      Enemy horns have different utilities for specific weapon types:
      Bokoblin Horns: Swords / Reapers
      Lizal Horns: Spears
      Moblin Horns: Blunt Two Handed Weapons
      Hinox / Stalnox Horns: Boulder Crushing
      Horriblin Horns: Mineral Deposits
      Lynel Saber Horns: High Tier Swords
      Lynel Mace Horns: High Tier Two Handed Blunt Weapons
      Boss Bokoblins Horns: Axes for cutting down trees
      Any one handed sword can also destroy mineral ores in one hit, as long as it deals 40 damage or higher in one swing because that is the base amount of HP that all mineral deposits have.

    • @aprinnyonbreak1290
      @aprinnyonbreak1290 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Incidentally, the Hinox toenail has this quality too, and will chop trees. The tier 1 boss boko horn does NOT have the axe quality
      And the Lynel hoof is also a good hammer or ore miner, and are basically useless otherwise
      Aaaaand the Molduga jaw is notable for having the highest damage potential of all weapon attachments with Bone Weapon Proficiency, on top of a base weapon modifier
      Aaand the Soldier Construct 3 horn has no special qualities besides being cutting, but, when fused to the master sword, has a nearly perfect damage benchmark to do all utility applications of weapons in one hit (mining, tree cutting, ect) while being fairly low value besides

    One cool thing about the dragon scales is that you have to walk really far away for them to despawn. You can attach them to zonai devices and the devices will behave the same way as the scale, taking more of a distance to despawn. This even works with the auto build version of the scales.

    • @aprinnyonbreak1290

      Brightbloom seeds don't care how far away you are, they don't despawn unless you do something that unloads things, or throw enough after sticking your vehicle that it is removed. I don't know what that limit is, but it is hours of depths exploration long.
      It also costs no zonaite, doesn't contribute to the attatch limit, and generates light, which is helpful at night or in the depths, especially if your vehicle rolls away into the dark.
      It's also indestructible unless the part it sticks to is destroyed, cannot be detached by any amount of force. It can be attatched ad-hoc to any vehicle, unattatched complex component, piles of weapons you are wheeling home, mirrors, or anything you don't want to respawn for a while.
      Also you already have hundreds of the things.

    The three classes of weapons have hidden damage modifiers: one-handed weapons have a 1.0x attack modifier (meaning they deal exactly the amount of damage the game says they do), two-handed weapons have a 1.05x attack modifier (5% more damage than what the game says), and spears have a 0.75x attack modifier (25% less damage than what the game says!).

      Also, _fused items_ and the _attack up modifier_ are 1.05x effective on 2H weapons, rounded down, and 0.75x effective on spears, rounded up.

    A useful trick which can be used is elemental gems on master sword : when you shoot a beam with it you will also shoot an elemental projectile, an other quit interesting thing is fusing elemental lizalfos horns to an eightfold longblade : the regular wind slash that the weapon make will be turned into an elemental one which is crazy strong

    I like how depending on the kind of material it removes the blade of your weapon or tries to add into it. Sometimes it just looks silly like with molduga wings, but sometimes you get neat things, like an axe if you fuse a hinox nail to a one handed melee weapon, or something idk how to say in english if you fuse it with a spear. I specially like how it seems intended to have some of them look suspiciously designed for some weapon, like gleok horns and royale claymore, or blue moblin horns and that weapon that Yunobo uses.
    I like horns because when they remove the blade, they have conveniently the form to replace it and look cool.

      The Term you're looking for the Stone-fused-Spear variants is *a Glaive* - designed with a Curved Blade out front, rather than a Pointed Tip.
      And with the lower number of Yiga BladeMasters in Overworld Ambushes, you're best to Fuse Dragon Horns to your Longblades - they provide the highest Elemental Damage Buff to the Blade Wave attack, and all look awesome to boot!

      Silver boko horns cut trees for me, but I haven't tried the other types.

    • @aprinnyonbreak1290
      @aprinnyonbreak1290 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are three factors that go into tree cutting
      First, weapon sharpness, a weapon has to be sharp to cut trees at all, but any kind of sharpness will help. Spears DO NOT ever acquire this when used as a base, and cannot cut trees or grass, though they can when used as an attachment.
      Second, damage, I forget the threshold but trees have a certain amount of "health" that cutting weapons deplete when they strike them. Deplete this health, and the tree falls over, whether that takes 1 hit or 10
      Third, the tree cutting tag, which specifically comes from the axehead rocks, Blue, Black, and Silver Boss Boko horns, and Hinox toenails. They apply a multiplier for damage vs trees (and things like wooden boxes), I forget the multiplier, but it's pretty substantial.
      Iirc two handed weapons in general also get a damage multiplier against all objects as well. A two handed sword will just chop down a tree or break ore in fewer hits than an identical one handed sword, even factoring the 5% damage buff.
      Incidentally, the quality that lets rocks mine better is a similar flag to tree chopping, not every blunt weapon has it. Notably, Lynel Hoofs are an item that does, and are basically useless for any other purpose, though all Horriblin horns have it as well

    One thing I wanted to add about dragon horns (and their respective gems) is that they do have elemental effects like freezing enemies when used fused to a shield in a shield bash attack, unlike their respective fruits.
    Also, raw meat and drumsticks freeze and cook automatically if fused to a weapon/shield and the player is on fire or frozen, but they fall off immediately. You can fuse em right back on but they don't do anything special

    • @SaturninePlaces

      frozen meat works like the sled and carts when fused to shields, allowing you to shield surf more easily and faster than normal. Only works with the more flat foods like fish and meat (and crabs for some reason).

    The best way to keep a vehicle from despawning is to fuse a dragon part to it. I just use the one that spawns on their backs. It goes up to like 2,000 units (because they fall from the sky, so link can get to them). Pro tip: you can move an item up the "most used" tab by spam fusing it to an arrow. Love these videos, thanks!

    Note on blade replacement:
    Only Sharp horns (boko, lizal, etc) on 1H & 2H swords will replace the "blade", leaving only the hilt & horn. This often means a shorter reach: Claymore + Silver Lizal = a really short 2H sickle.
    Blunt horns keep the whole base weapon & get glued to its tip, keeping the base weapon's reach.
    Spears keep their reach with everything, as Sharp Horns only replace the spearhead.
    So I typically save Sharp horns for spears, and Blunt horns for 1H/2H swords.
    (also Master Sword remains Master Sword-shaped no matter what's fused)

    • @aprinnyonbreak1290
      @aprinnyonbreak1290 ปีที่แล้ว

      Blue Lizal and Silver Lynel Saber horns are both longer range than most weapons you can attatch them to.
      I'm also pretty sure the Boss Boko 1 horn and Blue Moblin horn are weird outliers to their chains that behave like "swords" and don't have the standard features of their lines, but it's been a minute since I did that and could be misremembering.

    2:14 reigniting elemental talus’s isn’t something you’d want to do, but it’s good to know in case you’re using a talus heart on weapons. If you attack an igneo talus with an igneo talus heart, it triggers the reignition, making you unable to kill it as quickly (took me way too long to figure out why this was happening to me)

    Speaking of bone proficiency, you can one-cycle a silver lynel.
    Get a molduga jaw and attach it to an attack up +10 royal guard claymore, then get it down to 1 durability. It won't break while mounted to a lynel. Get bone proficiency and eat attack up 3 meal. Stun the lynel and mount it. 6 hits while mounted and it's dead.
    For each weaker variant, subtract 1 from the number of hits. 5 for white maned lynel, 4 for blue maned lynel, and 3 for red lynel. Be careful not to press Y too many times or you'll do a jump attack after killing the lynel and break your lynel bonker.

Horriblins are hammers, lizalfos are swords, boss bokoblins are axes, bokoblins are spears/tridents, talus and lynels are self explanatory, hinox are hammers(?). I'm not sure about moblins. It also seems that silver variants don't follow this.

I believe you can walk around 2000 meters away from a part without it despawning. using ultra hand to attach dragon parts to any object gives the entire object the 2000 meter render distance. it's also possible to use the zonite version of dragon parts (using auto build without the actual item) for the same effect. love ur content keep it up
