Shed to House ~ 1 Year Anniversary, A Look Back

- With Spring Break this week, we took a break from the shed to house build. Since it is the one year anniversary of when I bought my land and started this journey, I decided to take a look back and see how far we have come. And how far we still have to go! I included costs for most of the big items, those will be different for different locations and situations but hopefully it will give you an idea at least, if you're considering doing something similar.

You should have used "mini split" a/c heat units
That's the plan for spring. Unfortunately, it wasn't an option through the builder and I thought the PTAC would be okay, but after the summer we just had, I'm definitely going to save up for a mini split! Thanks for watching! ❤️

I love your shed to house!! Love your land and am grateful you're showing all that you're going thru to complete your home. This is something I've thought about but where I live I'm not certain it would be the best move. Great video. May I ask what was the reason for an aerobic septic?
Hi there, absolutely! After the soils test, there was too much clay in the soil so they would only approve an aerobic system for that reason. If it was sandy I could have gone with a conventional system. Thanks for the question! 😊

It's not half filled. I don't know ... that's how Derksen did it 🤷♀️

Hey there, good for you! My shed came from the Derksen factory in Woodville.
Did you have any issues getting permits?
The only permits I had to get here in my county were for the driveway/culvert and for the septic system. Thankfully! 😊
How did you get your shed to be under residential coding ?
I'm outside city limits, there's no zoning. 🙂
How much was the electrical upgrade?
The electric package was $700, and thats 2 exterior lights and 4 outlets if I remember right. And then they charge per outlet and per light after that, I don't recall how much each.
