La terza volta è quella buona" literally meaning "The third time is the good one", I know people came here to study japanese so they don't care about this but I said it anyway XD

In Canada at least, I think it's pretty common for people when they meet up to ask "were you waiting long?" or "I hope I didn't keep you waiting!" And then the person would usually reply with "no, I just got here!" (often even if they were waiting for a while). This seems to be similar to how you describe 「待った?」「ぜんぜん」in japanese.
Thanks for the great lesson! These videos are very clear and make it easy to remember all of the new ideas, and when you repeat vocabulary from past lessons it helps them stick in my brain!

Wonderful lesson, Misa Sensei. Arigatou. Now I know what it means when ALL MIGHT says, "Watashi ga KITA." "I came/arrived/I am here." :D

14:22 if you show up before or at the time agreed upon, there’s no need to ask if they waited. So no, we never do because if they were already there, we assume that they got there 5 or 10 minutes before the agreed time and not 30+ minutes ahead of time.
