    These are great ideas! A stasher bag or a headlamp are great gifts too. I like to add that the number on the Opinel knives refers to the size of the blade. I'd go with at least a no.7 but no.8 is the most common one and if you have big hands go with a no.9 :)) I have had the no.7 for 14 years and it is still going strong!

      couldn't agree more! I've got a pair that's just about to get a hole in the heel, and those socks are nearly 10 years old

    Good shout out about lights and batteries. I went from AA to AAA to rechargeable lights. Then realised that ‘rechargeable’ eventually means ‘disposable’ 🤯
    I’m eventually going to move over to lights with rechargeable batteries.

    "Good To Go" brand foods for backpacking, and the bike. Best meals I've tasted over 50 years of trying them all. Stoves, started with a brass Svea in 1970, today the Jet Boil Micro Mo model works best, small, light, fast, and the regulator allows simmering with longest fuel burn. Great videos! Thanks.

    ….catching up on my favorite vids. As always,… great suggestions,….! My wife and I are very avid backpackers, so much of our gear crosses over. We found Heather’s Choice has some of the best tasting freeze dries meals and Food for the Sole has delicious vege options.

    A little higher ticket than these items, but any suggestions (and links) for repair stands?

    • @DirtyTeethMTB
      @DirtyTeethMTB  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve had a park deluxe home repair stand for years - burley and stable, love it… but the pcs 10? is also fine for home… and I’ve used my friends’ feedback telescoping portable one and it’s also a great option- I’ve used the pro, but they also have a more budget friendly sport option- hope that helps!

    Nitecore power banks not good at pass thru, Voltaic better in this regard

    • @DirtyTeethMTB
      @DirtyTeethMTB  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for sharing. I rarely use my dynamo hub these days, but I do have a voltaic battery and have recommended it in other videos (I think my klite review) I especially like the dual usb ports- but Nitecore is light, slim, and fantastic in extremely cold weather… and ride on!
