We ran a pre release last night at my local game store here in CT... with 16 people showed up to play, went 2/2 came in 6th, was a great time, felt like life was back to normal for the 4 hours we were there, no mask, everyone trading and having a great time!!!! Fuck coronuu..... magic is meant to be played socially it’s called magic the “gathering” for a reason!!!! SPEAK EASY MAGIC!!!! We have the Best game store in CT and the coolest owner there is....
I haven't touched MTG since 5th edition. I still have some from my favorite set: Ice age. Good memories.
If wizards sent you this box this would all but confirm that wizards sends creators stacked boxes pleasant Kenobi’s box he got from wizards was packed with all the good stuff

It’s good to have you back cracking some packs! Welcome back Jeremy! Also in Core 2020 they did increase the number of foils in boxes, so it’s not too uncommon to get 2 foil rares.

Always have the best hats on TH-cam. Getting impatient with my pre-order, figured they would have at least shipped out today. But nope. My local lgs is only allowing pickup orders on Friday only. They are still closed, no events.

They just realised that banning big content creators for "pepe memes" isn't profitable in the long run when your card stock is crap and the art isn't what it used to be

I got lucky but I was pulling tons of mythics out of my box as well. 8 out of one box and 2 out of the bundle. I also got tons of foil rares. Fun box to open

Man, I just got done with unboxing and putting together my Theros Beyond Death and now another set? Man...I need more money or they need to slow down.
I do also enjoy the alternate arts. I really like how they have a better selection from this set over theros. I call them comic book art cards cause they look like they were pulled from comic book panels

Jesus Jeramy has massive hands that put my tiny baby hands to shame! I need two hands to hold my booster box safely! If he were to deck me with what looks like hulks fist it would fairly encompass my whole face! Also nice pulls.

Hey. I don't remember the details but I thought they announced something about doing away with the DCI numbers. Maybe you'll be able to get back into going and playing once they implement that change. I'm pretty sure DesolatorMagic and/or the Magic Historain made a video about it.

DCI numbers will go away, so you can just make a new "Wizards Account" , and your banning will go away anyway.

I talked with one of the owners of my LGS a while ago and he said it was just the Planeswalker Points that were going away. Not DCI numbers.

Wizards is getting rid of DCI numbers so it doesn't matter if you are dci banned it is now going to go off arena accounts .

I just got my preordered booster box of ikoria through amazon from sb gaming and shit its been tampred with!!! No box topper pack was in there and ALL the booster packs have been opened & resealed! Idk wtf to do
Report your transaction to amazon for fraud. If you paid with PayPal, report to get reimbursement with pictures and explanation.
There's a TH-cam video of a guy that bought 30+ prerelease box from a store, they were all resealed. He explains what he did.
Point is: It is a type of fraud.

I've always been a casual MTG player and played with friends and collected cards. Never got into competitive. What does it mean to be banned? Like he can't attend sponsored events?
He can't play or attend in any sanctioned DCI events in person or online.

Wizards just needs to pull the trigger and kill the mechanic in every format. Then the rules committee needs to do that with edh. But neither will happen

xmage is pretty good
I use an app on my phone called forge or something like that I had to download it off a site i think. It lets you play against ai and you can use any card you want and I think you can play different formats too.

Do they have a more matte finish compared to another, it might be a japanese print run. Those are becoming more the norm less pringling

I agree you should be unbanned. If Myles Garret can rip a dudes helmet off and bash him in the head, get suspended and be able to come back, you should be able to play a sanctioned kids card game lol.

@@TheJohannes44 It's a different game (NFL) but he got in a fight with Mason Rudolph from the Pittsburgh Steelers last year. Can Google it watch read up on it. He was banned indefinitely from NFL for such a violent act and then this off season was reinstated

Ikoria has ruined every single constructed format smh... I’m not buying it personally bc I refuse to support recent design trends. This attitude of “let’s print over powered cards we know will break formats but also sell boxes, then ban them after we’ve taken the suckers money” is wearing my patience thin.
That price is wrong, Death Corona is worth far more, since it was cancelled after first printing
Tbh the majority of them will be the “missprint”. Most of them will come from the collectors boxes which were already printed and wotc won’t do a second run on them. Unless they do it for the first time with this collectors addition. Then you’ll only get a 1 in 20 shot of seeing the new version per box as the box topper.
The “correct” version will probably be rarer than the “missprint” lol

Inquisitor Floki its not bringing back the original print. Its that all the collectors boxes were already printed before the whole controversy and they wont do another run of the collectors boxes with either version.
So the only way to get the new version will be the 1 in 20 shot of the box topper.
