I used your vid to do a fairing install on my ThrxRS. Thank you! Three things I would say to anyone doing one: 1. Take plenty of pics of the up close detail of the wiring inside the headlight housing to make it easier to fit them back in. 2. The turn signal wiring/extension could use a bit of rejacketing to get more "split" between left and right where it drops down to the signals themselves. That made is easier for me. 3. Use locktite green on the fairing to fairing subframe bolts as my bike (given it's a bit modded so maybe that makes it worse) vibrated loose and I lost one screw at some point before catching it and retorqueing them.
Great video. The fit on this kit is not exactly precision, but it's as good as it will come. I did a couple things differently... I loosened the main wiring harness on the left side of the frame to give the ends as much slack as possible to the headlight. You didn't mention the 2 rachet clips that secure the bottom of the plastic wiring shroud. I found them flimsy, so replaced it with a small nut and bolt. Lastly, I mounted the fairing to the windshield and respective subframe points first before buttoning everything else up. The fit of my kit was so off that I couldn't get the mounting holes to line up otherwise. Hope this helps others.
Bloody hell. Just bought a Thruxton R that had the cowl on but because I hate the look I asked them to take it off, they told me it would take a week as they’re so busy atm. Now I understand why!!! That’s a lot of work😳
you make that seem so easy. no doubt you're a talented mechanic. i like your turn signals. can you please share a link or more info on them? i wouldn't mind adding those to my thurx 1200 r. thanks for sharing the great tutorial vid.
Thanks for the video, it was definitely helpful. The only issue I had was getting all the wiring to reach and fit back in the housing since the fairing bracket is longer I feel I didn't have as much slack for the wires but you did not seem to have that issue. Probably going to redo it again at some point.
Just a heads up; you didnt need to use the lower clipons to install the fairing i know like 10 thruxton riders who kept them on during their installs without any issues.
@@lemonheadgarage this is what I came here to find out. I bought the kit unaware of the lowered clip ons. I want to keep the original bar height for comfort. Thanks!
thank you for the tutorial! Just a question: I am about to buy a thruxton rs 2024 which would come with a preinstalled fairing, but I'd like to change the halogen stock lamp with a LED one. Do you think I will need to remove the fairing to access the headlamp or it can be done without removing it? Thank you

Great video. Thank you. I have the 2022 Thruxton RS. Did you have to mess with the break line at all? Or anything with the fluid reservoir or the line to the fluid reservoir? The instructions seemed to call for it but I’m wondering if that can be avoided.

I was told by Triumph main dealer last week if you use the standard clip on with the fairing it will fail the MOT (UK) as there is a lack of full range of motion - I asked as I wanted the standard clip ons instead of my current dropped clip ons.
NICELY DONE VIDEO! Quick question... the new clip-ons appear to drop... How much drop? looks like 2"? just trying to gauge the new ergos from this mod...
I have a T RS with the fairing and asked about the standard clip ons and if they would also be compatible with the fairing. Answer was no because there is a lack of full motion and would fail (UK) the MOT, I was told as the same time they are 2”
@@lemonheadgarage yes! I already bought it and all parts were included. Without the fairing the motorcycle looks great but with it already installed looks amazing! Love it!
